Afterlife Communication with Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees
Some things are true whether you believe in them or not.
~ Angel Seth played by Nicolas Cage in the movie City of Angels
With love and gratitude, I welcome you to Paisley and Poppies! It is here that I would like to share with you the afterlife communications and spiritual experiences I have had with Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees. As many of you know, he was a member of one of the world’s most beloved R&B bands, contributing to humanity one of the most beautiful catalogs of love and dance songs ever written.
On May 20, 2012, Robin passed away and returned to life in spirit. I did not know it at the time, but my life would change in profound ways as a result of his passing. I discovered that I share a strong spiritual connection with him that has endured and strengthened since 2012. Now, I feel I am in the position to share what I have learned in order to make a positive contribution to the literature on afterlife communication.
My perspective on afterlife communication with Robin is influenced by the fact that I was diagnosed with Stage 1A breast cancer in June, 2018. I was diagnosed just a few months after I published my first post here. I am recovered now. But I have firsthand experience with facing my mortality. As a result of this, what I write here is truly from my heart.
It is my intention to do God’s work and to honor Robin’s spirit through this website. I wish to share good spiritual information that is educational, authentic, uplifting and most of all, truthful.
How it Began
Beginning in April, 2012, upon learning that Robin had been ill, I began to reconnect with the music of the Bee Gees. It was during this time that I experienced an inexplicable pull towards him and strong feeling that he was a member of my soul family. It was unusual and something I had never experienced before with anyone else. It was puzzling since he was someone in the public eye that I had never met and whose career I had not been following.
After Robin’s passing in May, I began to notice an interesting phenomenon. On a repeated, regular basis, details of my personal and everyday life matched details of Robin’s life in a very precise manner.
Whether it was something I read about him in book, a detail about a photo of him, something I wrote about him in my journal or something I said to his spirit, it was reflected back to me with incredible accuracy. I give many examples of this in my posts.
In December, 2012, after months of experiencing this phenomenon, I asked for direct guidance from God, (whom I consider to be loving) about what the nature of our connection is. This is because I did not know what to make of this synchronizing, matching and mirroring that I noticed. In addition to the continuous synchronicity, I also had very powerful visitation dreams of Robin during the summer and fall of 2012.
The guidance that I received is that we share a twin soul connection. How this came to be, I’m not exactly sure. Ultimately, it is a spiritual connection with origins beyond this world and this one lifetime.
I have witnessed throughout the years, since the summer of 2012, how details of our lives synchronize in the most uncanny ways. To this day, it is still a mysterious connection that I share with him. After his death, I also discovered many life parallels that reveal we share very precise spiritual and personal connections even though we did not know each other.
Paisley and Poppies: Goals and Objectives
My primary objective with Paisley and Poppies is to communicate the truth that Robin’s spirit continues to live on after the death of his physical body. Not only does his spirit continue to live on, he is able to intelligently communicate in the ways commonly documented in the afterlife communication literature. I have had numerous experiences over the years that have confirmed this for me.
By communicating the truth that his spirit continues to live on, I am also affirming that all people who depart the world physically continue to live on spiritually. We are more than our flesh and blood human selves. Much more!
Many departed souls are able to communicate with loved ones on earth and do so regularly. I am attempting to demystify afterlife communication, to show that it is very much an everyday, down-to-earth phenomenon. People all over the world are experiencing it.
The messages I receive from Robin vary from subtle to very powerful, but they always have the quality of following the flow of my everyday life. The communications have become a most sublime addition to my life. I hope you will enjoy reading about them.
As a spirit, Robin is able to communicate in highly creative ways. His spirit has taught me so much, more than I ever could have imagined. I feel strongly that I am meant to share my stories so that as many people as possible can enjoy the afterlife communications vicariously and learn from them as well.
My next objective is to communicate that soul family and twin soul connections are real and true. I describe how I define twin souls, according to the information I was personally given at the beginning of my journey in 2012, in the background section of this website. At the time of Robin’s passing, I knew nothing about twin souls. But, my firsthand experience of the phenomenon has led to my studying it extensively over the years across multiple sources.
Many of my posts will demonstrate how a twin soul connection could manifest, even after death and even if you never met. My particular connection with Robin manifests through commonly-known afterlife communications.
True spiritual connections are confirmed and you will see this confirmation in my writings. I share lots of pictorial and written evidence of our connection as well.
No Afterlife Interviews
I want to make it clear that I am not channeling Robin’s spirit in my writings. Many people write about afterlife communication and state they are interviewing a particular person in spirit and share what that person is saying. But, I do not have that ability and will not be sharing that type of communication here. My communications with Robin fall within the usual afterlife communication categories of synchronicity, dreams, telekinesis, electrical activity, and general communications (license plate, comments from other people, etc.,).
It has been a fascinating experience to get to know what Robin is like beyond his physical form. I had to learn how to connect with his spirit, which involved learning the new language of afterlife communication.

Why is This Website Called Paisley and Poppies?
This title was chosen to honor two very important aspects of Robin’s life.
In 2011, Robin was featured on a television show called, Who Do You Think You Are? On this show, it was revealed through extensive genealogical study that Robin had ancestors from Paisley, Scotland.
Here is a link to that episode of the TV program.
I chose to include “poppies,” in the title because of Robin’s work with the RAF Bomber Command Memorial honoring the veterans of WWII and soldiers who perished fighting for our freedoms. Poppies are a symbol of remembrance for war veterans.
The Official Poppy Appeal Single for 2011 was Bee Gees’ song, I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You, which Robin performed along with the band, The Soldiers.
The Poppy Appeal is a large fundraising campaign of The Royal British Legion which takes place each year in November. They use the money to provide support for the armed forces community.
Another reason I decided to choose this title is because of significant synchronicity I experienced concerning Robin and these 2 topics. You can read about what transpired in the synchronicity section of the blog in a post called Synchronicity and Samhain 2017.
Robin’s Strength of Spirit
I would also like to point out the strength of spirit that Robin showed during his participation in the Poppy Appeal and creation of the RAF Bomber Command Memorial. He had been diagnosed with cancer by this time in 2011, yet he still carried on being completely himself, singing, serving and contributing to honoring others. When most of us would have curled up in bed, Robin stayed active. He showed tremendous courage and strength of character to be who he truly was even while facing his own mortality. He was one of the world’s most beautiful and cherished singers, songwriters and composers. I feel greatly honored to be connected with his spirit, to experience him as a spiritual being, and to serve him now through this website.
In closing, I would like to share this quote. I am inspired by this near death experience and the question posed in the book, The Journey Home, by Phillip L. Berman. This is the deeper reason behind why I created this website:
“…they were joined by a “being of light” who is able, as one near-death experience put it, “to see right through me and reveal my deepest secrets.” Often the being of light talks with those who have had near-death experiences, asking them a few simple questions, the most common being, “What do you have to show me of your life?” One woman said that it was God who addressed her: Instantly my entire life was laid bare and open to this wonderful presence, “God.” I felt inside my being his forgiveness for the things in my life I was ashamed of, as though they were not of great importance. I was asked—but there were no words; it was straight mental instantaneous communication—“What had I done to benefit or advance the human race?” At the same time all my life was presented instantly in front of me and I was shown or made to understand what counted. I am not going into this any further but, believe me, what I had counted in life as unimportant was my salvation and what I thought was important was nil,” (page 118)
I can think of few things more important to ask oneself, especially when you are aware that you only have so much time on this earth. What am I going to do to benefit or advance the human race? I would like to offer this website as one way of benefiting the human race. I hope to benefit people by sharing that loving spirits can support you in your life more than you may have ever believed. More importantly, it’s not just the people you knew in one earthly life that can be the greatest catalyst for your growth.
Thank you for reading what I have to share!
With warm blessings,
Christina Samuels
