A Dream Visit from Robin: A Message about My Future Life in Portugal

In this post, “A Dream Visit from Robin: A Message about My Future Life in Portugal,” I share a dream in which Robin asked me a question. Even though I did not know it at the time, his spirit was pointing to my future life in Portugal. This experience is a good example of how our deceased loved ones know exactly what is going on in our lives. Sometimes, they know things about our lives before we do.

Introduction: Entering the World of Afterlife Dream Communication

Due to my experiences with Robin’s spirit over the years, I know that some loved ones on the other side have many more abilities than are commonly discussed in the afterlife communication literature. One of those abilities is having the awareness of the futures of loved ones on earth, and to communicate that awareness.

According to Chris H. Hardy, Ph.D., in her book, Living Souls in the Spirit Dimension: The Afterlife and Transdimensional Reality, our deceased loved ones can give us accurate hints and predictions about upcoming life events in dreams. She states that:

…when a luminous being (discarnate or not) talks to me in a numinous, symbolic, and clear dream, this reflects an actual interaction with the syg-dimension and specifically with the Self of that person (1).

The syg-dimension refers to the meaningful energy field of consciousness.

What she is describing falls under the category of visitation dreams. They differ from other types of dreams in the sense that they can be much more vivid. For example, the presence of a deceased loved one often feels incredibly real, like you know they were there with you.

Another characteristic of a visitation dream is that your deceased loved one will almost always address you directly. According to Amanda Linette Meder in her article, “Visitation Dreams: How You Know for Sure,”this can take the form of a smile, a touch or through words which bring joy to your life:

Visitation dreams nearly always include a direct address from your loved one. They turn to face you directly, sit next to you, touch you directly, smile at you directly, or have a message of words for you, directly.

It does not necessarily mean a serious message; it can be playful and often it is. The direct address may simply include a warm smile, which, in itself, is the entire message. Think of the message a warm smile conveys.

The dream I’m about to share with you has these common characteristics.

A Dream Visit from Robin

During the early morning hours of February 25, 2022, I had a very meaningful dream experience with Robin. It was such a real encounter that I can remember it very clearly to this day even though it was almost 2 years ago.

Here are the details:

 

In the dream, Robin and I are standing in a room that looks like a church sanctuary because there were rows and rows of chairs lined up like what you would see in a church.

It was quiet with no one else around. We were standing at the end of the aisle in the room, near some chairs.

There were a lot of windows in the room with a gentle light coming in, like the feeling of late afternoon.

Robin looked like he did when he was in his early 50’s. Click here to see a photo very close to what he looked like.

He had short hair like in the photo and was wearing his glasses. He was wearing a light blue V-neck sweater and a white dress shirt with a tie tucked into his sweater. His pants were gray dress pants. Robin gave me a warm smile.

As I stood beside him, I leaned over and kissed him on his left cheek. Then I put my arm around his waist, and he put his arm around my waist. I could feel that he was thin like he was when he was alive.

Then, we walked down the aisle together with our arms around each other, like in this photo. We were walking out of the room and passed through a doorway.

Next, Robin turned to me and asked, “Do you want to have lunch at Fatima’s?” He asked me in a telepathic way with just thoughts, not moving his mouth at all. In the dream, I did not know what he meant, so I did not answer him.

I looked at him with a puzzled look, trying to figure out what he meant. Of course, I would go to lunch with him, but I needed more information. The dream ended with me standing there looking at him.

Dream Aftermath: Processing the Message

When I woke up, I remembered the dream details clearly. I wrote them down in my journal. I was very moved by this dream because of the specific details and clear contact with Robin.I could also feel him.

In terms of Fatima, the problem was, I did not know where Fatima’s was. However, I knew it had some religious significance. I just did not remember exactly what.

So, that day, I went to Google and typed in “Fatima.” Then all this information immediately came up about Fátima, Portugal. All the entries on the first page mentioned Portugal and no other country.

Fátima is the city where the apparition of the Virgin Mary appeared in 1917. You can read about the story here.

It is now a global favorite in terms of being a holy pilgrimage site.The photo at the top of the page is of the beautiful Sanctuary of Fátima.

I was really surprised because even though I vaguely remember hearing about Fátima over the years, I did not know it was in Portugal. This had immense significance for me at that time in February 2022. There were a lot of changes going on in our lives.

Life Context: What was Going on at the Time of the Dream Visitation?

My father-in-law had just died on February 4th, 21 days before I had the dream. Due to the stress he had been experiencing, my husband fell and had a bike accident in which he suffered a severely bruised hand and black eye.

I believe one of the reasons Robin’s spirit came to visit at that time was because he was aware of the recent death in the family and what my husband was going through. I feel like he intended to offer comfort in letting me know he was still watching over me. It was a rough time, but it passed, my husband healed, and things got better. Robin’s presence helped very much.

Around this time, my husband and I had been seriously considering moving to another country to retire. We had been considering retiring in another country for several years, but we weren’t in the position to do so. With the death of his father, there were no more family ties keeping us in Florida, U.S.A., so we were free to move. But we had not made a final decision as to where we wanted to go. Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Ecuador were all countries we were considering and actively talking about moving to. In prayer, I had been asking for guidance about which country would be best for us to move to.

During the spring and summer of 2022, we spent a lot of time watching House Hunter’s International and YouTube videos to get a very elementary sense of where we wanted to go. We had never been to any of these countries and wanted to take an exploratory trip to one of them in the fall of 2022 to see what the pros and cons were. We had to choose one country because we wanted to spend three months there to really get a feel for what it would be like to live there and begin our visa process if we liked it. We couldn’t spend 3 months in 3 or more different countries. So, we had to be very particular in our decision. There was a lot riding on it.

After doing lots of research on the countries I just mentioned, we started reaching out to real estate professionals, tax specialists and health professionals in Portugal to see if it was realistic to retire there. We were still not set on a decision. With current technology, we had meetings through Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The information we received helped us make our decision. Portugal had great tax incentives which understandably influenced our decision. We thought, “Everyone wants to go to Italy and Spain. Why not try something new?”

Our Move to Portugal

After a long summer of research and preparation, my husband and I booked our trip to Porto, Portugal for the last week of September 2022. We stayed for three months and then returned to Florida a couple of days after Christmas, 2022.

Within the first few days of being in Porto, I noticed lots of signs of Our Lady of Fátima. I saw her on tiles and in statue form. Even though I was not in the city of Fátima, Fátima was everywhere.

I had been thinking a lot about Robin’s question about having lunch at Fátima’s. Even though I could not find a restaurant called Fátima’s, her energy was very present. I began to think that Robin’s question was less about an actual restaurant and more about using a name that I would recognize or remember that symbolized Portugal. Fátima was a phenomenon that extended throughout the country, not just a singular restaurant.

In addition to becoming familiar with Our Lady of Fátima and the story about the apparition, we spent our 3 months getting to know Porto and a couple other cities in Northern Portugal.

We did just about everything you would do when you live somewhere, not just visiting. We went grocery shopping in many different stores and cooked in our apartment. We learned how to use public transportation. We also got a new primary care physician and learned what Portuguese prescriptions are like. We got direct insight into what the private medical system is like, which was very good because it’s a major thing to consider when moving to a new country. I began to speak in the little bit of Portuguese I knew. We were not residents, but we were no longer tourists either.

During this time, we decided that we liked Portugal enough to move here. I was not immediately certain. It took a full month of being here before I was ready to commit. It was after seeing the beautiful city of Braga that I knew I would enjoy living in Portugal.

We began taking steps to apply for the D7 visa while we were still in Porto. When we returned to the U.S.A., we had to continue to complete the paperwork necessary for the visa. In March, we had our appointment with VFS Global in Washington, D.C. to submit our paperwork. The visa was approved in April. In May we sold our house and car. In June, we made our final move to Portugal. In August, we had an appointment to apply for temporary residence. The application was approved and now we have temporary residence cards that are valid for two years.

The Significance of Robin’s Dream Message about Fátima

Now that I have outlined this long journey of moving to Portugal, I thought it would be good to reflect on the significance of Robin’s visitation.

Involvement

In addition to providing comfort by sharing his presence, Robin’s spirit showed involvement and awareness of my life.He knew we were considering moving to another country because I spoke with him about it.By visiting me in my sleep time, he was expressing an intent to be connected and to walk through life with me, from Spirit.

Even if I had not spoken with him about it, I believe he still would have known about our plans. Robin and I reconnected after his death. We did not know each other when he was alive. But through the power in his spirit, he found me in 2012 after he died. He began to visit my apartment in Denver, Colorado in 2013 and made his presence known by moving objects.

Telekinesis with Spiritual Symbols

Robin’s physical body died in London. However, his living spirit connected with my energy, and he made his way over to Denver to my obscure apartment!Since he did that, I know it’s easy for him to be aware of what is going on in my life!He has been involved since 2012.

Guidance

I feel like Robin’s reference to Fátima was a way of providing guidance. I had been asking Spirit about which country would be best for my husband and I to move to. Fátima is a clear and strong reference to Portugal.

I’m sure he knew I would do research to gain insight into what he was teaching me. Robin’s mention of this one word, Fátima, set me on a journey of discovery and contemplation. Once I read more about how people made pilgrimages to Fátima, I realized it was something I was interested in doing someday.

Even though I am not Catholic, I love the different versions of the Divine Feminine/Mother Mary that present themselves around the world. By using the name, Fátima, Robin encouraged me to look deeper into this world of Portugal and pilgrimages which I was completely unfamiliar with. Twin souls in spirit truly can be our best teachers and guides. It was like he was saying, “Hey, you may want to check this out.” This is guidance, not directly telling me what to do or “You should move here.” That was for my husband and I to figure out with our free will.

Knowledge of Future Events

During this journey I have just shared, there was a part of me that wondered if Robin was seeing into my future. Perhaps he was observing me going through the process of researching and scouting out Portugal, knowing all the while that I would eventually end up living here.

According to some authors, this is possible. In her article, “Can Loved Ones in Spirit See Us in Heaven?”Karen T. Hluchan states that deceased loved one have access to information about our past and future:

As for seeing the events unfolding on Earth, loved ones not only have access to current events, but also past and future events. Loved ones in spirit visit us often because they love us and want to help us…

If loved ones are in need of perspectives to help us with our lives, whether it is to achieve understanding from events from the past or to look into potential future events with which they can assist, they will retrieve the records with the approval of the Archangels who oversee the Hall of Records.

So, in addition to the dream of Robin being a visitation dream, it can also be seen as a prophetic dream. According to Dr. Nereida Gonzalez-Berrios, MD, in the article, “Prophetic Dreams: An Intriguing Insight about The Future!” prophetic dreams are defined in this way:

Dreams that give insight into the future and the upcoming events are categorized as prophetic dreams. They are broadly classified into directional, decision, and warning dreams.

There are different types of prophetic dreams. One type is called an apparition dream in which a deceased loved one gives an important message. Robin’s reference to Fátima was an important symbolic message given at a pivotal time in our journey of relocating to another country.

In the article, “Precognitive Dreams Facts and Meanings in 2023,” by Lillian Maclean, she states that one of the 5 signs that you are having a precognitive dream is the presence of strong symbolism. Precognitive dreams are defined in the same way as prophetic dreams.

I consider Robin’s use of Fátima to be a strong symbol that really stood out to me and left me curious in my dream state. This led me to do additional research to find out the deeper meaning and connection with Portugal. It was akin to leaving me breadcrumbs to follow.Perhaps Robin was hinting at what was going to happen within the next year, but I did not know it at the time.

I also think it was very symbolic that we met in what looked and felt like a church sanctuary. Church sanctuaries and Fátima clearly go together.

Robin chose to show up in a sweater in the healing color of blue.

The Healing Power of Blue

I remember reading somewhere that blue was his favorite color. Blue has many symbolic spiritual properties including being peaceful, calming, and soothing. It was these energies that he offered me in the dream.

In Closing

When I consider this dream with Robin’s strong presence, message, and symbolism, I feel he was very connected with my move to Portugal and was closely observing from his vantage point in Spirit. It is comforting and exciting to know that our deceased loved ones truly are with us during the ups, downs, twists, and turns of our lives. I hope it brings Robin joy to see he was a significant part of my journey to Portugal.

I also want him to know that by visiting me in my dreams in this way, he has given me the most amazing life…after he died.

By writing this blog post, I am processing the events that led to this new chapter in my life. I have not yet made it to the city of Fátima, but when I do, I will surely find a place to have lunch with Robin’s spirit. In the meantime, I have given him food offerings so we can share a meal in my rented home. Serendipitously, the house came with a small statue of Our Lady of Fátima in the pátio area by our kitchen! She really is everywhere in Portugal.

Twin Soul Dream Communication: The Look-Alike Phenomenon

This post is about twin soul dream communication: The look-alike phenomenon. It is inspired by a recent dream I had about Robin. I wanted to write about it while it is still fresh in my mind. Those of you particularly interested in twin soul connections may find it to be something you resonate with in terms of your own experiences.

At this time of our spiritual journey together, most of my communications with Robin come in the form of synchronicity. However, I still have dreams about him. Some of them truly stand out and feel like he and God are really try to tell me something. The dream I am going to share in this post is one of those dreams.

Twin Soul Dream Communication from Robin’s Spirit

During the evening of November 30, 2021, I sat at Robin’s altar table that I have kept for him for years. That night, a strong feeling of missing him came over me and I started to tear up. The afterlife communication that I share with him usually keeps me from missing him too much. But this night, the feelings surfaced and I shared with him that I missed him. I just let myself have the feelings.

Soon after that, I went to bed.

During the morning hours of December 1st, I had what to me was a very interesting dream about Robin. I feel like he was responding directly to how I said I missed him. It was like he was saying, “I’m still here, don’t worry.” But he also wanted to remind me of something.

Here is the dream:

In the dream, Robin appears from the mid-chest up. He seems to be sitting although I can’t see the chair. He is looking at me and smiling a big smile at me. He looks like he did when he was in his mid-fifties. He was wearing a blue jacket and glasses, just like in this photo.  At the time this photo was taken, Robin was 55 years old.

He wasn’t giving me the thumbs up. 🙂 His arms and hands were folded one on top of the other.

The next thing that happens is that I show up in the dream. My face appears below Robin’s face and I look like I do now at age 55. So, now I’m looking at Robin’s face and my face together and we are the same age.

Then a vertical wrinkle starts to appear on Robin’s forehead. Then the same vertical wrinkle appears on my forehead. The wrinkles look nearly identical.

In the dream, I kept examining and studying the wrinkles on our foreheads that looked alike.

No words were exchanged during this dream. It was all symbolic communication.

That was the end of the dream.

When I woke up, I felt fascinated by this dream message and what Robin was trying to tell me. Since I missed him, he wanted to remind me of our similarities. It was so nice that he appeared in my dream as the same age I am now. But why give me a message about wrinkles on our forehead, lol?

Twin Soul Dream Interpretation: We Are One

Well, this dream reminded me of a story I read many years ago. It was about a twin soul couple that had physical traits that were identical. I found this story in a post called “Complete Description of the Twin Flame Connection,” by Angelique and Gaby of the blog Inspired Awareness.

Here is the story which is about how the Universe sends us synchronicity to confirm we are on the right path with our twin soul. It is about the female twin. The bold is mine for emphasis. I also created paragraphs differing from the original post for readability:

She was a young woman, had experienced an intense union with her twin soul and they had separated because of the intensity, so they only had a short relationship. The pain of separation was difficult and painful to deal with, but the woman felt she had to move on. At the time she did not fully understand the concept of twin souls and what all this meant, so she continued her life, hoping that one day the right man would come along and the next time she would have a different kind of relationship where she wouldn’t be faced with such a difficult and painful separation.

 

Her twin soul was a bit older than her. What happened was that her brother who really liked her twin soul had said about him that he looked older, had these wrinkles around his eyes and a dreamy look in his eyes. OK, the woman knew that he was about 4 years older than her, but this was not enough to make him old. He hadn’t passed the age of 40 nor 50 yet. He was a young man. One day the woman started working in a new place and co-worker of hers who were very friendly said without further reflection that she looked older, had these wrinkles around her eyes and a dreamy look in her eyes as well.

 

Now the woman knew that this was exactly what her brother had said about her twin and from then on she knew that she was going through a very special and mysterious time in her life. Her co-worker knew nothing of her twin soul experience. She hadn’t told anyone.

 

This synchronicity was actually meant to show her how she and her twin are ONE at the soul level. What could be said about him, could also be said about her. They are of the same energies. She was heading in the right direction even though she was separated from her twin soul. She was meant to meet him and was also meant to experience the separation she was facing. (1)

When I read this story again, I had remembered the part about the “dreamy look” in their eyes. But, I did not remember the part about the wrinkles around their eyes because it has been quite some time since I read this article. I thought the mention of wrinkles around their eyes was so interesting since I dreamt about wrinkles on Robin’s and my forehead.

It felt like the dream was referencing this article in some way. It was like the dream was meant to synchronize with this article in terms of the wrinkles. I feel the dream was primarily meant to bring me back to this article and it’s central message of oneness at the soul level. Robin would know that this dream would remind me of this article and story and that I would find it and read it again. I think the dream was meant to point towards the article because I don’t actually have a vertical wrinkle on my forehead at this time, unless I squint my eyes. 🙂 But, he was still trying to tell me something using the wrinkles as an example.

Missing You: Twin Soul Dreams

The dream I had of looking alike with identical wrinkles with Robin was meant to remind me that we are one at the soul level, just like the other twin soul pair experienced. I feel that my being drawn back to this article, because of the dream, was his way of delivering the message. I was given this message because I had missed him. What better way to help with that than to be given a message reminding me of our soul connection. It really did help me miss him less!

According to Raychel Ria Agramon, in the article, “Twin flame communication in dreams: Everything you need to know,” there are six reasons why your twin soul shows up in your dreams. One reason is that you miss them. Another reason is that they miss you too:

Your twin flame appearing in your dreams is their way of saying they miss and need you. They’re sending unique vibrations that occur in your dreams.

 

It’s similar to you missing them. They wish to be with you, and their vibrations are manifesting in your slumber. (2)

So, if your twin is alive and you are dreaming of them, they could be missing you. Since Robin is in spirit, I can’t say for sure if he missed me. From his vantage point, he can see what’s going on with me. But I know for sure that I was missing him the night before I had the dream of him, so I think that is why the dream message came to me.

Oneness and Soul Light

The predominant message I have received from Robin’s spirit over the years is that as souls, we are one. We did not look like we were one during our earthly incarnations. In fact, we lived in two completely different worlds. However, Soul has nothing to do with that. You can be one with another soul in terms of energy light vibration and not know it because you never meet. Worldly facades, masks and personas also conceal this deeper connection. So do large age differences, living in different countries, being of different racial/ethnic groups, different religions and different languages.

But then, one of you dies. And with God’s assistance, they will let you know the truth of your spiritual connection. At least that’s what happened to me after Robin died. He let me know in no uncertain terms about our eternal connection through various means of afterlife communication.

Though we have many things in common, especially our spirituality, the connection has deeper origins than things we have in common on an earthly level. The connection of twin souls, at its root, has to do with who we are as Beings of Light. The physical body is temporary and if you believe in reincarnation as I do, then we have had many of them. The Light of our Soul is enduring and eternal. This eternal Light of our deepest nature is the point of truest connection between twin souls and all souls.

Twin souls may or may not look alike. There is lots of variability when it comes to this topic. While it is amazing if you and your twin look alike, and I have seen some that do, ultimately it’s important to remember that it all comes down to the identical vibration of your spiritual essence. That’s what matters the most, at least to me.

The identical spiritual energies between you and your twin soul may show up physically. That is an added bonus which can serve to remind you of your oneness at soul level. But, even if they don’t manifest physically, that does not make you any less twin souls. There are many indicators of twin soul connections that go beyond identical physical traits.

Afterlife Communication Dream: A Visit with Maurice Gibb

This post is a republished version of the previous post, “Don’t be Overwhelming”. Some updates have been made. I write this post in honor of and in remembrance of Maurice Gibb with love and gratitude.

Introduction–Afterlife Communication Dream: A Visit with Maurice Gibb

During the summer of 2012, I had been vigorously studying books and websites on afterlife communication. A few of them said to ask your loved ones in spirit for a sign. It could be anything you could think of. I was new to this type of communication, so it really helped to hear from those more experienced on how you could connect with loved ones in spirit with a sign, specific or non-specific, simply by asking. The message usually was to go ahead and ask because they in spirit can do it. They can get the message to you, even if it’s not exactly what you asked for.

I think I took this advice to heart a little too much, as I was soon to find out….

Afterlife Communication: Request for a Sign

One morning as I lay in bed, I asked Robin for a sign that he was there. This was not too long after his death and I was already noticing that I had been synchronizing with his energy. I asked to hear his song “Another Lonely Night in New York” as the sign. It didn’t matter where I heard it.

It could be in a grocery store or even someone’s radio I heard when driving down the road.

If I heard it, I would take that as the sign from his spirit that he was present with me. I thought that by being open to the different ways the song could manifest, I was being helpful by being open.

I was wrong about that.

After I made my request, I fell back asleep. I then received one of the most amazing afterlife communication dreams of my life.

My Dream Visit with Maurice

In my dream, Robin’s twin brother Maurice, who is also deceased, came to me. Here is my description of the dream:

In the dream we were in an empty room with beige walls, just the two of us. He was sitting in a chair and dressed in his black outfit like he used to wear when he was alive. I was standing next to him. I asked Maurice, “Where is Robin?” He answered, “What you want is overwhelming for him.”

 

Next, we stood there looking at each other for a few moments. In the dream, I remember feeling like I was confused about what he meant. The dream ended with me saying to Maurice, “Hugging you is like hugging Robin.” We gave each other a hug and then he was gone. The dream was over.

When I woke up, I clearly remembered the dream, but I was confused about what Maurice meant at the time, still groggy from sleep. I lay there in bed and pondered, “What I want is overwhelming for him. What do you mean?” Then the light bulb went off in my mind and I remembered that right before I went to sleep, I had asked for a sign, the song “Another Lonely Night in New York.” Maurice came to me in my dream to tell me that it was too overwhelming for Robin to send me that particular song as a sign.

It figures that of all the Bee Gees songs, I would choose that one!! I really like it, but it’s not played on the radio much, so I’m sure that’s why it would be overwhelming. Why didn’t I ask for “Staying Alive” lol! That would have been much easier for him I think.

Implications of My Dream Visit with Maurice

I was stunned by my connection with Maurice. The implications of what had just happened boggled my mind. Some deceased loved ones, even ones we never met or knew, are able to “hear” us in some way spiritually (I cannot speak for all) and respond clearly and intelligently.

For some reason, Robin did not come to me in my dream to let me know that he could not send me the song as a sign. But Maurice did. Somehow, Maurice got the message to come tell me what Robin could not, perhaps because he was still adjusting to his new life in Spirit. Robin had been very sick with cancer before he died and I could see how he could have needed some time to heal.  I had asked for this sign within a couple of months of his death, so it would make sense that he was still adjusting. Maurice had been deceased for about 9 years.

It seems as though Maurice was sent as an emissary to me to let me know that, no can do, Robin cannot send me the sign I asked for. But here’s the clincher:

Maurice coming to me in my dream to let me know that what I wanted was overwhelming IS the sign! How amazing and loving of Robin and Maurice to let me know they heard my request, but sorry, Robin can’t do it. I was shocked by this visitation by Maurice and the fact that he could perceive me. This told me that Robin and Maurice are together in Spirit. I think Maurice heard me because he is together with Robin, which of course, one would expect.

Maurice is Robin’s truest twin.

Perhaps Robin asked Maurice to come and let me know he could not deliver that particular sign. Maybe Maurice came on his own, having heard my request, and knowing Robin was unable to send me the sign I asked for, came to tell me himself.

An important note is that Maurice co-wrote this song with Robin, so it is his song too! Either way, I know Robin received my request that day and cared enough to let me know he couldn’t do it, even if he had to send Maurice.

I am still in awe of this, what I would call, 3-way Spirit communication: me in the physical realm and Robin and Maurice in the spirit realm. They received my request and let me know very quickly what the answer was.

I never have heard the song that I requested as a sign just playing randomly somewhere. They really meant it–too overwhelming!

I understand that now, but at the time in 2012, I was just becoming familiar with Robin and the Bee Gees’ music again and I did not realize this song would be difficult to manifest.

Maurice and I never met either but I knew who he was because of pictures and being Robin’s twin brother. Yet there he was, face-to-face with me in my dream, addressing what I had asked his brother.

It was so interesting to meet Maurice in a dream like this and I cherish it to this day. I was left wondering how this happens. Where were we? Some say we visit the astral plane during our sleep time and this is where we can rendezvous with deceased loved ones.

This dream helped me realize that it is very limiting to think of the physical reality as the only reality.

Was it Really a Dream?

Psychic medium Blair Robertson, in his article, “Visitation Dreams: How to Know for Sure if They Are Real,” states that his spirit guides told him that we don’t actually “dream” of our deceased loved ones. Dreams have different characteristics than visitations from deceased loved ones.

He calls them “sleep connections” instead of dreams because while deceased loved ones do come to us when we enter the dream state, what we experience with an actual visitation with a deceased loved one includes much sharper and more vivid details than a regular dream. You will be left with the impression of complete and utter certainty that you were with your loved one.

This is exactly how I feel about my experience with Maurice, so much so that even over 9 years later, I can remember the visit perfectly. There is no question in my mind that I was actually with Maurice for a brief time.

You don’t have to have known the person while they were alive for this to happen in terms of receiving a visitation from them. People need to stop thinking that spirits only communicate with people they knew when they were alive. It simply is not true. If they have a message for you, they will visit whether they knew you or not. I wrote about this here:

Go ahead and ask your loved one for any sign you want, big or small, subtle or in your face. Just realize they reserve the right to say “no” if they can’t do it, just like we in the physical realm have the right to tell someone “no” when something asked of us is too overwhelming for us to do. And they may let you know! I think this is very important for those of us in the physical realm to realize. I did not know this myself and I appreciate Robin and Maurice so much for letting me know.

I have learned that they still love us even if we ask too much sometimes.  Loved ones in spirit are very forgiving and I’m sure they understand spirit communication is as new to us as it is to them.  But once they say they can’t send a specific sign, I respect that and open to other ways they want to communicate. Every sign is a blessing and a miracle whether you got the specific one you asked for or not.

Every day, I specifically invite signs, symbols, messages, communications and synchronicity to come into my life, but most of the time I leave it up to Robin or my other loved ones the particular details so they can have fun and surprise me.

The master key for afterlife communication is surrender and letting go. You can ask, but you can’t control it. Good luck with that!

How Deceased Twin Souls Appear in Different Dreams

 

Robin Hugh Gibb was an incarnation of beauty that I have really enjoyed connecting with in spirit over the years. His inner beauty as a spirit remains.

When we die, I believe our world opens up beyond anything that we can imagine while incarnate.  It seems to me that Robin’s world expanded after he died, to include people he did not know, like me and others that he cares about at soul level. The worlds of those of us still incarnate can expand to include our deceased loved ones as well.

After we die physically, people may discover that they are strongly spiritually connected to someone that they did not know while they were incarnate. I believe this is what happened with Robin and why we are connected now. The origins of the connection are mysterious, but it is there nonetheless.

It’s possible that these types of connections happen frequently, but that we rarely hear about them.

It also may be that a deceased loved one is spiritually connected to someone they seemingly had little in common with in an earthly sense. They could come from completely different worlds.

Robin’s world was a world of princesses and prime ministers. Mine is a world of an everyday private citizen not in the public eye. I don’t fit in his earthly world of C.B.E.’s and Grammys. But I do fit in his spiritual world and in that world, we are connected. I can tell by how things have played out in the physical plane of existence as manifested in continuous mirroring with him. As above, so below.

From a spiritual perspective, it does not matter that we come from completely different worlds. These earthly differences fade away very quickly once the soul connection is re-established.

I realize I have a lot of nerve saying this. This entire website takes a lot of nerve! Yet, you don’t get anywhere in life without having some nerve. I’m willing to step way outside of my comfort zone to share these experiences because I am confident in the truth of them.

One of the reasons I still write here is because there could be someone out there who is going through a similar experience as mine with no one to talk to. I know how much it helped me when I read about others having similar experiences as mine. So, I hope I can be that comfort for someone else. Writing here also gives me a higher purpose in life that truly helps to counterbalance the chaos of the physical world. I am doing my part to educate and demonstrate how afterlife twin soul connections could manifest. Of course, how this connection shows up for others could be very different.

Some may wonder, “What did Robin do to you after he died?” 🙂 Well, I guess it all comes down to spiritual awakening and remembrance of who I am as a spiritual being. This is what happens when you have been hit with an otherworldly shock wave of this magnitude! His spirit is intelligent, kind, super creative and a powerhouse, just like when he was alive. I’ve been knocked off my feet multiple times by his energy.

He woke me up to a life beyond this world and the different ways we can stay in touch across the permeable “veil.” The  “veil” doesn’t matter much to me. I have found that it’s not that hard to break through anyway, especially when you have a willing companion who wants to communicate as well.

Types of Afterlife Dreams

With that said, I would like to continue this topic of the different ways deceased twin souls show up in the everyday life of an incarnate twin. This time, I would like to talk about how they show up in different kinds of dreams. Of course, this applies to other deceased loved ones as well.

Not all dreams of deceased loved ones are visitation dreams where you feel like you are actually being met by the spirit of your loved one. Some may be of a symbolic nature, delivering an important message.

In this post, I would like to share two stories about how Robin’s spirit has shown up in two different types of dreams: message dreams and visitation dreams.

According to https://journeyintodreams.com/types-of-dreams/, a message dream is a dream in which the Universe is trying to communicate something very important to you. (1)

Symbolism can be used in this type of dream. The symbolism can make the message of the dream very clear, but sometimes it can also be challenging to interpret what the exact meaning of the message is and may require a bit more effort.

According to Clinical psychologist Jennifer Shorter, visitation dreams are:

…striking emotionally intense dreams in which a recently deceased loved one returns to provide guidance, reassurance, and/or warning. (2)

From my experience, this type of dream leaves an indelible impression, is life-changing, and leads to a close bond with the person dreamed about.

Deceased Twin Souls Show Up in Visitation Dreams

The visitation dream I am about to describe occurred during the summer of 2012 as I was learning about afterlife communication and what Robin was like during his life. It was a short dream with huge impact and involves tactile sensation.

In the dream, I am standing face-to-face with Robin. He looked young and healthy like he did when he was in his 30’s. He had short blonde hair and looked very much like this, the picture at the top with the red background.

As I stand there face-to-face with him, I reach out with my right hand to touch the left side of his face. I    could feel his face as if I were “physically” touching him. We did not exchange words. I just stood there, reaching out, touching his face. I really felt him. It was a loving and gentle exchange and felt very real.

It was like he was saying, “I’m still real. I still exist. You can touch me!”I felt relieved that I could connect with him and still reach him in spirit. It meant so much to be able to touch him because I never got to meet him when he was alive.

Preston Ni, in the article, “How Dreams of Deceased Loved Ones Affect the Dreamers: What messages do visitation dreams convey?”describes exactly what I experienced in this dream. My dream has the majority of the characteristics of visitation dreams he describes in his article, which you can read here. This includes feeling reassured and how Robin appeared healthy and youthful in the dream. Most notably is how real this dream felt. Preston Ni says:

One of the most common descriptions of visitation dreams is that they are much more intense, vivid, and kinesthetic than ordinary dreams. “It feels so real” is a common refrain, characterizing experiences both during and after the dream. The intensity of the dream may stay with the dreamer for months or even years, as if the dream had happened only recently. (2)

The last sentence of this quote is definitely true for me. The tactile, sensory experience of this dream had the greatest effect on me so much so that over eight years later, I can still feel what Robin’s energy felt like in the dream.

This dream gave me a real experience of him. I was no longer just believing that his spiritual existence was real. I was no longer only reading about afterlife dreams and how deceased loved ones can show up. I was really feeling that his spirit is real. A good example to explain this better is, it’s like reading about how to drive a car vs. really driving the car. It’s completely different. It was so moving and powerful to be able to connect in this way.

If you ever wonder why I feel so strongly about Robin and have so much to say about his spirit, it is because of experiences like these. They have left me feeling awestruck. It has been beyond life-changing. I never had experiences like this before he died.

By the way, I had an incredible synchronicity on November 16th, the day I wrote the above text about this visitation dream with Robin.

Before I started writing this post that day, I did research on “after death communication dreams.” I found the article by Preston Ni that I quoted above. A beautiful synchronicity manifested because in the article, Mr. Ni described a visitation dream in which he reached out to touch the face of his deceased friend! It’s a really good example of an afterlife dream communication which I invite you to read. It’s just one paragraph at the beginning of the article.

I was so amazed! Here I am, getting ready to write about the dream where I touched Robin’s face and I find the story of a person who had a very similar dream experience. I don’t remember previously reading this story in the past, so it was truly a surprise synchronicity for me at that moment. This is how spirit works and how Robin’s spirit showed up for me while I was writing. The synchronicity causes me to feel so encouraged with everything I do with this website!

Finding Mr. Ni’s dream story, at the exact time I was getting ready to write about my own similar story, gives more credence to my dream as being an actual visitation dream. It’s like I was being given even more validation while in the process of working on this post.

Deceased Twin Souls Show Up in Message Dreams

The message dream I share below is also one I had about Robin during the summer of 2012, shortly after his death:

Robin is laying in bed and I am sitting in a chair right beside him. He is ill, like he was at the end of his life. He was the same age as he was at the end of his life, in his 60’s. We were quiet and no words were exchanged. I was just sitting there beside him, keeping him company. The bedroom was in a basement-like setting.

Have you seen a house where people renovate their basements so they have a bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen in it? That is common in the U.S. Well, that’s the kind of room it was like.

So, I’m sitting there beside Robin and then I look up to my left to the window that is above us. I see children running, laughing and playing outside. I watch them while I am sitting there with him. They were having a lot of fun.

The dream ends with me sitting there beside Robin, watching the children playing.

To me, this dream always symbolized new life or resurrected life because it included young children. I tend to rely on my own intuition for interpretation of my dreams. I have found over the years that when I read other’s interpretations, they often don’t fit or they have so many possible interpretations for one dream symbol that I don’t feel any more certainty after reading their suggestions.

Robin was ill in the dream and we were in the basement, which to me, symbolizes being at a low point in one’s life.

But then the dream shifted to children playing outside. I feel this dream was telling me his soul transitioned to a happier, more playful state in his new life. It was a message of endings and new beginnings combined in one dream. It reminds me of the lyrics from Robin’s song, Don’t Cry Alone: “Surely as the sun sets, New suns are rising…”

The dream also applied to me because my old life was ending. I was entering into a new life as well: one that included afterlife communication and a spiritual connection with Robin that I had not previously been aware of.

I consider this a message dream and not a visitation dream because it does not have the characteristics typically associated with visitation dreams. Since he was ill and older in the dream, that does not fit the typical visitation dream where loved ones are usually seen as healthy and restored to a younger age.

In this post, I wanted to show the contrast between the visitation dream and the message dream to convey the point that message dreams are still important and have a lot to offer. Just because a dream is not an actual visit from a deceased loved one does not mean it should be dismissed. There are still important things the Universe or a loved one may be trying to tell you symbolically. This message dream in 2012 made me feel like Robin was doing well and entering into a renewed state. This turned out to be true as I discovered over the years.

Looking at this dream from a perspective eight years after the fact, I am grateful for the powerful connection I had with Robin very soon after his passing. You may find that if you share a spiritual connection with a deceased loved one, they may contact you within a very short time after their passing, even if you did not know them while they were alive. Some loved ones feel no need to wait and will contact you as soon as possible if they are able and you are open to it.

In Closing: Day of the Dead Celebrations

On October 31-November 2, I offered Robin and my ancestors food and drink offerings and prayers for Samhain/Day of the Dead. I have come up with my own version of a celebration, blending three cultures: Celtic for Robin, African for my ancestors and Mexican because I love and respect how this culture honors their deceased loved ones.

The green light is from a night light I keep at his altar which changes colors and gives a good artistic effect that I like.

I offered his spirit jasmine rice with a chick pea and spinach curry (he was a vegetarian), golden turmeric almond milk and a vegan shortbread cookie for desert. Everything was homemade by me.

I cook for my family almost everyday. My deceased loved ones, including Robin and my loving ancestors, are part of my family as well and I treat them as such. That is how I see them.

Years ago, I saw an interview with him and someone else saying they should get a curry together, but I can’t remember what video it was now. With that in mind, I made him this curry and I hoped he enjoyed it in spirit. This is the way I honor his existence and all he has taught me since 2012.

There are many ways to honor deceased loved ones during this period. You also do not have to wait for October 31st to give offerings to them. I do so all year around. Here are some websites that helped me arrange my celebration this year. You can apply these ideas to your relationship with your deceased loved one at any time:

Afterlife Dream Communication: A Spiritual Salve

I have had so many feelings circulating within me lately, it has been difficult to write here. There is so much pain and trauma in the world right now and as a Black woman, I have felt it acutely. I have had writer’s block and I didn’t quite know what to say here. So, I took a much needed break.

This post serves as my spiritual drain cleaner, getting the clog out, to help me get moving again. To begin doing that, I would like to pose these questions:

 What does afterlife communication with Robin have to do with a global pandemic that continues to worsen in many locations around the world, end lives, and disrupt the lives of many?

What does afterlife communication with Robin have to do with historical, systemic, racial trauma that keeps playing out like a broken record around the world?

It all comes down to being loved and supported by Robin’s spirit through afterlife communication during this time of very important social movements that I fully support and feel very encouraged by. I am not able to participate in the protests in my area due to Covid-19 concerns. Therefore, this post serves as my way of participating in the global protests. I have a lot to say.

While I participate in the protests in my own quiet way, I am deeply in need of the presence of my spiritual support team of which he is a part. Sometimes I can feel them holding my hand, guiding me and walking me through this planetary dark night of the soul. Having support from the other side is everything to me because it transcends the limitations of what people in physical bodies can do.

What Do Dreams Have To Do With It?

In April, during this pandemic, I had a dream about Robin. It was essentially about love and support. It was real and it was a visitation. It indicated to me that Robin’s presence is with me and that he does know what is going on here. Here is the dream:

 We are in my home. Robin is sitting down in a chair and I am there standing up right beside him where he is sitting. He looked like he did when he was in his 40’s with short hair which you can see here. He was not wearing glasses. He was wearing a black t-shirt and shorts. I’m not aware of any other people being around.

 

From where he was sitting, Robin looks up at me and says, “I love you very much.” I said, “I love you very much, too.”

Then he looked around the room, raised up his right arm gesturing and communicated to me telepathically, not in words, about all the things going on in the world. He was referring to the pandemic. He looked concerned.

 

I smiled at him gently and nodded, communicating, “Yes, I know.” In the dream, I was surprisingly peaceful and at ease as I stood next to Robin, looking at him. I was aware of the problems going on, but I did not feel concerned about them.

 

That was the end of the dream.

This dream means so much to me. To be completely honest, I didn’t want to share it at first. I wanted to keep it to myself as the precious and private gift that it is. I don’t share every single communication I receive from Robin because many of them are subtle, pertain very closely to my personal life, or are too complicated to explain. So, since I’m sharing it, it is for a good reason.

It illustrates my point about what afterlife communication with Robin has to do with all of the things going on. It’s about still being lovingly soul-connected to our deceased loved ones in the midst of all the pain, chaos, and trauma on earth. It has to do with the healing energy people on earth can still receive through afterlife communication if we are open to it.

Black Lives Matter

No matter what we go through here, they are around us whether we are aware of it or not. They are aware of what is happening here. I am convinced of that. I hope that around the world, deceased loved ones are able to break through the layer of stress surrounding the earth plane to reach their loved ones and deliver an uplifting message of spiritual love.

The love that I exchanged with Robin in my dream comes from knowing each other in the spirit world, long before we reconnected at the time of his death in 2012. It is our soul energy that is very familiar to each other. As I have mentioned before, in 2012, around the time of his death, I strongly intuited that Robin is a member of my soul family from the spirit world. The communications I have documented on this website bear witness to that connection. I know my connection with Robin’s soul did not begin in 2012. I was awakened to and reminded of our connection in 2012.

It’s God’s love, Robin’s love, and my ancestor’s strength and love that keep me going during these very difficult times. I admit things are wearing on me a bit, living in this world. It’s one thing after another. Maybe you feel the same way at times.

What Do Twin Souls Have To Do With It?

Over the years, I have often read in twin soul/flame literature that one of the purposes of the twin connection is to “raise the vibration” of humanity. But what does that mean in a practical sense? “Raising the vibration” implies evolving to a higher level spiritually as a society, as a world community. Higher levels of spirit always pertain to love in some way.

But, how can we “raise the vibration” of humanity when we can’t even evolve past our homicidal impulses, obsessions, and prejudices around skin color? This is complete body-consciousness at the basest level, with absolutely no consciousness of the divine soul light of a God-created human being.

The moment a human is born into this life, he or she is rank-ordered according to their skin color. People will deny this, but some things are true whether you believe it or not… or whether you want to believe it or not.

If you have a lighter skin tone, in most countries of this world, you get to be at the top. If you have dark skin like I do, you get relegated to the bottom. No amount of sending love and light, holding crystals (which I happen to love), prayers, chanting mantras, and sprinkling pixie dust on things has changed this painful fact of life…for centuries.

It is far more painful for some of us than others. People are protesting in the streets right now because innocent people have lost their lives due to this “rank-ordering” according to skin color.

But this false hierarchy is something humans have created. It is not of God and it is not of love. In God’s eyes, nobody is at the top and nobody is at the bottom, and certainly not because of skin color which the Divine created in the first place.

To illustrate this point, I have a story to share with you. Close to 30 years ago, I dated a man from Germany. He was an exchange student in the U.S. working on his medical degree. I was working on my doctoral degree in clinical psychology and we met in a class we mutually attended. He is white, so we were an interracial couple. I was always open to dating men from different backgrounds before I was married because there are wonderful men coming from all different types of backgrounds.

One evening, as he was driving us home from a date, he looked over at me and said, out of the blue, “You’re at the bottom of the totem pole.” I looked him dead in the eye and said, “I’m not at the bottom of anyone’s totem pole.” He became silent after that. The comment really hit a nerve in me.

That relationship didn’t work out. No surprise there. But, I remember his comment very well. This notion of Black people being at the bottom is very well embedded into the collective psyche of this world.

I was working on an advanced psychology degree when my ex-boyfriend made that comment. He still saw me as being at the bottom because of my skin color. Really? I remember feeling, “What exactly do I have to do to no longer be stuck at the bottom?”

This is what I do: I don’t accept the totem pole at all, and I certainly don’t accept being relegated to the bottom of it just because I’m Black. I don’t accept any Black or Brown person as being at the bottom of some stupid, illusory totem pole and I don’t care what we do for work.

“Raising the vibration” of humanity means dismantling the foolish, racist, sexist totem pole. You can do that by actively choosing to treat all people with dignity and respect, not as invisible or inferior, no matter what their race, gender, and ethnicity is.

The question is, does humanity really want to dismantle it? Because that means true equality for each human being. It means to stop automatically seeing Black and Brown people as inferior and at the “bottom” because of our skin color. It is wrong and we are not going to stand for it. We are spiritual beings too. God created us too.

When you see BIPOC (Black and Brown, Indigenous, People of Color) out protesting, this is one of many reasons why: we have had enough of being viewed and treated as belonging at the bottom due to some supposed inherent flaw in our nature. Black people get the death penalty for the most minor of crimes…or even no crime at all. This isn’t right.

Are you surprised that we would rise up and fight against this? You shouldn’t be. Contrary to popular belief, we are not “professional victims”. Look at the picture of Dr. King at the beginning of this post. We had to do it in 1963 and we still have to do it in 2020. Social change and growth is cyclical. It’s coming around again because it was never dealt with fully in the first place. Mr. George Floyd’s murder was the last straw. It opened the floodgates of repressed hurt, anger and trauma that has been building up for years.

In my opinion, you cannot talk about twin souls, rays, and flames “raising the vibration of humanity” unless you are willing to acknowledge and do something on a personal level to help eradicate “isms” and phobias: Racism, Islamophobia, sexism, ableism, ethnocentrism, homophobia, anti-Semitism, transphobia, and other spiritual and religious prejudices. There are always people who think that what they believe is better than other people’s faith. Some will even kill you because of this belief.

Saying “No More!”to these energies is part of raising the vibration of humanity whether you are aware of a twin soul connection or not. I feel like the clock has been ticking for a long time on these issues and time is up. We can’t eradicate all of this all at once, but we can chip away at it little by little.

Any twin flame authors that state that we can “raise the vibration” of humanity through unconditional love, without doing the hard work of rooting out the weeds of these pernicious “isms” and phobias are simply kidding themselves at this point and engaging in spiritual bypass. Humanity means just that: all of us, even those some consider undesirable, even those who are different from the people you are accustomed to.

Conclusion

This is all I can write for now. I’m going through my own process of healing a lifetime’s worth of racial trauma that I have not processed fully. The murders of African Americans in the U.S. stirred up a lot of pain within me. I have felt shell-shocked for several weeks now. It is disheartening that these events are occurring to such an extent that I felt the need to write about them here.

This post has served as a little bit of spiritual Drano, but unfortunately, there is still a lot of clog left that I have to deal with. Soul communication with Robin helps a lot though. All afterlife communication is soul communication.

I have written letters on behalf of Ms. Taylor, participated in virtual protests and donated money to help the cause of uplifting black lives. Still, I’m simply not at my best. I’m sure many of us are not. I hope you understand where I’m coming from. This year has just been a lot. I wish I could go back to June, 2019 for a moment to catch my breath. And I haven’t had it even half as bad as many people.

Just know that he’s around in a vibration of love and aware of what is going on. That is my personal experience with him as I shared with you. If he were still alive here in the physical world, I feel very confident that he would be making a musical contribution of some kind that affirms Black Lives Matter.

Addendum

On June 26th, the day after I wrote this post and submitted it for publishing, and less than 24 hours after doing so, I received an amazing synchronicity.

I checked my email that morning and noticed one from a website called Word Genius. I did not subscribe to receive emails from this website. I started receiving them out of the blue on June 24th.

The interesting thing is that the word for June 26, 2020 is totem! Here is the link with the definition and some historical information.

For me, it is very affirming to receive this synchronicity. It leads me to feel that I am on the right track writing about the totem pole issues for my own healing and to make a contribution. It also affirms again that Robin’s spirit is with me in all of this.

I have always been amazed by synchronicity that connects back to Robin’s spirit so directly and within such a short time frame. I personally feel that there are loving, Universal energies supporting my connection with Robin. The synchronicity makes me feel so close to his spirit and I’m so grateful for that. This spiritual closeness has wonderful, lasting benefits. That’s what afterlife communication has to do with it!

One of the best ways to tell whether you share a soul connection with someone is noticing the ways in which your life repeatedly matches up with theirs through synchronicity and life parallels. This is true whether they are embodied in the physical world or disembodied.

The synchronicity and parallels that have manifested in my life regarding Robin since his passing have been very enjoyable, comforting, and reassuring. But on a deeper level, they serve as confirmation that our energies are connected in a very mystical way. Perhaps you have noticed this in your own life with someone you are connected with.

Sharing a twin soul connection with someone in the afterlife that you never met in person is mysterious, challenging, and at times confusing. So, it helps greatly that I have been given messages over the years that unequivocally point directly to Robin.

I have to admit that I am still surprised and amazed by the mirror effect I share with his spirit. This is still going on after all these years. But in spirit, time is not a factor.

Overall, this connection with Robin is about spiritual growth and advancement for all parties involved, including my readers. It is about waking up to a larger reality beyond the seen physical world.

For me personally, this afterlife experience is a rigorous exercise in trusting in my own heart, intuition and the messages I have been given and not relying on answers, opinions, or validation from other people.

It is not only rigorous. It has been like going through spiritual boot camp. It is powerful training for learning to stand in my own truth regardless of how other people respond.

This is something we all have to learn at some point as we mature if we want to be true to ourselves and what is real in our lives. It builds spiritual strength to validate oneself, rather than looking to other people to validate your experiences. This is what I have discovered.

When it comes to this work, my loyalty is to God whom I serve, Robin’s spirit, and my own heart, not people on earth who dismiss spiritually transformative experiences and see them as invalid.

Afterlife Communication: Dream of Robin

Sometimes the afterlife communication messages I receive regarding Robin come in the form of dreams and synchronicity combined. This is what I will be writing about in this post.

Receiving synchronicity is like getting a letter in the mail. You can see it and hold it. But you won’t get the message unless you open the envelope.

Acknowledging, studying and writing about synchronicity is my way of opening the envelope and extracting all the beauty of the interconnectedness that I can.

Many years ago, I had a dream about Robin that has stuck with me to this day. On January 14, 2020, I lay in bed resting, thinking about this dream and whether I wanted to write about it or not for this blog. As you can see, I have decided to write about it and that is because I received a synchronicity related to it. Without the synchronicity, I probably would not be writing about this right now.

Here is the dream. It touches my heart deeply to write about it. I am writing about it from memory because I don’t know when this was and I can’t find it in my journals. After all of these years of afterlife communication, sometimes it’s hard to find the entries I wrote:

I am with my husband. We are standing at the trunk of our parked car, taking some things out.  I don’t know where this is, but the weather is nice.

 

I looked over to my right. Robin is standing there looking at me. (He looked like he did on the cover of “Size Isn’t Everything.” We did not say anything to each other. We just looked at each other. I can see his face very clearly.

 

There is a building there that he is standing in front of, but I’m not sure what it is. It is white and there are trees and plants around.

 

There is not much space between where we are parked and the building Robin is standing in front of.

 

Next, I turn around. I see Robin walking down a very wide street. It is tree-lined and paved.

 

It is completely unmarked, no lines like we usually see to guide traffic. There are no cars on this road and no sidewalks. There are just people and they are walking on this wide, straight, expansive road. Some are walking towards me, some are walking away from me. They seem far away but I can still see them…

 

I watch Robin walk off, away from me, by himself. It is a sunny, beautiful day. It’s hard to describe but the road was not like the ones we have on Earth. It was other-worldly and very real.

 

It seemed like he wanted me to watch him walk down the street and see what else was around him…like he wanted me to see where he was, what it was like and what he was doing.

 

Wherever and whatever this place was, it was nice, peaceful, sunny, with plenty of people around and beautiful trees.

 

The end.

I’m not saying that my dream is an exact representation of what it looks like in the spirit world where Robin is. I don’t know that for sure and I can’t prove it or verify it.

I am saying that this was a very personal dream for me that leaves me wondering what and where this place was. It felt very real and vivid, to the point I can remember it exactly many years later.

Not all of the dreams I have in general, or about Robin, have this quality I’m trying to describe. But if you have had dreams of loved ones who have passed away, maybe you know what I’m talking about. There is something different about these types of dreams. They are more real and in my case, I felt like I was with Robin for a short time. It may be better to call it a visitation dream.

Synchronicity: Wide, Tree-lined Streets

After I thought about this dream privately while I was waking up, I spoke with my husband about traveling to Mexico. We are interested in going to Mexico City and this is why we have been taking Spanish classes. Specifically, we are interested in La Condesa, a trendy neighborhood there.

For the first time, I decided to do an internet search on it. I picked up my tablet and googled it.  I found this great article on La Condesa which you can see below. Maybe someone reading this has been there or lives there :).

As I scrolled down, I noticed a section in the article on “tree-lined streets”. I was so surprised when I read what the author (Victoria) said about the neighborhood. It mirrored exactly what I had been thinking about in terms of my dream of Robin. The bold is mine for emphasis:

“One of the appeals of Condesa is simply the beauty of it’s streets. It’s made up of lots of charming, wide avenues, with trees that form a canopy above.”

It is so interesting that key elements of my dream about Robin mirrored aspects of this article mentioning tree-lined streets. Many times, I receive synchronicity related to things I read or say. But this time, it was just my private thoughts of Robin connecting and synchronizing with my everyday life. I was meditatively absorbed in my thoughts of this dream prior to reading this article. The synchronicity with the article occurred within a very short time frame after my thinking about the dream.

Recently, I experienced another travel-related synchronicity. This was a message related to traveling to the U.K. So, I definitely see a pattern! His spirit is connected to my travel plans and dreams!

This is also the second time recently that a dream I had about Robin years ago mirrored something very specific in what I was reading currently, which you can read about here.

From my point of view, synchronicity, connected to my dreams about Robin, gives additional confirmation that the dreams are actual afterlife communications. The synchronicity supports and gives additional significance and importance to the dreams.

After Death Communication: Synchronicity Review

Synchronicity seems to be the easiest way for Robin’s spirit to communicate. This is a good idea for long-term afterlife communication. He can’t be coming over here to move objects all the time!

I would say that the vast majority of afterlife communication with Robin since 2012 has been through precise synchronicity. As reported on this website, I have had many dreams, some telekinesis and some electrical activity.

But most of the communications come in the form of quiet, gentle, synchronized life events that connect back to him.

Synchronicity is a wonderful, safe, non-threatening yet awe-inspiring way of keeping in touch with and staying connected to loved ones in spirit. It gives me the feeling that his spirit is with me through my daily activities. By sharing this perspective, I am doing my best to demystify afterlife communication.

It is amazing to me how something to do with the spirit of a deceased loved one can synchronize with the most minute detail of the life of a loved one on earth.

I write about how the small, everyday details of my life often mirror something to do with Robin. However, small does not mean insignificant. The small details are very significant, especially since they get my attention. Who knows what it takes for the unseen forces of love in our lives to get all of these circumstances to align? It may be more complex than we know. So, I honor this process.

Afterlife communication with Robin has given me a deeper appreciation of and respect for the quiet and the subtle. Synchronicity based in love, kindness and truth is very life-enhancing.

Synchronicity and Quantum Entanglement

I know I have written about this topic before here, but I thought I would revisit it for a moment with some additional thoughts.

I really wonder what is going on at the unseen spiritual level in terms of twin souls and synchronicity. My perspective is that, at its core, the twin soul connection is about souls that have nearly identical hues of light, color, vibration and frequency at the spiritual level. It is something most people cannot see with the naked eye. Members of the same soul group would also share a light frequency, color and vibration that are very similar.

I hypothesize that this invisible connection and energetic entanglement between twin souls shows up in synchronistic and parallel life events. I cannot prove it as a fact scientifically. But, it seems to me like there is something to this in terms of how connections we share with others in an unseen realm manifest in the physical, seen world. I don’t think there is anything wrong with seeing this as a possibility.

In the excellent article, Practical Symbolism of Quantum Physics and Relativity, Nebo Lukovich writes about quantum entanglement in a way that can be applied to human relationships and twin souls. I really love how he wrote this article and I invite you to check it out. Here are some quotes I would like to share:

“…In ancient times, our souls were often born with their twin counterparts (as within the binary star systems). In most of these cases, our so-called twin-flames (or soul mates) are very different from us, yet are we linked by destiny…”

 

“…The experimental data involved separating two photons from one another—both of which came from the same parent group of particles, originally—and stimulating only one of them to watch what reaction came from the other. Surprisingly, the unstimulated photon would mimic the actions of its partner, maintaining an identical quantum state… as though they’d never been separated at all…”

In this example, the two particles could symbolize twin souls and the parent group of particles could represent the larger soul family they come from.

I think it is fascinating to ponder that two human beings born at different times on earth, in completely different locations, from different ethnic backgrounds, even speaking different languages, could come from the same soul group in the spirit world and mimic each other throughout their lives on earth without either one knowing about it.

When twin souls do come to know about the connection, and can actively experience it so it can be enjoyed and celebrated, it is a miracle.

For me, unexpectedly meeting my twin soul via an afterlife connection has been like finding a needle in a gigantic cosmic haystack. I’m glad I did not know about twin souls until after Robin’s passing. Because if I had been looking for my twin soul on earth, I never would have found him. That’s how it works sometimes.

In my case, I feel it is good that we met again the way we did so we can share this work. It is also excellent training for not being dependent on or attached to his physical vehicle. It builds spiritual muscle to have to go beyond the physical to communicate on the spiritual level. It takes focus, dedication, commitment and love to tune into Robin’s deeper nature as a soul.

You never know who is going to come knocking on your door from the spirit world. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. Perhaps it already has, for someone reading this!

The example I gave today, of how my dream of Robin walking down a wide, tree-lined street mirrored the article about La Condesa that I was drawn to, is one that reminds me of quantum entanglement at an unseen level.

What makes me say this? The large numbers of synchronicity and other forms of communications I have experienced pertaining to him since 2012. First, the beautiful, tree-lined streets were associated with Robin in my dream. Then, I get them a few moments later.

I’m open to other interpretations or explanations that can account for the communications I have written about on this website. I am always reading and doing research. But quantum entanglement is one of the more interesting possibilities and one I strongly resonate with.

To me quatum entanglement symbolizes the scripture “I will never leave you, nor forsake you,” at the spiritual level even when we are separated physically or in different planes of existence. This is because our loving mirrored energies are still connected.
