I understand that not everyone reading this blog has experienced an afterlife twin soul connection. So, I like to write about afterlife communication in a general way too so more people can benefit and relate.
The way I communicate with Robin falls under the larger umbrella of afterlife communication, so I don’t feel limited to talking about this only from the perspective of twin souls experiencing a cross-dimensional connection.
Closure? Not Necessarily
I still do lots of research on afterlife communication to keep my skills sharp. I often find new and interesting articles.
Recently, I was inspired by this article called 16 Tips for Continuing Bonds with People We’ve Lost. The website is called What’s Your Grief by Litsa Williams and Eleanor Haley.
I love this article because it is reinforcing what I’ve been sharing with Robin for 7 years. I actively practice many of their tips on a daily basis.
When someone dies physically, we don’t have to lose them completely by “moving on” or with so-called “closure.” I rejected that notion from the beginning of my connection with Robin, even though I did not have any models to follow.
Robin also rejected this notion of “closure” regarding Maurice’s death as you can see here on this episode of A Brush with Fame. He talks about this at 17:40 in to the video.
We can continue our relationship with our loved one after they die. Sometimes we might need a little help to know just how to do that.
Deceased Loved Ones You Did Not Meet
I took it one step further: we can build and create a loving, ongoing relationship with someone we did not know during our lifetimes if we can find each other after death and it is a mutual desire of both parties involved. Twin souls or soul mates who did not meet would fit perfectly within this category but this connection is not limited to this. It’s also possible to connect with an ancestor you did not know.
I always believed in life after death, long before Robin’s passing. What I share with Robin was much more complicated at first because we did not know each other. I had several extra hurdles to cross because almost all of the literature on afterlife communication focuses only on friends and family members that knew and loved each other.
They are basically saying that if you did not know the person, we don’t expect that you would be able to create a relationship with them after they die. However, this is extremely limiting in terms of who we are as spiritual beings. Do you really think that the only people you are connected to are the ones you know in this one lifetime? I know for a fact that for me, my connections go far beyond the very few people I am close to in this life. Thank goodness for that.
This article on grieving someone you didn’t know hits the nail on the head for me and is so incredibly validating.
It is a gem in a sea of literature that fails to acknowledge these real feelings very well. Most of the time, people are ridiculed for grieving for people they didn’t know, especially a celebrity. But, you can truly grieve the loss of what you never had the opportunity to have at all. The article explains this very well.
Lots of people grieve the deaths of famous people, and it’s not crazy. Are you grieving Robin Gibb’s death? How about Prince, David Bowie, or Robin Williams? Check out the comments on the link and you will see that a lot of people feel the same way and are quite open about it. I praise this website for normalizing this.
We Knew Each Other
But even for those who did know each other, the common directives given in the grief counseling literature in the past are about getting on with your life without including your loved one anymore.
Things are gradually and slowly changing. Continuing bonds theory suggests that we can continue our relationships with deceased loved ones and that it is a healthy, life-affirming way to grieve the loss of their physical presence.
It seems to me that afterlife communication and continuing a relationship with a loved one in spirit can help protect against complicated grief and bereavement.
It’s is my personal belief that the loss of a loved one is made even more deeply painful when a person has imposed upon them the belief that they should forget about or disengage from the ones they love. Society might give you a year to grieve, if that. Then after that, you are expected to “let go.”
You don’t have to. That depends on your relationship with your loved one. Are they visiting you in your dreams? Do you notice objects being moved that is out of the ordinary and relevant to them? Then, maybe they don’t want you to “let go.” Perhaps, they still want to be included in your life.
This does not mean that you won’t still feel sadness and grief over the physical loss of a loved one. It’s just that perhaps these feelings will not be as debilitating as they could be if you open up a dialogue with them.
When it comes to afterlife communication, it is also important to be aware of the effect we could be having on loved ones in spirit. Cordula Feuerstack wrote about this in her article, Language of the Heart.
Love and gratitude are inviting to our loved ones while other emotions may repel them. The article does not specify, but I would think that anger, resentment, hostility, or anything that is the opposite of love and gratitude could repel loved ones in spirit. If it doesn’t repel them, then these types of thoughts and emotions could have a negative effect on their spiritual progress.
So, I think this is good to keep in mind. We may need to do some healing work before we are ready for deeper afterlife communication, which is fine. You have a right to that after losing someone you love. There is nothing wrong with seeking grief counseling if you think it may help. There is also grief yoga which some of you may be drawn to.
Connecting with Robin in Faith
In 2012, when Robin passed, I had not read any of this type of information yet. I just knew I had to contact him and I was going to try my best to reach him with love and respect. I had to try and I had enough faith in his ongoing existence to do so. I didn’t say, “Well, he died, so I guess that’s it. I guess I should just move on and forget about him.”
How could I do that when he was popping up in my dreams? Trust me, I wasn’t going to forget about him. He wouldn’t let me forget him. He was just getting started and I loved it! Not only that, I felt too pulled and connected to him to “move on.” This was the first time in my life that this happened to me concerning a person that had passed away.
I know this is completely different from losing a child, parent, spouse, family member or friend that you love and actually shared life with on a daily or frequent basis. I too have lost family members and friends that I knew and loved. So, I know the difference.
Robin’s death became more painful for me after I came to realize he had been here the whole time and I missed his entire life.
I never saw a concert. I experienced nothing of him but CD’s and songs on the radio. But, that’s as it was meant to be. I write this with pain in my heart. Twin souls that met after the death of their twin may be able to relate to this, but I don’t expect that everyone will be able to. If you can, you have a very empathic, sweet, and sensitive heart!
I once opened up to a woman about Robin who told me that I share an uncommon bond of the soul with him. It says here that it is rare for someone who was famous to visit a person they did not know, after their death.
So, it may be that people in general won’t be able to relate to what I’m writing about here because it is not common. But, I am writing for a specific audience that I believe does understand me because you have had your own experiences or are open to learning about afterlife communication and twin souls.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me! I appreciate you. Maybe you see some of yourself in the things I write about.
Afterlife Communication: 3 Ways to Keep in Touch and Show your Love
I think a lot of us already know that we can keep in touch with our loved ones if we want to, but we are shamed in to not doing this because we think are supposed to “move on.” Well, it’s time to drop the guilt. We don’t have to live up to the expectations of a society that does not understand. Find the people who do understand, whether in person or online in a safe space. The What’s Your Grief website I have shared here is a great resource for this.
I have been inspired by this website to add 3 more suggestions to their list based on my personal experiences with Robin. Here they are:
1.Make a promise to your loved one…and keep it: A few months ago, I mentioned that I was going to have a colonoscopy. I promised Robin that I would because of his diagnosis with colorectal cancer. So, I did have my colonoscopy and had good results from it (one benign hyperplastic polyp removed, no sign of cancer). Why am I telling you this? For educational purposes. I know that pretty much no one wants to hear about this. But, the person that this blog is in honor of had health problems in this area, so I feel a responsibility to share what I know about this.
I don’t need another colonoscopy for 10 years unless of course I notice a health issue. It was a great relief to get it done and over with. I felt a strong bond with Robin after doing this and I’m so happy I kept my promise to him.
I know that what Robin went through with colon cancer must have been so scary for him. My heart still goes out to him strongly for what he went through. This is why I want to include this message about colon health here.
Did your loved one die of a particular illness? One way to connect with them is to take care of your health in that area. Did a close relative have breast cancer? Then one way to honor their memory could be to get regular mammograms. The promise can be anything you want, as long as you keep it. They will know!
2.Read something out loud to them while holding their picture: This ties into talking to your loved one out loud. I’ve done this with Robin since 2012 and I don’t feel the least bit embarrassed about it. It’s a wonderful and private way to connect.
I couldn’t spend time with him between 1949 and 2012, so I’m spending time with him now. This is how I do it. Missing his life has actually made me more determined to be with him now.
It helps that I have an altar for him with his photo and other items I have shown you in pictures on this blog. I also have other pictures of him I hold while praying or talking with him.
A few weeks ago, I decided to read from a book out loud to him called, Emmanuel’s Book.
I have had this book for at least 20 years. I love the kind wisdom expressed throughout the book. I had not read it in a very long time and thought it would be perfect to share with Robin.
I browsed through different chapters, sharing and reading about ideas on illness and healing.
Then I came to Chapter 3 on Love. I read the first two beautiful pages of the chapter and then I came to page 49 which is important. I read this to Robin:
Love requires no practice. Love is. One cannot practice is-ness. One can, however, practice the decision to love. (1)
This passage made me feel thoughtful as it brought back a memory of something Robin was once quoted as saying. I knew he said something similar about love. Reading Emmanuel’s Book to him brought me right back to his words. I found his quote in this article by Rosanna Greenstreet from The Guardian. Here is her question and Robin’s response:
What does love feel like?
It’s like trying to describe electricity or the colour of air. It just “is”.
It was so amazing that reading this book for the first time in many years led to this synchronicity with Robin. I loved that Emmanuel felt the same way he did and that I could share that with him! It was a nice moment.
It’s fun to read to Robin and even more fun to receive an unexpected mirroring. So, this is something else you could try with your loved one. Find something to read that you think they would like, maybe one of their old favorite books and see what happens! Robin probably knew that “Love is” message was there before I even read it! Spirits know things we don’t or don’t remember and can guide us right into the synchronicity.
Here is the picture of Robin I was holding when I was reading to him this page about how” Love is.”
A few hours after I wrote this section, I got an email from https://www.enlightenedmessages.com/ with my enlightened message for my soul. The message was:
Say “YES” outloud to your life Christina.
I love how the words “out loud” showed up again synchronistically. There’s something to be said for speaking what’s in your heart out loud. When it comes to afterlife communication with Robin, it’s my way of setting up a direct line of communication with him so he knows I’m speaking with him specifically. I pray first, hold his picture, and then call his name, “Robin Hugh Gibb.” That way, he knows that what I’m about to share is for him.
3.Create something handmade for their altar: I like to light candles on Robin’s altar and leave him tea. So, I made special coasters to protect his altar table. I bought some Mother of Pearl tiles, some DIY coasters and silvery paint. I painted the coasters and then glued the tiles on. I thought these would look pretty and be nice a complement to the beachy area we live in.
I have shared in a previous post how I created a banner of Robin’s songs behind his altar, under the window sill. This was in my Valentine’s Day post. You can see the coaster I made for him pretty well on the picture I shared of his altar.
Another nice idea is to buy something handmade for an altar space that would have special meaning to your loved one.
One day in 2018, I went shopping with my husband to an arts show where people were selling handmade items like jewelry, wind chimes and other art work.
I was drawn to one lady’s booth in particular. She had these beautiful rugs. I spoke with her for a few moments and she told me that the rugs were all hand-loom woven on antique looms. If you scroll all the way down to the About section at end of this page, you can see pictures of the artists and looms. Really cool!
That caught my attention because Robin’s ancestors from Paisley, Scotland were hand-loom weavers.
So, even though it wasn’t a Paisley shawl, I thought it would be a good addition to Robin’s altar and a nice way to acknowledge his ancestry. I like to give him things that are meaningful. You can see a picture of the rug under Robin’s altar at the end of this post.
I worked hard on this post, so I hope you enjoyed my suggestions and references!
I also hope that you have the opportunity to come up with your own ways of keeping in close touch with your loved ones in spirit.

I’m always sharing with you that I offer Robin tea and have lunch at his altar space to connect with him spiritually. So, I thought I would give you some information on the roots and foundation of this practice.
After reading many articles on how to connect with deceased loved ones and ancestors, I started bringing him tea offerings in 2012 as a way to bond with his spirit and allow him to get to know me.
This article, Five Ways to Honor Your Ancestors by Daniel Foor, is one of the best I have found in terms of discussing altar creation and making offerings to deceased ancestors (See section, Make Offerings to the Ancestors).
I highly recommend it. I found the suggestions easy to apply to my twin soul connection with Robin. It has informed me well over the years and taught me what I could do to create an everyday, ongoing relationship with him. It is possible to do this. If a particular spirit is your twin soul, then you may feel pulled to establish a relationship with them like I did with Robin.
Making tea offerings for Robin’s spirit on a regular basis keeps us close and connected. It’s one of my ways of sending him a message of love and support that is easy and affordable. Making this offering lets him know I am thinking of him and actively participating in our spiritual relationship.
It’s important to give your loved one something they would have liked and I was pretty sure he liked tea. Years ago, I read in my Bee Gees book that Robin and Dwina had garden tea parties at their home:
Robin and Dwina once again opened the grounds of their home, The Prebendal in Thame, for the Heritage Foundation with a summer garden tea party on July 17. (1)
In addition to offering him tea, I have also explored tea shops in countries that he loved. While sitting at his altar, I go online and research cute shops. I share with him what I find. Here is one on the Isle of Man. I wonder if Robin ever went there.
If it’s not too expensive, I might consider ordering some tea from Manx Tea and Coffee. It seems they ship all over the world. This is an example of a very special way to bond with a deceased loved one: connecting with a beloved country of origin through food or drink. Of course, you don’t have to do something like this, but if you can, I’m sure your loved one would deeply appreciate the effort you show to care for them in such a specific way.
By doing these things, I am treating Robin as a real and living spiritual being who is capable of being very well aware of what I’m offering him. Based on personal experience, I know that people in spirit are not sleeping all of the time. I believe there are times of rest, but Robin showed me that he is, at times, very active. He’s awake, alive, and alert in Spirit and he knows what’s going on with those closest to him.
Once you have the faith that a loved one in spirit can sense and connect with what you are doing for them, amazing responses back to you can happen. People in spirit are a lot smarter than people in physical bodies often give them credit for. Robin has shown himself to be highly intelligent and creative as a spirit and I have passed that information on to you in many of my blog posts.
Twin Soul Ancestor of Spirit
I consider Robin to be an ancestor of my spirit. A twin soul is a key member of your core soul family and one you are closest with in terms of spirit energy light. According to Sal Rachele in the book Soul Integration, twin flames (twin souls) are defined as:
The counterpart to your soul, that emerged from the oversoul at the same time as you did. The other part of your soul pair. Your “other whole” (as opposed to other half). (2)
A good metaphor for this is a pair of shoes. The right shoe is a whole shoe, but half of a pair that includes the left shoe. I’m a whole soul, but half of a pair that includes Robin. The larger soul family that we are a part of is also included.
It is possible to meet your counterpart after their physical death. That is what happened to me.
I bring him food and drink offerings the way that others would make offerings to deceased ancestors of their bloodline. However, it is my belief that ancestors are not blood relatives only. You could have soul family members that you have no blood relation to whatsoever. I’m certain that there are people adopted into wonderful families that would agree with this. What I am talking about here is the Spiritual DNA of our extended soul group. Astra Ferro writes about this here and gives a thorough and helpful explanation of this concept. It’s a good article.
This concept is also discussed here and encourages us to think in broader terms about who our ancestors are including and beyond bloodlines. In this article, the author is saying that our spirit ancestors have much to offer in the way of support for their relatives on Earth.
Due to my life experience, my point of view is that spirit is thicker than blood. Twin souls carry the same spirit energy. You can’t get much more familial or ancestral than that.
It is spirit energy in the form of light, vibration, colors and sound. It is very similar to the spiritual description of soul mates found here. (See entry for Courageous Souls by Robert Schwartz). Whereas soul mates have a very similar vibration, twin souls have a nearly identical vibration.
Benefits of Connections with Twin Soul Spirit Ancestors
Spiritual ancestral connections, such as twin soul connections, are often very beneficial for the one still on Earth. Some people assume that by communing with spirits, you are automatically communicating with an evil entity. That is not necessarily the case. I personally would not allow that in my life and I use spiritual protection daily. You have to test the spirit and see what kind of energy he or she is bringing into your life.
This website has very good variety in terms of prayers for protection from different faiths and traditions. I like to use a combination of different prayers to keep my requests for protection fresh and authentic. Prayers for protection are meant to be read from the heart and soul for a deeper effect.
So, what are some of the benefits? Since Robin’s passing, my relationship with God has grown much stronger. I am growing more conscious of my Oneness with God. I trust God and Spirit to be there for me much more than I used to. I have much more faith in the afterlife, where it is not just a belief, but a knowing.
I’ve studied and learned many prayers and mantras that I have offered him over the years for the healing and edification of his spirit. In the process, my spirit has been healed and strengthened as well.
Over the course of the seven years with Robin, I have lost weight that I have kept off. I’m not a vegetarian, but include lots of vegetables in my diet as inspired by his good example.
I also became a teetotaler. When I learned that Robin did not drink alcohol for a significant period in his life, I decided I wanted to be the same way. I didn’t want any substances to interfere with my connection with him.
All in all, he’s been a very positive influence. I’ve gone through a lot of purification with him being in my life.
All Robin has ever done is bring more love, intense learning, mystical beauty, and joy into my life. Through his presence, I have greater knowledge and awareness of the interactive nature of the unseen world around us. There is an unseen world filled with living spirits capable of engaging in intelligent, caring, 2-way communication with loved ones in the physical world.
It is a fact. I have seen it with my own eyes.
Part of my work with Paisley and Poppies is to show you that this is true. I have shared with you how over the years, Robin has left incredible physical evidence of his presence with me.
Conclusion
Since there is so much negativity, judgment, and fear when it comes to communicating with spirits, I wanted to be sure to report the positive experiences I have had in being connected with Robin.
I have been writing for over a year now and have over 100 posts that include dozens of supporting sources and references. So, at this point, people will either believe me or they won’t. I have done my best to share the truth of what I have experienced concerning Robin. I know some of you are with me and have had your own beautiful experiences with Robin and other loved ones in spirit.
Loved ones, twin souls, and ancestors in spirit keep trying to get through to us to let us know they still exist. It’s absolutely amazing what some spirits can do and I include Robin in this category. I feel the least we can do is to acknowledge, with gratitude, the signs we are given. It’s our responsibility to open our hearts, watch, listen and pay attention to what they have to say.
All my best to you and thank you for reading!

In my connection with Robin, I am always looking for new things to share with him. On June 17, 2019, I wanted to have something beautiful to read to him during our tea time. So, I went online and researched poetry from different cultures.
Poetry from Around the World
I went to Google and researched “beautiful poetry Spain.” I did the same search for France and Italy. I have never done this before, but felt guided in this direction on that night. I’m not familiar with poetry from these countries, so I was hoping for something unique to share with Robin.
I love new and different things when it comes to many areas of life. When it comes to books, I have many that are best friends and I turn to them over and over again. But sometimes, it’s time for something new, so I do my best to keep my life balanced in that way.
I found some good links for French and Italian poetry.
During my Google search for “beautiful poetry Italy,” I noticed a link for Pinterest.
I clicked on the link so I could explore the poems. A few were written by Italian authors, but I also noticed poetry from authors from all around the world. I didn’t sign into my account at this point because I was just browsing.
I saw a poem I liked called “Not” by Erin Hanson. The poem was on this page.
It’s a great poem guiding us to not define ourselves by superficial criteria. Here is a screenshot of the poem and the other writings that were beside it on the exact day I found it on Pinterest:
The Significance of 520
While reading the poem, I noticed the numbers, “520” to the right of it. I was drawn into this because I associate these numbers with Robin’s passing date, May 20th. I wanted to see what the “520, means coffee time” meant. So, I decided to sign into Pinterest at that point. But after I did, I could no longer find the listing. Pinterest varies in what it shows from moment to moment it seems. So, I Googled it. Here is a screenshot:
Doing this helped me find the post again. I clicked on the Google link, signed into Pinterest and got a lot more information. The pin was published on May 20, 2017. Here is the screenshot. I could only see this when I logged in so I’m showing this to you in case you don’t have a Pinterest account:
I learned that “520” means “I love you” in Chinese. Also, May 20th is considered to be Chinese Valentine’s Day. I had no idea! This was amazing to find out these numbers I associate with Robin have such a touching meaning in this culture. I’m happy that “520” in this case is actually associated with May 20th and not just “520” with no additional meaning.
The pin connects to this post that was published on May 20, 2017. The author associates “520” with relaxing coffee time. There’s nothing wrong with that!
As I scroll to the bottom of the page, I noticed a post about tea. I love this page, including the photography and sentiments expressed.
I thought this was particularly nice because my main point that night was to find something good to read to Robin while I gave him his orange-spice tea offering.
I had no idea that when I followed my guidance to research French and Italian poetry, that it would lead me on this journey. One thing led to another. I love how it was all interconnected.
I guess we’re still not done talking about Robin’s passing date anniversary because it keeps coming up in the most random and unexpected ways! I don’t determine when we’re done talking about May 20th, Spirit is! More specifically, Robin’s spirit 🙂 !
Staying Connected Across Dimensions
Receiving this message connected to Robin’s passing date felt so wonderful because I had missed him that day. Life in the physical world is busy and distracting as you know, so I cherish the messages I get that connect me back to him.
It felt like he was saying, “Hi, I’m right here.” Since I was engaged in an activity that had to do with him when I saw “520,” and the new information about its meaning in Chinese, I take this as a sign of Robin’s presence with me. It gives me a nice new memory and association with May 20th from now on.
These messages also serve to strengthen and deepen our bond. I feel like he is closely engaged in what I’m doing. These messages also give me encouragement to continue our relationship across dimensions.
Receiving these messages is very important to me because I’m hearing from Robin through them and it gives me the feeling that he’s still interested in our relationship.
Imagine that you had a friend on earth that you thought you had a great relationship with, only you never hear from them. You write, call, email and/or text them, but you never hear back from them. Well, eventually, you would give up on contacting them because you’re not getting any feedback, reinforcement or sign that this person is interested in having a relationship with you.
Going back to 2012, if I did not get any messages back from Robin, I would have stopped communicating with him because I don’t continue to reach out to people who don’t respond to me whether embodied or disembodied. I don’t want to bother someone or make a nuisance out of myself. I also have to respect myself and the other party and move on if there is not a mutual connection.
In this way, I was letting Robin know that if he wanted to have a relationship with me, he had to give me some kind of indication, message or response so I knew the connection was mutual. He has done far more than I could have ever imagined in that regard.
Since my relationship with Robin includes God, I see this scripture made manifest in my life:
20Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
The only reason I have this blog is because I continue to receive messages from Robin. If he stopped communicating with me, I would no longer have any messages to write about.
So, when I get a communication, dream, telekinesis, or synchronicity that connects back to him, it is both comforting and a relief because it’s like getting a letter or phone call that says he’s still with me.
I expect that the communications will continue because we love each other and because of our twin soul/soul family connection. I am extremely grateful for this. My connection with Robin has made life on Earth so much better for me.
I usually get one “phone call” or synchronicity a day that really stands out to me as something that connects back to Robin. I know his spirit is with me in those moments.
Here is some good additional information about afterlife communication. It shows how deceased loved ones like to use numbers and significant dates, such as passing dates, to communicate.
Thank you for reading and visiting me here today. I deeply appreciate all of my subscribers!
Love,
Christina
Since I wrote my last post, I needed to go through a period of germination before I was ready to put words to print once again.
This period of time between Robin’s passing date anniversary (May 20) and his funeral date anniversary (June 8) has been a very intense time for me of reflection, quietness, solitude and tuning into him.
I wonder what his soul experienced between these dates in 2012 and whether he was closely watching what transpired in his honor. I suspect that he was.
It really matters when a person leaves the earth plane. People are leaving the physical plane of the earth every minute. We don’t know the vast majority of them, who exit their bodies under the most gentle or horrendous of circumstances. But they still matter.
I did not want to rush and write anything here until I was truly ready. Now, my ideas have formed sufficiently enough in my soul to share them with you.
This post is inspired and influenced by the energies I am experiencing concerning Robin during this introspective time between his passing date anniversary and funeral anniversary. It is about spiritual beauty and in remembrance of beautiful souls that I adore.
Avatars of Love, Beauty, and Compassion
When most people think of an avatar, they think of the movie or a graphic representation of a person seen on the internet.
That is all true and fine, and I liked the movie. But the word “avatar” has much greater and deeper meanings.
An avatar is an incarnation of the divine in human form. It is also an incarnation or the embodiment of particular human qualities.
According to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/avatar, an avatar is the embodiment of a Hindu deity, for example. The other definition, which is the one I am relating to in this post, is “an embodiment (as of a concept or philosophy) often in a person.”
On May 22nd, I felt guided to read Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda again.
I sought his guidance about some things going on in my life. As I spent time thinking of him, I remembered that he was called a Premavatar, an incarnation of divine love. His guru Sri Yukteswar referred to him as this. (1) The title Premavatar was officially given to him by his chief disciple, Rajarsi Janakananda after his passing.
This is so beautiful to me and it caused me to reflect on Robin. I thought about his beauty that flowed through his 4th and 5th chakras, the heart and the throat respectively, as music. Here, I am not talking about physical beauty or glamour, although he had that.
I am speaking of spiritual beauty, a beauty beyond words, that I hear coming from his soul, a higher place, through the vehicle of his songs.
For me, one of the songs that display this spiritual beauty quite strongly is Elisa, particularly the end of the song.
The combination of Robin’s voice and the musical composition in this song recently brought me to tears due to the beauty of it. He found a way to make the sadness of saying goodbye sound exquisitely beautiful. I have a great appreciation for this type of beauty.
At the end of the song Elisa, Robin was able to consolidate and transform the emotions of loss and longing into gorgeous notes of music. It is an incredible piece. Robin was only 23 years old when this song was released.
I was using my third ear while listening to this song, meaning, I was listening deeply for the emotional messages he was uncovering. Perhaps you use your third ear too, when listening to Robin sing.
Some of my reactions to Robin’s music may tie into my being an empath, as mentioned in this article by J.R. Thorpe. I am referring mostly to the last 5 paragraphs of the post.
I don’t know if Robin’s singing at the end of Elisa is considered an aria because I don’t know very much about the technical terms used in music. But that word comes to mind. Some of you reading who know much more about music than I do may know the correct term.
There are many other songs where Robin’s soul beauty and pure essence shines through. To me, the energies feel like they come from a higher plane. Here are four more:
Since meeting Robin spiritually in 2012, one of the qualities that moves me the most about him is his spiritual beauty expressed through his music, his literal soul-song. That is a part of him that remains. It is an important aspect of him that I have been connecting with as I listen to his music.
He has shown amazing capability to create beauty as a spirit person as well which I have captured in photographs and shared with you here.
As a result of these feelings, and inspiration from Paramahansa Yogananda, I thought about offering him his own Sanskrit “title” or nickname from my heart to his. Even though it’s a nickname, I’m serious about this description of him and truly feel this applies to him.
This is the spiritual love that twin souls and soul family members have for each other.
I wanted to call him a “beauty avatar,” but I did not know any Sanskrit words for beauty. So, I had to do my research. I discovered that there are 97 Sanskrit words for beauty!
After looking at different options, I chose the word, Sundara, which means “beautiful.”
I wrote a note to Robin in my journal on Saturday, May 25th, offering him these words:
May 25, 2019 Saturday
Dear Beloved Robin,
If Paramahansa Yogananda is an Incarnation of Divine Love, then, to me, you are an Incarnation of Divine Beauty.
P.Y. is a Premavatar.
I call you Robin,
Sundara-Avatar because “Sundara” in Sanskrit means “beautiful-lovely” in terms of a person.
Sundara-Avatar: an incarnation of Divine Beauty.
All my love,
Christina
This blog is not just about how Robin communicates with me. It’s also about how I communicate with him. You can write notes and letters to your loved ones in spirit. They can read it somehow and know the feelings in your heart. It’s a nice way to continue bonding with loved ones after they cross over. I love writing letters to Robin on a regular basis. It’s a great way to set the stage for synchronicity or make a request for a sign.
Robin was an embodiment of divine beauty, which he expressed through his artistry, writing, singing, and other philanthropic activities. His music expressed spiritual beauty that continues to be emotionally-cleansing, inspiring and healing. It touches a place deep in my soul and the souls of millions of others.
It is through these words that I wish to honor him at the time of his seven year anniversary in spirit.
We can do this type of thing for any person in spirit that we love and care for. Nobody can stop you if you wish to express yourself in this way to a deceased loved one. Offering a special “title” or nickname to someone we love in spirit may be something they really enjoy. It could strengthen your bond. It does not define them in anyway because really, they are beyond any title or pet nickname. But it’s a nice gift to give someone and it’s cute and fun. If it’s meant as a loving gift, and term of endearment, I think the person in spirit may truly appreciate it. Basically, by doing this, you are sending love, which is always welcome.
You can do this with your living loved ones too. What divine qualities do you see in them? Now is the time to tell them. This ‘seeing the divine in others’ is contagious. Since my husband Julian is so compassionate with children and animals, especially injured ones, I gave him the “title” and nickname, Karuna-Avatar, an Incarnation of Divine Compassion. He also embodied this quality prominently when he drove me to radiation therapy, 5 days a week for 4 weeks in a row.
So, he deserves the “title.” It’s fun to do this and it works wonders for your relationships when it’s done with sincerity!
Divine Beauty: John O’ Donohue, Ph.D.
During my research on Sanskrit words for divine beauty, I came across a tremendous surprise and gift. I discovered that the author of one of my favorite books, Anam Cara, also wrote a book on divine beauty that I did not know about. The book is now called Beauty: The Invisible Embrace, (March 1, 2005) by John O’ Donohue.
John O’ Donohue is an author I discovered after Robin’s passing and is one of the greatest teachers on soul relationships. I am deeply touched by his writings as are millions of others.
If you click here, you can read a sample of his beautiful, poetic writing.
On May 26th, I read about him on Wikipedia and discovered he passed away unexpectedly in his sleep in 2008 at the age of 52.
I reflected on how that is the age I am right now. It was another lesson on how precious and transitory life is. I am reminded that all I have is now and that I don’t have time to waste. This is why I am writing from my heart and the deepest places within me to share my messages and hopefully touch the hearts of others the way other writers have touched mine.
One thing I have learned on this journey with Robin is that if I want to be an inspiration to others and leave something worthwhile behind in this world, I can’t keep everything locked up inside. Some of the most important things I have to offer and say are connected to my relationship with Robin in spirit. I finally found the courage to share some of these experiences beginning in 2018.
The most inspirational and wisdom-filled people are the ones who share authentically and deeply from their hearts and souls, their insights, discoveries and experiences. They also share their creative gifts, as Robin did, for the betterment of humanity.
During my research, I found this podcast of John O’ Donohue on this website called https://onbeing.org/.
He was being interviewed by Krista Tippett.
I cannot express enough how incredible it is and I highly encourage you to listen to it and/or read the transcript.
I was at Robin’s altar when I listened to it. Afterwards I said to him, “He is an Incarnation of Divine Beauty too.”
I am surrounded by incarnations of beauty, love, compassion, and wisdom. By reading this, I hope you are surrounded by these energies as well. We need this to counterbalance the harsher energies that we inevitably encounter in daily life. All we have to do is watch five minutes of the news and this point will quickly be brought home.
If you visit https://www.johnodonohue.com/, you can view a lovely and inspirational video with excellent spiritual teachings and hear Dr. O’ Donohue speaking in his beautiful Irish brogue.
Cormael
I would like to take a moment to share something else with you. I have written about a twin soul couple named Cormael in one of my posts.
The couple consists of a woman named Cornelia Kluijtmans and her twin soul Michael Hutchence of INXS.
Sadly, I found out that she passed away last year. It came as quite a shock to me. I had finally written to her in December, 2018 after I had recovered a bit. I wanted to let her know about this website.
She didn’t write me back, so I was disappointed at the time. I did notice that she didn’t have any new recent posts at the time and I missed them.
During this time, I was guided to read this twin flame website and this is where and how I found out she had passed away.
Cornelia was born in 1966 as you can see here. This is the same year I was born, so I always felt a kindred connection with her, even though I never met or connected with her.
I found out here that she passed away in October, 2018.
I realized that she was 52 years old when she passed away because her birth date is February 1, 1966. The Cormael website is no longer active, but I had information in my notes to corroborate her birth month.
The twin flame website I linked to above said she passed away in her sleep unexpectedly.
So, now I’m sure you can see why I’m mentioning this. When I found out that John O’ Donohue passed away in his sleep unexpectedly at the age of 52, I thought immediately about Cornelia. It was so synchronistic that 2 authors I adore and feel close to spiritually both died at the age of 52 in their sleep. When I found out about how her death matched Dr. O’ Donohue’s, it was very striking for me.
It may seem strange since I never met her, but I have been grieving Cornelia’s death because her scholarly writings meant so much to me. I truly miss them and they were a great inspiration to me. I’m glad her YouTube videos are still available, at least for now.
Cormael was one of my strongest inspirations to create this website for Robin.
I pray that Cornelia is experiencing the most beautiful afterlife imaginable with God, Michael, and the rest of her soul family. I will always be grateful for you. Thank you for your contributions.
It is important to me that I share this piece about Cormael with you.
I have learned so much and been so blessed as a result of writing this post. Thank you to God, Robin, P. Yogananda, and Dr. O’ Donohue for these blessings.
I hope you received great benefit from what I wrote about. I send you kindness.

In honor of Robin’s seven year anniversary of being in spirit, I wrote a guided meditation. It’s my way of showing I love and care about him on this day. It’s something I thought he would like and hopefully, you will like it too.
If you are interested in other ways to acknowledge the death anniversary of a loved one, you may enjoy this article.
I reflected on the beautiful, spiritual songs the Bee Gees created for their Still Waters CD.
Their CD title reminded me of Psalm 23, verses 1-3. The bold is mine for emphasis:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. (1)
For me, these are some of the most peaceful, healing words in print. It is comforting to know that the spirit of God and Love lead and guide us. I often turn to the green of nature to heal my heart and soul. I love turning to still waters for spiritual restoration.
So, the Bee Gees’ CD and Psalm 23:2 is the inspiration for this meditation. I dedicate it to Robin to bless his spirit on this important day of his soul’s evolution.
Still Waters Meditation by Christina Samuels
I would like to take you on a gentle journey of healing and love.
Feel free to pause when you see ellipses (…).
Find a quiet place where you can be with yourself. Sit in a cozy, comfortable chair where you can just sink in and relax while you read this. Or, you can lie down wherever is best for you.
Begin to slow down now by turning your attention to your breath. Inhale slowly through your nose and exhale quietly through your mouth…Take a few slow, long, soft breaths to center yourself in the present moment…allow everything else to stop so you can breathe and focus…close your eyes for a few moments to do this…
Continue to allow your mind and thoughts to quiet down…quiet your mind…inhale gently through your nose…exhale slowly through your mouth…letting your emotions come to a place of peacefulness…letting everything slow down into serenity…as you inhale, your belly slowly expands…as you exhale, it sinks down in repose…
It’s time for your body to gradually release its tensions…as you breath slowly and calmly, your forehead and eyes relax…your lips, jaw and entire face relaxes…relaxation now flows down into your neck, shoulders, arms and hands…as you breath slowly, your chest and abdomen soften and relax…relaxation continues to flow into your hips… legs… knees… ankles…feet…and toes…feeling calm, serene and relaxed all through your body…and deep into your soul…inner quiet and peace fill your entire being…resting in stillness.
Now, in your mind’s eye, envision a quiet, still pond…you have come here for solitude, peace and healing which the pond freely offers you…the water is calm, clear and bluish-green… There are beautiful trees nearby providing you with shade and coolness…healthy and vibrant willow, maple and oak trees…the temperature is perfect…a soft breeze caresses your face…you look up into the cloudless, blue sky and feel so serene…the sun is shining, warming your face and body…
There is soft, tall green grass all around the pond that bring a feeling of gentleness…you notice how lush and green everything is…the freshness and newness of nature…the healing energy is powerful here…you are absorbing this powerful, but peaceful healing energy…breathing it in to every cell in your body…
Now that you have become acquainted with the pond’s surroundings, you are drawn into its’ stillness…you want to get a little closer…you see a path in front of you that will take you to the pond’s edge…slowly walking down this path now…getting closer to the pond and the quietness it offers…
You see colorful wildflowers off to the side of the path…buttercups…daisies…and violets…you take a moment to touch the soft velvety petals of the flowers…you also see some fragrant wild lavender in bloom… pretty, purple blossoms…soft green leaves…you bend down to touch the leaves…rubbing them gently between your fingers…releasing the fragrance and essential oils…breathing the softness of the green, the beauty of the fragrance into your heart center…filling your heart with softness, gentleness, and good feelings…
The sweet birdsongs of robins, sparrows and finches keep you company…you are surrounded by beauty, peace and unconditional love…
You have now reached the edge of the pond…it is very appealing to your senses…and you take a moment to stand here… you feel deep tranquility…breathing slowly and deeply…inner peace fills you…you are being led beside the still, quiet waters…
You notice now that the path meanders around, following the edge of the pond…you feel guided to begin walking again…a slow, quiet stroll…the only movement you notice are cattails swaying slightly in the summer breeze… you enjoy the interplay of sunlight sparkling on the water…out of the corner of your eye, you see beautiful blue iris flowers…everything about this places makes you want to stay…your body is relaxed and your mind is peaceful…you are enfolded in a nurturing, loving spiritual presence…
You’ve walked a little way now…and you are approaching a bench just off to your right…it is placed just perfectly under a large shade tree…it is one of your favorite trees…you decide to sit down on this bench and take a rest now…
You look at the bench and notice how beautiful and artistic it is…it is made of wood with the most gorgeous mother-of-pearl inlay…it shimmers in blue, pink and purple hues…there is a floral and leaf pattern embedded all throughout the bench…this feels like a very special place, one that was created just for you beside the still waters…
Here, you can restore your soul…meditate on the still waters of the pond…rest your mind…let it soothe your emotions…continuing to breathe slowly and easily…rest your eyes…birds continuing to sing their melodic song for you…the scent of wildflowers wafting by…ease and peace in your soul…
The bench is comfortable…and you take the time to reflect on your relaxing experience at the pond today…you feel more balanced and centered…your heart is filled with the peace that passes all human understanding…
You have allowed the essence of nature, the quiet, still waters, to be a soothing, healing balm for your inner spirit…the water, birds, flowers, trees and sunlight all intermingling together to care for you…they are always here for you if you open your heart to receive healing…In this sanctuary, you are loved and accepted just as you are…
Take a few more moments just for yourself in quietness and stillness…
Your still waters journey has come to an end for now. Take a moment to slowly move your legs, feet and toes, your arms and fingers…gently stretching your arms overhead… If it feels good to you, you can give yourself a gentle hug, while inhaling slowly, exhaling completely…. Allow your eyes to open when you are ready…hold in your being the peace you have acquired on your journey…

Thank you, Robin, for an amazing seven years!
Love,
Christina
I have previously written about how my afterlife communication with Robin includes messages I receive on license plates.
It’s one of the more fun ways we communicate. I know lots of other people communicate in this way with their deceased loved ones. It reminds us that our loved ones are with us while we carry out our daily activities.
This post focuses on how I have seen Bee Gees’ song titles on license plates.
Staying Alive
On May 11, 2019, while I was driving home with my husband, I saw a car with a license plate that read STN ALIV. You can’t get much more Bee Gees than that! Stayin’ Alive is one of their most famous songs.
This article that I linked to is really good and I highly recommend it for some interesting history on this song and other Bee Gees’ songs.
My phone rings to this song as I mentioned before here, so it’s with me all of the time.
It was such a sweet gift. I’m always amazed at how Spirit places me at the right place at the right time to receive these messages. I know Robin was showing me he was with me in that moment. I always invite him to communicate with me and on this day, this is how he chose to do it. I thank Robin and Maurice for showing up in my life this way through God’s orchestration. It’s true that they are staying alive spiritually!
Since I saw this plate nine days before Robin’s passing date anniversary, I feel it is a very special message. I was able to take a picture of the plate because the car was directly in front of us. In other words, it was right in my face (and Julian’s)! As Robin once said about Americans:
They like to have things put smack bang in their faces.” (1)
I thought that was funny! Well, when it comes to afterlife communication with you Robin, yes, I do want things smack bang in my face, lol! Thank you very much!
I printed it and placed the framed picture on his altar to celebrate this amazing connection of our spirits. (I don’t want to put the picture here due to protecting the identity of the driver).
Altars are great places to recognize and honor the gifts we receive from our deceased loved ones. By including current spiritual gifts from loved ones on their altar, it keeps the energy of the altar fresh and active. It shows our loved one we are actively engaged with communicating with them. It also shows appreciation and a commitment to them that we care about them. With modern technology, it’s so great that we can capture signs from loved ones and treasure them as keepsakes.
It’s very important to me that I show appreciation for these spiritual signs of Robin’s presence. I want him to know they mean so much to me. I appreciate all the powers and forces of love that placed me there at that moment so my path could cross with this driver.
Hold Me
A few years ago, there was another time when a Bee Gees song showed up on a license plate, but I didn’t know it was a Bee Gees’ song at the time. I saw a plate that said, HOLD ME. All I could think of was the Fleetwood Mac song. But then I decided to do some research and see if the Bee Gees had a song with the same title. It turns out they do. This demo for Kenny Rogers is one of most hauntingly beautiful songs I have ever heard Barry Gibb sing.
Hold Me was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb.
It’s not always the most famous songs that have the greatest impact. This song gives me the chills and brings tears with the feeling it evokes. Here are the beautiful lyrics.
Twin Soul Questions
One of the greatest sore spots for me in my relationship with Robin is that I never got to meet him in person. His physical body is gone forever and I never got to see him or hold him.
Many people want to meet their twin soul, but twin soul relationships come with very challenging lessons. They are not all chocolates, wines and roses and they are not meant to be. They are meant to help us grow spiritually and that’s not always going to be easy.
My lesson is that if I want to commune with Robin, I have to go beyond the physical. I have to stretch. There’s no physical body to hold.
But I can reach his spirit. And he can reach mine. It has already been accomplished.
There are some important questions a person could ask oneself when considering this topic of twin souls residing in different planes of existence. I have asked myself these very questions and thought I would pose them here. It’s not meant to be a comprehensive list. It’s just some questions I thought of:
Since I know I share a twin soul connection with Robin, the answer is yes to these questions. Yes, I did want to know. I was the one calling for him in the first place when I woke up in 2012.
If your answers are “no” or a combination of “yes and no”, that is ok too. There is no right or wrong with this; it’s about how you authentically feel. If you don’t want to have this type of twin soul relationship, that is perfectly understandable. If your answers are “yes,” then your twin in spirit will likely do things to encourage the connection and help you along. I consider seeing a license plate that says, STN ALIV a form of encouragement! It’s really fun and cool too!
Compensation
I once asked God if there was any compensation for not having met Robin. The answer is yes.
There is merciful compensation, which serves as consolation, for not having met. It comes in the form of all the communications I have received. God responded in my heart with the following message:
“Your compensation for not having met Robin is all of the messages, the synchronicities, the direct answers to your questions, the telekinesis, the license plates, the times your husband delivered a message. Your compensation is that you have strong intuition, a faith-based belief in the afterlife, and some developed psychic abilities which enable you to communicate with him.”
“Your compensation is your ability to write and document these experiences so you can refer back to them for your edification. Your compensation is your ability to read about him and hear him sing because you have been blessed with eyesight and excellent hearing. What if you didn’t have that?”
“Christina, you have been very well compensated.”
I agree that all of this is compensation. I am very grateful for God’s mercy in this situation with Robin.
I’m also grateful for quotes like this one that get me back on track when I need a little boost. It is from a book called, Letters from the Spirit World (2). This book is available as a free e-book if you are interested. Click here for the free e-book made available on google.com. At this link, you can also see the excerpt I am referring to on page 314.
I like spiritualist writing from the early 1900’s. Our understanding of soul mates and twin souls may have changed and evolved quite a bit since then, but I still think these writers have valuable things to say. When I read this passage pertaining to the law of soul mates, I am immediately uplifted as I am reminded of the immortality of our souls:
“The law of soul mates does not pertain to the earth at all. It does not matter whether they ever meet on earth or not…”
“— and whether they meet or not is unimportant considering the eons of ages of immortality and eternity…”
Considering that we have all of eternity to connect, not meeting in one lifetime is not a big deal, even though it may hurt at the time. I hope this is comforting to others who did not meet their twin soul mate in this lifetime. I think this is important to know given that many twin souls and spiritual soul mates do not meet. Remember that we are eternal. You will see them again.
This remembrance serves as additional compensation. I need this for my own healing.
The compensation also comes in the form of dream visitations.
Dream Hugs
I have had several dream visits over the years where I have held Robin. I have had two recent dreams, one April 20th and one April 25th.
In the dream on April 20th, he was young, in his late 20’s with long, wavy hair. We hugged and he felt skinny, like he would have if we hugged in the physical because he was thin. The thing is, I could really feel his body. That was beautiful and comforting compensation.
In this dream, he let me play with his hair. I made little curls with my fingers and the curls stayed in place. I don’t think he wanted me to, but he let me anyway, lol!
So, when I read this line from Hold Me:
You can play in my dreams till I’m out of your sight…
I feel it really came true.
On May 12, I wrote this note to Robin in my journal:
“I can still feel you in my dreams when we hug, so the physical sensations, while in non-physical form, carry over. Physical sensations carry over after death and can manifest in dream communication. The dreamer can still feel the deceased loved one physically.”
Through my intuition, I could feel Robin saying to me:
“Christina, that part of me, the part of me where you can feel me as physical sensation is not gone.”
Physical sensation, or the impression of such, still seems to be part of who we are after we pass away. It’s a beautiful discovery.
In the dream visit I shared with Robin on April 25th, he was singing with a crowd close by, off to his right. Then I spoke with him afterward. At this point, the dream image shifted and we were standing in a room in my current house. He looked like he did when he was in his 30’s with blond hair, similar to the picture here in the upper left corner.
We hugged and I said to him that he did a great job. It was a brief encounter but felt very real, like I was there with him.
We can still hug and hold each other during dream visits. Robin co-wrote Hold Me, so along with his brothers, these lyrics came from his soul. Due to the amazing way in which God created us as spirits, and because of the love we share, I can say, “Yes, I will hold you…in my dreams.”
