Afterlife Dreams: I Can Hear You

I have been having so much fun writing about my experiences with Robin because of whom he is now as a spirit.

You can’t keep a good man down, even after he’s passed away. The death of his physical body did not end Robin’s existence. He has carried on being beautiful, amazing and creative just as he was when embodied. He still has so much to teach us. While we are learning, we can enjoy his music!

In some of my recent posts, I have mentioned that I have been looking in my journals for an entry on a dream I had about Robin. I cannot find the entry at this time, but I remember the dream by heart. I don’t remember exactly what year and month it took place, but I guess it really doesn’t matter too much. I know it occurred quite a while ago. The dream was brief but very powerful. I would like to share it with you now from memory.

Dream Communication

One day years ago, I was tired and needed an afternoon nap. At this point in my relationship with Robin, I was talking with him on a regular basis. So, as I lay down in bed to go to sleep, I told him that I was tired. I feel asleep. Then my dream occurred:

I saw Robin sitting at a long table. There was a woman sitting to his right. I do not know who she is. He looked like he did when he was in his 30’s, with short blond hair. (Similar to how he looks here).

 

Robin spoke to the woman and said, “She’s tired.” He was talking about me.

 

I was not in the dream, but looking at the two of them from the perspective of standing in front of them.

That was the end of the dream.

Even though it was brief, it had a very strong impact on me. I was stunned because Robin was making it clear to me that he telepathically heard what I said to him before I fell asleep. He repeated back to me what I had said to him. I was amazed. He not only heard me…he let me know that he had heard me.

It is visitation dreams like this which led me to develop a very close connection with Robin over time. How could I not feel a deep connection with him? He was opening up a whole new world to me that I had never experienced before. I had never communicated so directly with someone in the afterlife.

Beginning in 2012, I had incredible dreams about and synchronicity concerning Robin, but only after his death. It would be natural for anyone in my position to start asking some serious questions about what was going on.  I was amazed that I could reach him and that he would actually respond back to me, especially in this manner, through dreams.

So, given that he responded to me in such a direct manner, it led me to start asking questions and making statements, such as:

  • “How is it that you can hear me?”
  • “What is the mechanism by which you can hear me?”
  • “I know you’re energy light, but how can energy light hear without human ears?”
  • “You are more than energy light. You are intelligent energy light with the ability to comprehend what is being said.”

I did some research on this and would like to share a short literature review now that may shed some light on these questions.

How Can Deceased Loved Ones Hear Us? A Brief Literature Review

Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda

Those of you aligned with a yogic science perspective may enjoy this first possible explanation.

The first source I would like to share is Autobiography of a Yogi. In Chapter 43, The Resurrection of Sri Yukteswar, there is a discussion of the senses that loved ones in the astral world still experience. Here is an excerpt. The emphasis in bold is mine:

“The astral body is an exact counterpart of the last physical form. Astral beings retain the same appearance which they possessed in youth in their previous earthly sojourn; occasionally an astral being chooses, like myself, to retain his old age appearance.” Master, emanating the very essence of youth, chuckled merrily. (1)

 

“Unlike the spacial, three-dimensional physical world cognized only by the five senses, the astral spheres are visible to the all-inclusive sixth sense-intuition,” Sri Yukteswar went on. “By sheer intuitional feeling, all astral beings see, hear, smell, taste, and touch… (1)

 

…Astral beings have all the outer sensory organs-ears, eyes, nose, tongue, and skin-but they employ the intuitional sense to experience sensations through any part of the body; they can see through the ear, or nose, or skin. They are able to hear through the eyes or tongue, and can taste through the ears or skin, and so forth.4 (1)

I think this is fascinating. What I take away from this is that hearing, for a person in spirit, is very much an intuitive function. It seems that the intuitive abilities we have while alive in the physical greatly expand after our passing.

According to Paramahansa Yogananda, intuition is of the soul, not of the mind. After we pass away, we cannot use our human brain and senses anymore. But that is where our spiritual intuition takes over in greater measure to help us perceive in a completely different way through our deeper feeling nature:

Intuition is that directly perceiving faculty of the soul which at once knows the truth about something, without the help of the senses or the mind.

I also think this quote below answers very well why we can still hear after we pass away. We are not our bodies, but divine consciousness. I hypothesize that it is through this consciousness that we can see and hear our loved ones on Earth after we pass away:

“I am not the breath; I am not the body, neither bones nor flesh. I am not the mind or feeling. I am That which is behind the breath, body, mind, and feeling.” When you go beyond the consciousness of this world, knowing that you are not the body or the mind, and yet aware as never before that you exist — that divine consciousness is what you are. You are That in which is rooted everything in the universe.

Tibetan Buddhist Perspective

According to The Venerable Thubten Chodron of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, after the physical body of a person dies, the person enters into a bardo state. This is a half-way point or stage in which, as I understand it, you are a bardo being and in-between lives or incarnations.

Furthermore, according to this tradition, bardo beings are clairvoyant and can read living people’s minds as explained in The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche:

Remember, the clairvoyant consciousness of the person in the bardo of becoming is seven times clearer than in life. This can bring them either great suffering or great benefit. (2)

I would also like to quote The Venerable Thubten Chodron, who adds an important piece to this discussion:

The bardo being may come around and go back to their house, or go back to where they were. But bardo beings can’t communicate with people. They try to, and they get really frustrated, because nobody listens. They have clairvoyance and they can read the people’s minds. Sometimes what they see is not so nice and they get really horrified by it. Which is why after somebody dies, it’s important to keep a good attitude. (3)

I like this quote for the information it is imparting to us. Many of our deceased loved ones are trying to reach us, but they find that some of us don’t listen. It could also be that loved ones on Earth do not know how to interpret the messages they are being given.

Or, they may be frightened by the messages. Even though it’s beautiful, afterlife communication is a lot to get used to especially when it comes to methods of contact like telekinesis for example.

Through my writing, I am showing Robin that I am listening and paying attention. I know he knows that, but I want to say this here. It’s important to let your loved ones in spirit know that you get it, that you care, love them, and believe in them. We have to remember that where they are, we will be someday.

Through this website, I hope to encourage others to listen to their loved ones in spirit and to learn their language. Their language includes things I have been writing about on this website, such as dreams, synchronicity and telekinesis. The abilities of our deceased loved ones to perceive and comprehend what we are saying and doing may be much stronger and greater than we realize at times.

It may be that deceased loved ones can “hear” people who are alive in physical bodies by virtue of reading our minds. Perhaps Robin knew I was tired because he was close by and reading my mind which I expressed out loud though my words. To me, it seemed like he heard me, and maybe he did through the channels mentioned by Paramahansa Yogananda. He could have also been reading my mind with his clairvoyant abilities. It’s definitely something to think about!

Near-Death Experience Research

Due to advances in medical science, we are in a time when experiences of people dying and then coming back to life are well-documented. The Near-Death Experience (NDE) literature can give us incredible clues about how our deceased loved ones can still hear us.

In the book, Lesson from the Light by Kenneth Ring, a woman named Peggy shares a spiritual experience she had many years after suffering a serious head injury due to a car accident. According to Dr. Ring, this experience appears to be a partial memory of a NDE that she had previously been unaware of. The memory was triggered 13 years later as a result of her being in situations that were similar to those that occurred on the day of her accident.

I would like to share this brief excerpt of her experience which I feel is extremely relevant to our current discussion:

In this place, whatever it is, I did not have the limited consciousness I have on earth. It felt like I had 125 senses to our normal five. You could do, think, comprehend, and so on, you name it, with no effort at all…(4)

This perspective seems to align with the one mentioned above in Autobiography of a Yogi. After we pass away, we are not limited to five senses. The awareness of this can occur during a NDE. We are very fortunate that there are people who come back to life and are willing to share their stories that contribute to our knowledge of what our abilities are after death.

It seems to me that out of 125 senses, at least one of those would enable a deceased loved one to be able to hear us when we speak to them. And not just hear us, but respond back to us intelligently as Robin has done over the years since his passing. The response back can be telepathically in the dream visitation state, through synchronicity or other creative ways a loved one might come up with. The response will be well-suited to the person they want to reach on Earth.

Additional evidence that people can hear conversations after being pronounced dead can be found here in this article. People have shared their stories of being able to hear after coming back to life in the physical body.

This article reviews biological explanations that could account for a person’s ability to hear conversations right around the time of death. But it does not address how spirits like Robin and his twin brother Maurice can still hear and communicate many years after their death, long after there is no longer any brain activity.

Maurice passed away in 2003. Nine years later in 2012, he let me know he was well aware of what I asked Robin for in terms of a sign. (Please see this post for more information).

Conclusion

For me, what it comes down to is that we are not the wonderful bodies we use as vehicles. We are eternal souls, eternal beings of light that we cannot fully comprehend while in physical bodies.

As spirits or divine beings of light, we live on after the death of our body. We have incredible abilities including clairvoyance and the ability to comprehend what someone in a different dimension is saying.

We potentially have the ability to move objects in the physical world to get a loved one’s attention. We can synchronize with people on earth that we care about and we can show up in their dreams.

This is what Robin is teaching us and I’m so grateful to be able to share this with you.

Since Robin was a very gifted singer, songwriter and composer, most people might not think of him as a spiritual teacher and guide. However, that is exactly what he is now and he showed signs of being a spiritual teacher while embodied. (See his meditation video here).

This website could easily be called, Paisley and Poppies: The Afterlife Teachings of Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees. I directly ask Robin to share his teachings with me.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Songs and License Plates

Songs and License Plates

I have previously written about how my afterlife communication with Robin includes messages I receive on license plates.

It’s one of the more fun ways we communicate. I know lots of other people communicate in this way with their deceased loved ones. It reminds us that our loved ones are with us while we carry out our daily activities.

This post focuses on how I have seen Bee Gees’ song titles on license plates.

Staying Alive

On May 11, 2019, while I was driving home with my husband, I saw a car with a license plate that read STN ALIV. You can’t get much more Bee Gees than that! Stayin’ Alive is one of their most famous songs.

This article that I linked to is really good and I highly recommend it for some interesting history on this song and other Bee Gees’ songs.

My phone rings to this song as I mentioned before here, so it’s with me all of the time.

It was such a sweet gift. I’m always amazed at how Spirit places me at the right place at the right time to receive these messages. I know Robin was showing me he was with me in that moment. I always invite him to communicate with me and on this day, this is how he chose to do it. I thank Robin and Maurice for showing up in my life this way through God’s orchestration. It’s true that they are staying alive spiritually!

Since I saw this plate nine days before Robin’s passing date anniversary, I feel it is a very special message. I was able to take a picture of the plate because the car was directly in front of us. In other words, it was right in my face (and Julian’s)! As Robin once said about Americans:

They like to have things put smack bang in their faces.” (1)

I thought that was funny! Well, when it comes to afterlife communication with you Robin, yes, I do want things smack bang in my face, lol! Thank you very much!

I printed it and placed the framed picture on his altar to celebrate this amazing connection of our spirits. (I don’t want to put the picture here due to protecting the identity of the driver).

Altars are great places to recognize and honor the gifts we receive from our deceased loved ones. By including current spiritual gifts from loved ones on their altar, it keeps the energy of the altar fresh and active. It shows our loved one we are actively engaged with communicating with them. It also shows appreciation and a commitment to them that we care about them. With modern technology, it’s so great that we can capture signs from loved ones and treasure them as keepsakes.

It’s very important to me that I show appreciation for these spiritual signs of Robin’s presence. I want him to know they mean so much to me. I appreciate all the powers and forces of love that placed me there at that moment so my path could cross with this driver.

Hold Me

A few years ago, there was another time when a Bee Gees song showed up on a license plate, but I didn’t know it was a Bee Gees’ song at the time. I saw a plate that said, HOLD ME. All I could think of was the Fleetwood Mac song. But then I decided to do some research and see if the Bee Gees had a song with the same title. It turns out they do. This demo for Kenny Rogers is one of most hauntingly beautiful songs I have ever heard Barry Gibb sing.

Hold Me was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb.

It’s not always the most famous songs that have the greatest impact. This song gives me the chills and brings tears with the feeling it evokes. Here are the beautiful lyrics.

Twin Soul Questions

One of the greatest sore spots for me in my relationship with Robin is that I never got to meet him in person. His physical body is gone forever and I never got to see him or hold him.

Many people want to meet their twin soul, but twin soul relationships come with very challenging lessons. They are not all chocolates, wines and roses and they are not meant to be. They are meant to help us grow spiritually and that’s not always going to be easy.

My lesson is that if I want to commune with Robin, I have to go beyond the physical. I have to stretch. There’s no physical body to hold.

But I can reach his spirit. And he can reach mine. It has already been accomplished.

There are some important questions a person could ask oneself when considering this topic of twin souls residing in different planes of existence. I have asked myself these very questions and thought I would pose them here. It’s not meant to be a comprehensive list. It’s just some questions I thought of:

  • Would you still want to meet your twin soul in spirit form if they were deceased? Or would you rather not know and just wait until you cross over to meet?
  • Are you willing to go beyond the physical to be with them, to communicate with them?
  • Are you willing to have very few people understand you and maybe even think you’re crazy?
  • Are you able to sustain a potentially long-term, cross-dimensional twin soul relationship?
  • Are you willing to feel some pain at times and overcome it? Some degree of pain and grief is likely in this situation. No matter how many good and logical explanations there are for this, even if it was supposed to be this way because we were meant to go our separate ways and have different experiences…it can still hurt at times when you find out who your twin is after they die physically. It’s sad that you missed them.

Since I know I share a twin soul connection with Robin, the answer is yes to these questions. Yes, I did want to know. I was the one calling for him in the first place when I woke up in 2012.

If your answers are “no” or a combination of “yes and no”, that is ok too. There is no right or wrong with this; it’s about how you authentically feel. If you don’t want to have this type of twin soul relationship, that is perfectly understandable. If your answers are “yes,” then your twin in spirit will likely do things to encourage the connection and help you along. I consider seeing a license plate that says, STN ALIV a form of encouragement! It’s really fun and cool too!

Compensation

I once asked God if there was any compensation for not having met Robin. The answer is yes.

There is merciful compensation, which serves as consolation, for not having met. It comes in the form of all the communications I have received. God responded in my heart with the following message:

“Your compensation for not having met Robin is all of the messages, the synchronicities, the direct answers to your questions, the telekinesis, the license plates, the times your husband delivered a message. Your compensation is that you have strong intuition, a faith-based belief in the afterlife, and some developed psychic abilities which enable you to communicate with him.”

 

“Your compensation is your ability to write and document these experiences so you can refer back to them for your edification. Your compensation is your ability to read about him and hear him sing because you have been blessed with eyesight and excellent hearing. What if you didn’t have that?”

“Christina, you have been very well compensated.”

I agree that all of this is compensation. I am very grateful for God’s mercy in this situation with Robin.

I’m also grateful for quotes like this one that get me back on track when I need a little boost. It is from a book called, Letters from the Spirit World (2). This book is available as a free e-book if you are interested. Click here for the free e-book made available on google.com. At this link, you can also see the excerpt I am referring to on page 314.

I like spiritualist writing from the early 1900’s. Our understanding of soul mates and twin souls may have changed and evolved quite a bit since then, but I still think these writers have valuable things to say. When I read this passage pertaining to the law of soul mates, I am immediately uplifted as I am reminded of the immortality of our souls:

“The law of soul mates does not pertain to the earth at all. It does not matter whether they ever meet on earth or not…”

“— and whether they meet or not is unimportant considering the eons of ages of immortality and eternity…”

Considering that we have all of eternity to connect, not meeting in one lifetime is not a big deal, even though it may hurt at the time. I hope this is comforting to others who did not meet their twin soul mate in this lifetime. I think this is important to know given that many twin souls and spiritual soul mates do not meet. Remember that we are eternal. You will see them again.

This remembrance serves as additional compensation. I need this for my own healing.

The compensation also comes in the form of dream visitations.

Dream Hugs

I have had several dream visits over the years where I have held Robin. I have had two recent dreams, one April 20th and one April 25th.

In the dream on April 20th, he was young, in his late 20’s with long, wavy hair. We hugged and he felt skinny, like he would have if we hugged in the physical because he was thin. The thing is, I could really feel his body. That was beautiful and comforting compensation.

In this dream, he let me play with his hair. I made little curls with my fingers and the curls stayed in place. I don’t think he wanted me to, but he let me anyway, lol!

So, when I read this line from Hold Me:

You can play in my dreams till I’m out of your sight…

I feel it really came true.

On May 12, I wrote this note to Robin in my journal:

“I can still feel you in my dreams when we hug, so the physical sensations, while in non-physical form, carry over. Physical sensations carry over after death and can manifest in dream communication. The dreamer can still feel the deceased loved one physically.”

Through my intuition, I could feel Robin saying to me:

“Christina, that part of me, the part of me where you can feel me as physical sensation is not gone.”

Physical sensation, or the impression of such, still seems to be part of who we are after we pass away. It’s a beautiful discovery.

In the dream visit I shared with Robin on April 25th, he was singing with a crowd close by, off to his right. Then I spoke with him afterward. At this point, the dream image shifted and we were standing in a room in my current house. He looked like he did when he was in his 30’s with blond hair, similar to the picture here in the upper left corner.

We hugged and I said to him that he did a great job. It was a brief encounter but felt very real, like I was there with him.

We can still hug and hold each other during dream visits. Robin co-wrote Hold Me, so along with his brothers, these lyrics came from his soul. Due to the amazing way in which God created us as spirits, and because of the love we share, I can say, “Yes, I will hold you…in my dreams.”

When it comes to afterlife communication with Robin, I don’t always know exactly what’s going on. Most of the time, the messages are clear to me. But on other occasions, there is a bit of mystery at play, which I also enjoy.

Who says everything always has to be 100% clear cut? How can it be when you consider we are communicating across different planes of existence?

Even if I’m not always completely sure what’s going on, I still believe the stories are worth sharing with you because that is the way life is sometimes: not always clear. When things aren’t clear with afterlife communication, it leads me down a different path in my thinking, pondering the various fascinating possibilities.

If we’re honest, most of us engaging in afterlife communication with loved ones in spirit have situations arise that leave us scratching our head.

Now I will present to you one of those situations for me.

Playing Catch Dream

During the early morning hours of Monday, December 10, 2018, I dreamed that I was playing catch with someone. I don’t know who he was. He was young, perhaps in his 20’s. We were sitting on the floor playing catch. The ball was a soft plush ball and we were tossing it back and forth. It was something like this, usually used as a dog toy.

Then, the guy in the dream wanted to switch balls and use a softball. I said to him not to toss it too hard. But basically, he wanted to play catch with two ‘soft’ balls.

I like the symbolism of softness.

That was the end of the dream.

At lunch that day, I spoke with Robin about how I had this dream about playing catch out of the blue with someone I did not know. I spoke with him about this while sitting alone at his altar space. I said to him that I did not think it was him and I couldn’t recognize the person.

I mentioned it to Robin because it was unusual. I don’t play catch or think about playing catch, not that there’s anything wrong with it. I don’t have kids in my life to play catch with or a dog so where this dream came from, I don’t know.

During the next day, December 11th, I went shopping with Julian to a local big-box store. We were looking for the shortest line for the cashier. I was in one line and then Julian went walking over to the next registers to see if any were shorter.

When I looked over to him, he was standing there smiling, holding a rubber ball that was a little smaller than the size of a basketball. He told me the line over where he was, was shorter. I walked over and stood behind him.

He held the ball in his hand and said, “Do you want to play catch?”

I was pretty much waiting for him to say that. It all seemed so strange since I had just had the dream about playing catch the night before. I said yes and we stood there playing catch for a few moments while waiting in line. The kids in line behind us joined in for a little while. It was fun.

Julian did not know I had this dream about playing catch. I told him about it after our shopping trip was over. I thought it was a psychic connection with him.

We are not in the habit of playing catch at checkout lines! In the 20+ years I’ve known Julian, I don’t ever remember him doing that.

I told Robin about the dream, as I mentioned. But I’m not sure if he had anything to do with this game of catch or not, “channeling” through Julian. As I mentioned in other posts, Robin does communicate with me through him.

But this time, I could not detect whether it was Robin for sure. Still, I was suspicious and I still am.

Was he blending with Julian because I had told him the day before about the dream, and wanting to play catch as a way of communicating back to me? Was it a psychic connection between Julian and me? Or was it a combination of these 2 scenarios?

Sometimes with afterlife communication, you don’t know for sure what is going on.

Behavior of Twins in Spirit

This definitely got me thinking though because, according to Sal Rachele in his book Soul Integration, it is possible for twin souls in higher planes to have some of their energy in souls on earth.

Here is a brief excerpt from Soul Integration, explaining the point I am making:

“…oftentimes twin flame counterparts in the higher realms will “channel” through a number of different souls on Earth, and therefore, have some of their energy embedded into those various Earth-bound souls…” (Chapter 2- Soul Mates and Twin Flames, pg. 87).

“…Of course, the next best thing to meeting your twin flame would be talking to him or her through another human being who is acting as a channel or vehicle…” (pg. 87).

Talking to him or playing catch with him through another human being who just happens to be my husband. That’s pretty wild isn’t it!

This aligns with the information I previously shared with you, by author James Judd, in my post called Close to You.

Judd explained that a spouse can serve as a channel between a twin pair when one is in spirit and one is incarnate.

After what I have witnessed over the years, some of which I have shared with you on this website, I can confidently say that my husband often acts as a channel, messenger, or a vehicle for Robin. I think it is possible that was happening in this case of playing catch. Robin is quite capable of doing this.

Afterlife CommunicationsI don’t think it’s only Julian that Robin channels through, though. He connects with other people who are around me. For example, I wrote to you about the cashier who put his hand up to his ear on the same day I read about how Robin used to do that. I feel like that was Robin’s spirit coming through, unbeknownst to the cashier carrying on the jovial conversation with me. (See  blog post Maying in December for more information about this occurrence).

What I know for sure is my spirit was connected to both Julian and Robin through this event because I shared it with both of them. My soul was strongly connected with Julian by virtue of playing catch a day after I spoke with Robin about this dream. Maybe it’s that we needed a childlike sense of fun. We bought the ball because I wanted a keepsake of this beautiful, mysterious and unique occurrence.

Premonition Dreams

I have had a few other dreams in the past that came true in my everyday life, but it is not very often.

For example, during the summer of 2017, I had a dream about being at the eye doctor’s. I was sitting in the chair for an eye exam. The doctor looked at me and said “eye surgery.” That was the end of the dream.

At that time, I had been having no problems with my eyes whatsoever.

A few weeks after that however, I had a posterior vitreous detachment which means you develop flashes and floaters. This happened with my eyes out of the blue.

Other than that, I still had normal vision. It’s something that happens as you get older. I was very frightened at the time because I had never had anything like this happen before and never had problems with my eyesight. I didn’t know what was going on with my eyes.

I ended up going to see an ophthalmologist, which is an eye surgeon. But I did not need eye surgery. Other than this, I have very healthy eyes and over time, the flashes and floaters calmed down on their own. This is the typical result of a PVD.

Perhaps these dreams come from my soul, guardian angels, and spirit, letting me know in advance what is going to happen in a small, select number of cases. When I had these dreams, I had no idea they would come true in real life. Some may call them premonition dreams.

They seem to originate from the soul’s own inner wisdom and knowledge.

I think a lot of us are discounted and discredited to the point that we may believe that we don’t have this inner knowledge about ourselves. But we do. This knowledge may show up in your dreams or in other ways.

Connections with loved ones, incarnate and discarnate, may show up as well!

Perhaps over time, it will become even more clear to me, what was going on that day we played catch in the store.

Will You Wait for Me?

Writing for Paisley and Poppies is my solace. It is a process of healing, learning and discovery. I love how the events of life mysteriously unfold, blossom and give me the inspiration for each post.

My Dream

For this post, I would like to share something from my past.

During the fall of 2012, I had another important dream about Robin. I would like to describe this to you now:

I was in a public bathroom. Robin was in there with me. No one else was around. He looked young, like he was in his late teens. He was wearing a suit and tie.

 

Robin came out of the bathroom stall and started to walk out of the bathroom. As he was leaving, I said to him, “Robin?” He turned around and looked at me without speaking. I asked him, “Will you wait for me?”

 

He didn’t say anything, but turned to leave and walk outside of the bathroom. Then, I went into a stall, did what I needed to do, and then walked outside of the bathroom.

 

When I walked outside of the bathroom, Robin was sitting at a table to the left of the door waiting for me. The table was right outside of the bathroom. He looked up at me.

That was the end of the dream.

I had this dream several months after Robin’s death. At that time, I still didn’t quite know what was going on between us spiritually.

I loved him as a member of my soul family as I have previously written about.

By this time, I had already been experiencing strong synchronicity and had other visitation dreams about him and Maurice.

But, I was still puzzled about why I would be asking him to wait for me. At that point, I was asking myself questions like, “Why would I ask him to wait for me when we didn’t even know each other.” I still didn’t get it.  And, I was even more puzzled and confused about why I dreamt about us being in a public bathroom together.

One Million Years

A few weeks after my dream, in October, 2012, I received a Google alert for some of Robin’s music. The alert was sharing a YouTube video for his song, One Million Years. At that time, I had never heard of this song.

I had been busy at the time I got this Google alert and did not listen to it right away. I may have had this video in my inbox for a couple of weeks before I got to it.

When I finally listened to it, I received the shock of my life. I can still remember it to this day. The opening lyrics to the song are, “I’m dead…”

That hit me like a ton of bricks. The first time I heard that song was after Robin’s death.

Then, I heard the chorus, “I will wait for you…”

I was blown away and shocked because the lyrics reminded me of my dream of him a few weeks earlier, where I asked him if he would wait for me. I felt a powerful, personal message and afterlife communication with Robin from this song. I felt like he was answering my question in one of the most poignant and beautiful ways: through one of his songs.

I know he is waiting for me. It’s one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given. At the time I had this dream, my mind didn’t understand it. But my soul understood and knew who he is to me. This dream came from my soul.

In the dream, I wasn’t asking about whether he would wait for me to come out of the bathroom, even though he did. It goes much deeper than that.

I was asking if he would wait for me while he’s in the spirit world. I was asking if he would wait for me and be there for me after I pass away. That is the real message and meaning of the dream.

I offer this quote from the book, Spirit Mates: Their Origin and Destiny; Sex-life, Marriage, Divorce, Oct 31, 2013 by James Martin Peebles to express how I truly feel about this connection with Robin’s spirit. I appreciate how Peebles is able to express this sentiment so precisely:

“So far as my knowledge extends, a belief in a future life, and a belief that the spirit mate awaits the coming of the counterpart, has produced the most salutary and exalted influences upon the mortal…” (1)

It is extremely comforting for me to know that life continues after death and that Robin is waiting. Through my experiences with Robin, I have also come to realize that I have others from my ancestral line and soul family waiting for me as well. I did not have this certainty and knowledge before Robin’s death. Being with Robin has helped me realize I have these other connections as well.

It has been incredibly beneficial for me to know this, especially when I experience difficulties connecting with people here in the physical world. I’m not solely dependent upon people in physical bodies. I have other loved ones in the Unseen too, and I know that they are here for me. They will be there for me when my time of passing comes.

Robin’s Dream Appearance

I would now like to mention another important detail about my dream of Robin.

In my dream, Robin looked just like he did in the One Million Years video.

I did not see this video before my dream, only after my dream. This is another amazing synchronicity about this dream. To me, it was meant to go together with his song. It was divinely timed so the dream and the song would occur within a close time frame of each other.

You also have to remember that in 2012, I was still just getting to know him because I had never followed him and knew nothing about him. Everything was new to me, including what he looked like throughout his lifespan.

Many things came as a surprise to me at that time because I was receiving afterlife communication at the same time I was learning about Robin and who he was as a person.

The synchronicity of my dream occurring in close proximity to the time I saw this video for the first time had an extremely strong impact on me. The impact still reverberates across time and affects me greatly to this day.  One Million Years is haunting enough on its’ own. Combined with the dream, it was really quite powerful.

Why the Bathroom?

Another thing that puzzled me about this dream was the fact that we were in a public bathroom together. Why the bathroom? I thought it was so weird that I would dream about that. That was until a few years later when I finally got the answer.

According to my source, the Bee Gees liked singing in bathrooms due to the strong echo effect:

“We used to look for public conveniences,” Robin added.

 

“We used to love singing in the toilets.”

 

“We used to go down to Lewis’ Department Store and sing in the gents’ toilet because of the echo,” Barry said.

 

“You couldn’t get echo anywhere else in your voice, and that was the place that was our favourite spot.” (2)

After I read this, I was convinced that this was why I dreamed about being in the public bathroom with Robin. That’s where he used to like to sing! I didn’t know that in 2012, so I was completely perplexed, and a little embarrassed, to be dreaming about being in the bathroom with him.

I feel like I had connected with him telepathically on some level so that this information about bathrooms appeared in my dream state.

Loved Ones Waiting

Chicago Tribune reporter Barbara Brotman wrote about an experienced hospice nurse named Maggie Callanan. Nurse Callanan reported her experiences with patients who were close to death.  The article is called Striking Similarity of Dying Words, June 19, 2013.

Ms. Callanan reported that if patients were still able to speak as they got closer to death, they reported nearly the same events. They reported that they could see loved ones that died before them and that their loved ones were waiting for them.

What do you believe? What have your experiences been?

I firmly believe that those we loved and knew, as well as those we don’t know or remember, are lovingly waiting for us. And while they are waiting for us, some are able to interact with us in the physical world in the most life-changing of ways.

Robin has taught me that he, and other spirits, can still see, move/create things, speak, and hear us without having a physical body. He still exists as a highly intelligent, creative spiritual being. I have all the proof I need to know this is true.

Since loved ones are waiting for us in spirit, I believe that no one dies alone, even if it seems like it from our limited physical world view of things. For that, I am very grateful.

Happy New Year! I hope you had a nice holiday season.

I have a few events related to Robin and Maurice’s birthday that I would like to share with you. Some interesting things occurred before, during and after their birthday.

The Lights All Went Out

One thing that happened occurred late in the evening on December 21st.  I noticed that the Christmas lights on our tree in our family room were out. I had plugged them in earlier in the evening and everything seemed fine. But later when I walked by, I noticed that every light was out.

I tried unplugging and plugging the lights in again several times, but to no avail. The electrical supply itself was still working for the socket, but no matter what I tried, the lights no longer worked.

I’ve had these same lights for the past eighteen years, so I’m not surprised they finally no longer worked. I would consider this a probable normal electrical malfunction. However, it’s just weird that this happened on the eve of the twin’s birthdays. That’s the only reason I’m writing about this here. I joked with them and said, “Did you guys knock out my lights?” Electrical manipulation is a common form of afterlife communication. I didn’t get a clear answer about this yet.

I’m not saying for sure that they had anything to do with this. I’m being humorous because I’m not sure. All I can say is there is a correlation between the lights going out and their birthday.

Afterlife CommunicationI usually do not have too much electrical activity. But when I do, it’s extremely clear something is going on, like a light turning on, on its own, the second I walk into a room or our kitchen lights flashing in 3’s like Morse code.

All I know is that a couple of hours or less before midnight, on December 22nd, all the lights on our tree were no longer working. Why did they go out at that time?

The lights may not have all gone out in Massachusetts, but they sure all went out on my tree, lol! Interesting…

Well, if Robin and Mo did have something to do with it, it certainly got my attention. I’ll bet they are a spirit world dynamic duo!

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were playing a birthday prank on me. But I have to consider the fact that the lights were old and it was a miracle they worked for so many years. However, the timing really makes me wonder…

This is a good example of what spirit communication is like sometimes. Yes, you have a good logical explanation for why something happened, but then there’s this little detail that makes me question my own logical explanation.

Maybe you’ve had similar experiences. Sometimes my loved ones in spirit really do leave me wondering and slightly puzzled!

So, on December 22nd, I was out buying new Christmas tree lights. Later in the day, I redecorated the tree all over again. The lights are still working thank goodness! One thing is for sure: I will always remember that I had to go out and buy new lights on Robin and Mo’s birthday, 2018! Thanks for the memory!

Riley

On December 22nd, before I went to the store to buy our new Christmas tree lights, I went to a local bookstore with Julian for some fun. We walked down an aisle, looking at the books on display. As I walked, I heard a little girl calling for someone. The name she was calling out was Riley. She kept saying it, “Riley…” “Riley…” It was so eerie in a good way because in my Maying in December post, I wrote about a comment for Robin by someone named Riley. I thought of that right away.

The post was dated December 22nd, which is the same day I heard the girl calling for Riley. Here is the comment that I mentioned in my post. I review it here for readers who may not have seen it. If you go to the video, the comment is the 7th one down:

Riley 2018 4 years ago: That hand cupped over his ear so he can hear himself. Amazing. As popular, loved, and perfect as his voice was, it shows he still needed to know he was on key. Such a talented family. Four brothers with voices that would make angels smile. Only one left now. So sad.

With synchronicities such as this, I feel completely dumbfounded by the way they are orchestrated. For me, this synchronicity was profound. Gregg Levoy sums up the feeling well in this Psychology Today article:

In fact, maybe the most important thing synchronicities offer is astonishment. How often, after all, in the course of a day or a week or a month, do you find yourself thunderstruck, flabbergasted at life, amazed by its finesse? Synchronicities are like the glimpse of a wild animal seldom seen, the discovery of an arrowhead or a geode, the return of your purse by some good Samaritan. Far removed from the mundaneness that seems to characterize such a vast portion of daily life, they help reconnect you to your sense of awe, and given the tyranny of the commonplace, what a service!

No one has been able to fully explain synchronicity, so perhaps you should simply accept it as a wild card and an ordering principle, the height of absurdity and the depth of profundity, and a crack in the door through which you can catch sight of the universe and its mysterious ways.

Hearing this little girl’s voice was like an echo across time and space and once again, tied to what I wrote about Robin. It reminds me of something else I once read about twin souls and parallel lives. The bold is mine and what I wish to emphasize:

So dear ones, everything you experience you share with your Twin Flame. It is impossible not to. Thus as you touch a flower, as you watch the moon, as you feel the breeze upon your cheek, you share it with your Twin Flame. And as you become conscious of each other, you both will begin to know it. You will experience what your Twin Flame does.

I find this to be very true. My experience of hearing the name Riley being called is a good example of how I experience what Robin does even though he is discarnate. I have been showing that through most of the posts on this website as a common thread.

Afterlife CommunicationIt’s not that you will experience everything your twin does because that is not realistic. But you will experience so many parallels that it will get your attention no matter what. It is meant to get your attention. After a while, you will know something is going on that you cannot explain away.

When your twin is discarnate, what they experience occurs symbolically. That experience can manifest through something they left behind here in the physical world.

For example, Riley wrote a comment about Robin’s singing, so that symbolizes his experience. Then I hear the name Riley being called in the bookstore when I was walking by at the perfect moment. So in that way, I had an experience with the name Riley the way Robin did with the person posting the comment. This occurred on the same day, which importantly, was his birthday.

I really enjoyed how ‘Riley’ was delivered back to me through spirit voice mail. No phone needed.

Julian’s Experience with Telekinesis

On December 23rd, my husband Julian approached me with an interesting story.

He said he saw that the lid to his container of henna beard dye that he makes was on the floor. It was in the middle of a rug on the floor in our bathroom. It was a couple of feet away from the sink countertop where the container was kept. He said he thought it was really strange because he always puts the lid on tightly to keep the moisture in. He said that when he got up to go to the bathroom that morning, he noticed it there.

I didn’t see it and wouldn’t have known about it without him telling me. He picked up the lid and put it back before telling me what happened. I asked him to show me where it was in the bathroom, but I don’t have a picture of the actual placement because Julian put it back before I could take a picture.

I believe that Robin moved it so that Julian could experience the same feelings I have about things being moved. That would help him be less skeptical of me when I say something has been moved and I know with 100% certainty that I didn’t do it. So, I’m glad it happened and that Robin moves his things too! It’s always different when it’s your things being moved!! The impact is much stronger.

Afterlife CommunicationsHow do I know Robin did this? Well, after you have been in a relationship with a spirit person that you love for over 6 years, you know what they like to do. You have to remember that I have had experience with Robin’s telekinesis since 2013. I would like to note that I never had telekinesis going on in our apartment before Robin’s passing.

Like many others in spirit, he likes to move objects at times that are near his birthday or passing anniversary dates.

Also, we all know our own habits very well. So, if something happens that deviates from what you know you always do, like Julian stated, then maybe something else is going on. You could have a visitor from spirit. I love it because I know who it is.

Loved ones in spirit have to do something that will get our attention and it will probably be something out of the ordinary. Otherwise, we’re not going to notice it or we’ll think we did it. They can move objects out of place in an obvious way because they know we will explain it away if they don’t. 

Some Additional Experiences with Telekinesis

Robin has a history of moving items to the floor. I’ve had all kinds of things moved to the floor over the years. I shared the story about the starfish being moved to the floor by his altar.

I have had my homemade deodorant container moved to the floor in the bathroom. That was many years ago now and I could not find the picture. If I find it in the future, I’ll post it.

I have had my cell phone moved off of my bookshelf onto my meditation cushion on the floor that was about 3 feet away. I saw it jump off of my shelf with my own eyes while I was lying down in bed. It landed very softly on my cushion like it was being placed there. It was one of those small flip phones. It flew in the air and just landed. That freaked me out a little but I knew it was Robin and I still like to joke with him about that one!

During the summer of 2015, I had a lot of dental work done and needed crowns. At that time I kept some dental tools on my sink so I could floss more easily. I kept them in a small glass jar.

One day when I walked into my bathroom, I noticed that the dental tools were moved out of the glass container and into an “L” shape on my sink counter. Here is the picture. The blue arrow points to the glass container I kept the dental tools in. The green arrow is pointing to the dental tools placed in the “L” shape:

Afterlife CommunicationI know that a picture of dental tools placed on a bathroom countertop is not exciting in and of itself. But if you consider that I have photographed spirit activity, it becomes really exciting.

I know Robin did this and I see it as a loving act and sign of his presence with me. I was going through a lot at the dentist at that time. I had a lot of pain and it was nice to have his support. I thought it was creative and sweet to place the tools the way he did. So, he has a history of moving my things in the bathroom, which is why I’m not surprised he would move Julian’s things too! It’s his way of saying “hello” and letting us know he’s around.

I have to admit that I’m pleasantly surprised at what Robin is able to do as a spirit. It seems like it would be difficult to toss a flip phone off of the shelf or to take the lid off of something that is on airtight. But, I felt his energy in my dream that I shared with you and he is very strong.

So, I suppose that translates into him being able to move physical objects in the way that he can. He’s really good at focusing his energy.

Robin is a highly intelligent, creative, and loving spiritual being who is now Pure Living Energy Light that is Eternal. This is who he is to me. He is doing very well and in excellent spiritual condition. I consider every act of telekinesis and every communication to be something sacred for which I am very grateful and love him for.

Some of the reasons I am together with Robin are to share healing love with you and for spiritual growth and awakening. Telekinesis, synchronicity and all of the other communications are ultimately for this reason.

Maying in December

Maying in December

On December 22, 2018, Robin (and Maurice) would have been 69 years old. I always think about them on their birthday and throughout the years have served them love offerings of cakes and tea I have made for them. It’s a lovely occasion to honor deceased loved ones on their birthday. It strengthens our bond.

I love it because I never had the opportunity to celebrate their birthday with them and it’s our chance to have some fun together.

You can still have this kind of celebration with any loved one in spirit that you are close with. It does not only have to be on October 31st, The Day of the Dead.

If you believe, have faith and love, this is possible. It doesn’t matter if other people don’t understand. This is for you and your loved ones.  Hopefully, your loved one in spirit will know and will love you for it. If you are especially close with an unbreakable bond, it seems more likely that they will know what you are doing for them.

Connecting with Maurice

This blog is primarily for and about RoAfterlife Communicationsbin, but I still feel a spiritual closeness with Maurice because I have had several dreams about him over the years that are visitations. So, that is why I honor him as well along with Robin on December 22nd. How could I not remember and honor Robin’s twin brother, especially given that he contacted me?

The happiest part about the dream I had about Maurice in 2012 was gaining the knowledge that he is back together with Robin. He looked very well in the dream and was wearing a black suit and hat like he used to. This dream about Maurice was pivotal in my understanding that I was truly connecting with Robin. I am forever grateful.

I had another dream about Maurice on January 9, 2017. I recorded it in my dream journal. Here is the dream:

We were in a large room. Maurice looked like he did in his 20’s. I said to Mo, “Are you feeling ok?” Mo said, “Yes.” I asked Mo, “Can I give you a hug?” Mo said, “Yes.” We hugged.

Then I wanted Mo to sign or autograph something for me, but I could not find him. Someone said he was tired.

Maurice’s passing date was January 12, 2003, so I could have had the dream on the 9th because it was close to his passing date anniversary. It’s common to get a communication from loved ones in spirit near an anniversary date of theirs. It was nice to hug him again.

When I mention any of Robin’s family members, I always do so with the utmost respect, care and purpose. The only reason I would mention any of Robin’s family members on this blog are because I have had my own personal spiritual connection with some of them or there is a life parallel that includes them.

Robin has a wife, children, grandchildren, brother, sister and a large extended family of nieces and nephews, none of whom I have met. So, I always wish to be conscientious in what I write here. I will always write about Robin’s family members from a spirit of kindness and only if it’s for a good reason, like if I need to describe a synchronicity or a dream, for example.

Birthday Gifts

For birthday gifts, I make a donation to one of Robin’s charities and I make it in both Maurice’s and Robin’s names.

I mention this to give readers a suggestion of what you can do to honor deceased loved ones on their birthday. You can make a donation to a favorite charity or organization of your loved one and make it in their name. There are lots of things people can do and I’m sure it varies from culture to culture. This is only one idea.

As many of you reading this know, the Bee Gees had a fantastic sense of humor. There are many videos on YouTube showing how funny they were. I thank the person that created this video compilation! I’m sure Robin and Maurice would love it if we celebrated their birthday by having a good laugh!

Along those lines, I’m going to write about a synchronicity I experienced a few years ago that brought me laughter and still does to this day.

On May 2, 2016, I had been reading my Bee Gees book that I have referred to on this site many times.  I was in the waiting room of the dentist my husband was seeing that day.

I was reading about some issues Robin was having early in his career. It had to do with how he looked on stage. The bold is mine:

Robin had also come under fire for his stage presence. Standing perfectly still in the spotlight with his right hand cupped to his ear, his left arm outstretched, he looked, according to one writer, “like a gawkish village bobby on point duty”. (1)

I hope that didn’t hurt his feelings to be told he looked like a British police officer while he was singing. Robin is very sensitive.

Anyway, after we were finished at the dentist, we went grocery shopping. I went to a cashier that was available when I was ready to leave. Then, out of the blue, he starts talking to me about this song playing over and over in his head called, Now is the Month of Maying sung by Don Knotts playing Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show.  I’m thinking, “Why is this guy telling me this?”

The cashier said that Barney put his hand to his ear so he could hear himself better.  The next thing I know, the cashier puts his right hand up to his right ear, imitating Barney Fife (and Robin even though he didn’t know it)!

I couldn’t believe it. I wonder what my face looked like at that moment! I thought to myself, “Robin, did you just jump into this guy’s body?” I was looking at a mirror image of what I had just been reading about; Robin cupping his right hand over his ear. I thought that was hilarious!

When I got home later, I found a video on YouTube of Barney Fife singing this song. I wasn’t familiar with this song or what the cashier was talking about, so I had to research it. Since 2012, I have been Robin’s personal research assistant, lol!

Afterlife CommunicationsIf this is your type of humor, you might find it funny. If not, I’m sorry. The synchronicity is still good.  I think it’s cute and really funny! I guarantee you Robin thinks it’s funny which is why I got the message in the first place, lol, singing lessons and all!

I’m so happy that this song has a “fa-la-la” chorus. It’s not exactly a Christmas carol, but it fits right in at this time of year anyway!

 

 

I Can Hear Better!!

Here is Robin singing And the Sun Will Shine in 1974 with his hand cupped over his ear. I found this video at the time because I was looking for examples of how Robin sang like this. Also, this version of the song is so beautiful.

Sometimes I scroll down and read viewer’s comments, which is what I did in this instance. Here is a great one that synchronized with what the cashier said about Barney Fife. The bold is mine:

This, my friends, is how twin souls communicate when the one in spirit still has his amazing sense of humor and the one on earth is willing to constantly look things up!

Here is some information on why singers cup their ear with their hand. Very interesting!

When you see a singer with one hand up to their ear, they are actually using a DIY monitor system, or foldback system (listen to how they actually sound).

Happy Birthday Robin and Maurice! For anyone else who had or has a birthday in December, Happy Birthday to you too! Merry Christmas!
