Afterlife Communication: Levine Synchronicity

For this post, I have a powerful afterlife communication synchronicity and life parallel with Robin to share with you.

In 2012, I was just getting to know who Robin was as a professional singer and a person. I spent time looking at different pictures of him over the years to see what he was like at different stages.

Steve Levine

On September 3, 2012, I emailed to myself four photos of Robin that I wanted to keep. Later in the day when I looked at the email of the photos I sent to myself, I noticed that one said “© Steve Levine-2005” in the bottom left hand corner. I was surprised because I hadn’t noticed it before in the flurry of looking at so many pictures. There are only a million or so pictures of him online, lol! Also, the print was a little small.

All joking aside, this was very important to me. I thought to myself that Robin and I have a “Steve Levine” connection because one of my favorite authors is Stephen Levine.

Stephen Levine

The late Stephen Levine (1937-2016), has been very important in my life. He was one of the world’s most beloved grief counselors.  Even though I never met him, he felt like a father figure to me.

I have had a very strong connection to Stephen Levine’s writings since 1993 when I was studying clinical psychology. A colleague of mine introduced me to his books. He wrote in a way I had never seen before. I found him incredibly insightful on a personal and professional level.

When I first met my husband, we read Healing into Life and Death together. I shared with Julian how important this book was to me. It was helping me to touch the painful areas in my life with loving kindness instead of fear. He listened and even made some notes in my book when we had first started dating.

I mentioned in my Background section, how I had a ceremony for Robin on June 8, 2012 and read from this book.

Here is some more information about Stephen Levine from Wikipedia:

Grief Work

One of the most significant aspects of Stephen’s work, and one for which he was perhaps best known, was his pioneering approach to working with the experience of grief. Over 34 years, Stephen and his wife Ondrea counseled concentration camp survivors and their children, Vietnam War veterans as well as victims of sexual abuse.[7]

 

Although Stephen acknowledged that our experience of grief is perhaps at its most intense when a loved one dies, he also drew our attention to grief’s more subtle incarnations. “Our ordinary, everyday grief” accumulates as a response to the “burdens of disappointments and disillusionment, the loss of trust and confidence that follows the increasingly less satisfactory arch of our lives.”[8]

 

In order to avoid feeling this grief we “armor our hearts,” which leads to a gradual deadening of our experience of the world[9] When a loved one dies, or indeed when our own death approaches, the intensity of the loss often renders our defenses ineffective and we are swept up by a deluge of griefs, both old and new.

So, on September 3, 2012, I pondered how Robin had a photographer named Steve Levine and how I was connected to beloved author and counselor Stephen Levine. It was a nice parallel.

Levine Synchronicity

Right after I was done looking at his photos and logging off of my email, I decided to watch a video on YouTube called BBC Learning-Previous Lives. It is a documentary about reincarnation, past life regression therapy and past life research. I had never seen it before.

As I watched the video, I received one of the more shocking synchronicities I had experienced with Robin at that time. It’s still one of the strongest communications I have ever been given and is very meaningful to me.

At approximately 7:00 in to the video, an ear, nose and throat doctor named Dr. Steven Levine appeared on the screen. Here is a screen shot of the video:

This was an incredible, amazing synchronicity that truly made me feel very connected to and one with Robin. I felt a little bit like I was in the twilight zone with this one. This synchronicity occurred about 3 ½ months after Robin’s passing. At that point, I did not know we were twin souls, so I was thinking, “What is this thing with Robin?” My husband was freaked out by this as well and thought it was kind of spooky, lol!

I had Steve, Stephen and Steven Levine show up all within a matter of minutes of each other either in my thoughts or on the screen in front of me. The timing of these events in close proximity with each other is everything and what makes it so remarkable.

In that moment, my twin soul connection with Robin manifested in the fact that we are both connected to men named Steve or Stephen Levine. The documentary with Dr. Steven Levine brought it all together, strongly emphasizing this connection.

Levine Grief Work

Steve and Stephen Levine were/are both connected to the issue of grief and doing something to heal it

I already reviewed the Stephen associated with me.

The Steve associated with Robin, Steve Levine, is a music producer who produced the song, Grief Never Grows Old for the One World Project created to raise money for the 2004 Asian Tsunami relief effort.

After all these years, I found out about this association of Steve Levine with the song, Grief Never Grows Old on August 17, 2019. When I first saw this picture of Robin in 2012, I thought he was Robin’s photographer and never looked into it any more.

It was only when I decided to write this blog post and do a lot more research on Steve Levine that I found out about how he does not only have a similar name to Stephen Levine. Both are associated with the topic of grief. The matching is truly incredible.

It just goes to show you how multi-layered afterlife communication can be. It could potentially take years before you get the complete message your loved one in spirit wants to convey. But, time is not a factor for Robin so I imagine he thought, “She’ll get the full message some day!”

Yes, Robin, I finally got it!

Reincarnation

Since the “Levine synchronicity” occurred through the context of a documentary on reincarnation, I think it was meant to get me to think more about this. I certainly believe reincarnation is possible, even highly likely, but I don’t understand how it really works. It seems a bit confusing to me to have 1000’s of incarnations on Earth, which is what some cultures believe.

I will continue to study different perspectives and I intend to keep learning more. At this time, I have no conscious recollection of any past lives I may have had. I do think it is possible that my current connection with Robin has its roots in a connection we shared during a previous incarnation. But once again, I have no idea what that is.

As far as reincarnating after this current lifetime I’m in, I honestly have to say that I have no interest in coming back to Earth until and unless it is the New Earth. If I have a say in the matter, I would rather incarnate in a place much more loving, harmonious and peaceful than Earth is at this time.

This is my point of view because I have Christian roots. I do not impose my beliefs on any reader. If you don’t share or agree with this perspective on the New Earth, I respect that and understand. People of many different faiths and backgrounds could be reading this and I don’t want to alienate anyone. I respect and have an interest in a lot of different spiritual perspectives as I mentioned in this post.

One World

Another important connection related to this that I also share with Robin is with the theme of “One World.” For many, many years, I have owned a One World poster by Putumayo. It is the cover art for the CD.

I cherish it for the message of unity and diversity. I had this long before I met Robin in spirit in 2012. It was so long ago, I don’t remember where or when I bought it. It makes me feel like we were on the same wavelength even while we did not consciously know each other.

He was involved in the One World Project and I owned a One World Poster. I love that the theme of music is common to both.

It’s interesting for me to think about how Robin could “see” this poster hanging on the wall in my apartment in Colorado, which is where he first met me in 2012. I’ll bet he knew about this “One World” connection we shared long before I did. I don’t know exactly when I found out about the One World Project, but when I did, I immediately made the connection.

Conclusion

Twin soul synchronicity is very profound, especially when it is new to you and especially when you don’t know exactly what is going on and why. That is how I felt when I received this message. It led me into a much deeper and evolving journey of discovery in terms of the nature of my connection with Robin.

I have built a narrative on this website showing my spiritual connection to Robin. So, I hope you can see why, by December of 2012, I was asking in prayer if Robin is my twin soul.

The “Levine synchronicity” is one of many situations that led me to ask for an answer to this question. It was a lot to figure out on my own, so I sought help from God, which for me, is the best place to look for help.

I did not know anyone I could trust in the physical world who could assist me and who would not judge me. So, I am always grateful to God and Robin for making the truth of our connection so clear. That was smack-bang in my face!

Afterlife Dreams: I Can Hear You

I have been having so much fun writing about my experiences with Robin because of whom he is now as a spirit.

You can’t keep a good man down, even after he’s passed away. The death of his physical body did not end Robin’s existence. He has carried on being beautiful, amazing and creative just as he was when embodied. He still has so much to teach us. While we are learning, we can enjoy his music!

In some of my recent posts, I have mentioned that I have been looking in my journals for an entry on a dream I had about Robin. I cannot find the entry at this time, but I remember the dream by heart. I don’t remember exactly what year and month it took place, but I guess it really doesn’t matter too much. I know it occurred quite a while ago. The dream was brief but very powerful. I would like to share it with you now from memory.

Dream Communication

One day years ago, I was tired and needed an afternoon nap. At this point in my relationship with Robin, I was talking with him on a regular basis. So, as I lay down in bed to go to sleep, I told him that I was tired. I feel asleep. Then my dream occurred:

I saw Robin sitting at a long table. There was a woman sitting to his right. I do not know who she is. He looked like he did when he was in his 30’s, with short blond hair. (Similar to how he looks here).

 

Robin spoke to the woman and said, “She’s tired.” He was talking about me.

 

I was not in the dream, but looking at the two of them from the perspective of standing in front of them.

That was the end of the dream.

Even though it was brief, it had a very strong impact on me. I was stunned because Robin was making it clear to me that he telepathically heard what I said to him before I fell asleep. He repeated back to me what I had said to him. I was amazed. He not only heard me…he let me know that he had heard me.

It is visitation dreams like this which led me to develop a very close connection with Robin over time. How could I not feel a deep connection with him? He was opening up a whole new world to me that I had never experienced before. I had never communicated so directly with someone in the afterlife.

Beginning in 2012, I had incredible dreams about and synchronicity concerning Robin, but only after his death. It would be natural for anyone in my position to start asking some serious questions about what was going on.  I was amazed that I could reach him and that he would actually respond back to me, especially in this manner, through dreams.

So, given that he responded to me in such a direct manner, it led me to start asking questions and making statements, such as:

  • “How is it that you can hear me?”
  • “What is the mechanism by which you can hear me?”
  • “I know you’re energy light, but how can energy light hear without human ears?”
  • “You are more than energy light. You are intelligent energy light with the ability to comprehend what is being said.”

I did some research on this and would like to share a short literature review now that may shed some light on these questions.

How Can Deceased Loved Ones Hear Us? A Brief Literature Review

Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda

Those of you aligned with a yogic science perspective may enjoy this first possible explanation.

The first source I would like to share is Autobiography of a Yogi. In Chapter 43, The Resurrection of Sri Yukteswar, there is a discussion of the senses that loved ones in the astral world still experience. Here is an excerpt. The emphasis in bold is mine:

“The astral body is an exact counterpart of the last physical form. Astral beings retain the same appearance which they possessed in youth in their previous earthly sojourn; occasionally an astral being chooses, like myself, to retain his old age appearance.” Master, emanating the very essence of youth, chuckled merrily. (1)

 

“Unlike the spacial, three-dimensional physical world cognized only by the five senses, the astral spheres are visible to the all-inclusive sixth sense-intuition,” Sri Yukteswar went on. “By sheer intuitional feeling, all astral beings see, hear, smell, taste, and touch… (1)

 

…Astral beings have all the outer sensory organs-ears, eyes, nose, tongue, and skin-but they employ the intuitional sense to experience sensations through any part of the body; they can see through the ear, or nose, or skin. They are able to hear through the eyes or tongue, and can taste through the ears or skin, and so forth.4 (1)

I think this is fascinating. What I take away from this is that hearing, for a person in spirit, is very much an intuitive function. It seems that the intuitive abilities we have while alive in the physical greatly expand after our passing.

According to Paramahansa Yogananda, intuition is of the soul, not of the mind. After we pass away, we cannot use our human brain and senses anymore. But that is where our spiritual intuition takes over in greater measure to help us perceive in a completely different way through our deeper feeling nature:

Intuition is that directly perceiving faculty of the soul which at once knows the truth about something, without the help of the senses or the mind.

I also think this quote below answers very well why we can still hear after we pass away. We are not our bodies, but divine consciousness. I hypothesize that it is through this consciousness that we can see and hear our loved ones on Earth after we pass away:

“I am not the breath; I am not the body, neither bones nor flesh. I am not the mind or feeling. I am That which is behind the breath, body, mind, and feeling.” When you go beyond the consciousness of this world, knowing that you are not the body or the mind, and yet aware as never before that you exist — that divine consciousness is what you are. You are That in which is rooted everything in the universe.

Tibetan Buddhist Perspective

According to The Venerable Thubten Chodron of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, after the physical body of a person dies, the person enters into a bardo state. This is a half-way point or stage in which, as I understand it, you are a bardo being and in-between lives or incarnations.

Furthermore, according to this tradition, bardo beings are clairvoyant and can read living people’s minds as explained in The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche:

Remember, the clairvoyant consciousness of the person in the bardo of becoming is seven times clearer than in life. This can bring them either great suffering or great benefit. (2)

I would also like to quote The Venerable Thubten Chodron, who adds an important piece to this discussion:

The bardo being may come around and go back to their house, or go back to where they were. But bardo beings can’t communicate with people. They try to, and they get really frustrated, because nobody listens. They have clairvoyance and they can read the people’s minds. Sometimes what they see is not so nice and they get really horrified by it. Which is why after somebody dies, it’s important to keep a good attitude. (3)

I like this quote for the information it is imparting to us. Many of our deceased loved ones are trying to reach us, but they find that some of us don’t listen. It could also be that loved ones on Earth do not know how to interpret the messages they are being given.

Or, they may be frightened by the messages. Even though it’s beautiful, afterlife communication is a lot to get used to especially when it comes to methods of contact like telekinesis for example.

Through my writing, I am showing Robin that I am listening and paying attention. I know he knows that, but I want to say this here. It’s important to let your loved ones in spirit know that you get it, that you care, love them, and believe in them. We have to remember that where they are, we will be someday.

Through this website, I hope to encourage others to listen to their loved ones in spirit and to learn their language. Their language includes things I have been writing about on this website, such as dreams, synchronicity and telekinesis. The abilities of our deceased loved ones to perceive and comprehend what we are saying and doing may be much stronger and greater than we realize at times.

It may be that deceased loved ones can “hear” people who are alive in physical bodies by virtue of reading our minds. Perhaps Robin knew I was tired because he was close by and reading my mind which I expressed out loud though my words. To me, it seemed like he heard me, and maybe he did through the channels mentioned by Paramahansa Yogananda. He could have also been reading my mind with his clairvoyant abilities. It’s definitely something to think about!

Near-Death Experience Research

Due to advances in medical science, we are in a time when experiences of people dying and then coming back to life are well-documented. The Near-Death Experience (NDE) literature can give us incredible clues about how our deceased loved ones can still hear us.

In the book, Lesson from the Light by Kenneth Ring, a woman named Peggy shares a spiritual experience she had many years after suffering a serious head injury due to a car accident. According to Dr. Ring, this experience appears to be a partial memory of a NDE that she had previously been unaware of. The memory was triggered 13 years later as a result of her being in situations that were similar to those that occurred on the day of her accident.

I would like to share this brief excerpt of her experience which I feel is extremely relevant to our current discussion:

In this place, whatever it is, I did not have the limited consciousness I have on earth. It felt like I had 125 senses to our normal five. You could do, think, comprehend, and so on, you name it, with no effort at all…(4)

This perspective seems to align with the one mentioned above in Autobiography of a Yogi. After we pass away, we are not limited to five senses. The awareness of this can occur during a NDE. We are very fortunate that there are people who come back to life and are willing to share their stories that contribute to our knowledge of what our abilities are after death.

It seems to me that out of 125 senses, at least one of those would enable a deceased loved one to be able to hear us when we speak to them. And not just hear us, but respond back to us intelligently as Robin has done over the years since his passing. The response back can be telepathically in the dream visitation state, through synchronicity or other creative ways a loved one might come up with. The response will be well-suited to the person they want to reach on Earth.

Additional evidence that people can hear conversations after being pronounced dead can be found here in this article. People have shared their stories of being able to hear after coming back to life in the physical body.

This article reviews biological explanations that could account for a person’s ability to hear conversations right around the time of death. But it does not address how spirits like Robin and his twin brother Maurice can still hear and communicate many years after their death, long after there is no longer any brain activity.

Maurice passed away in 2003. Nine years later in 2012, he let me know he was well aware of what I asked Robin for in terms of a sign. (Please see this post for more information).

Conclusion

For me, what it comes down to is that we are not the wonderful bodies we use as vehicles. We are eternal souls, eternal beings of light that we cannot fully comprehend while in physical bodies.

As spirits or divine beings of light, we live on after the death of our body. We have incredible abilities including clairvoyance and the ability to comprehend what someone in a different dimension is saying.

We potentially have the ability to move objects in the physical world to get a loved one’s attention. We can synchronize with people on earth that we care about and we can show up in their dreams.

This is what Robin is teaching us and I’m so grateful to be able to share this with you.

Since Robin was a very gifted singer, songwriter and composer, most people might not think of him as a spiritual teacher and guide. However, that is exactly what he is now and he showed signs of being a spiritual teacher while embodied. (See his meditation video here).

This website could easily be called, Paisley and Poppies: The Afterlife Teachings of Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees. I directly ask Robin to share his teachings with me.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Hurricane Aftermath

Hurricane Aftermath

I hope all of my readers around the world are well. If any of you are affected by Hurricane Dorian or any other typhoon or hurricane during this active tropical season, I hope you make it through well. My heart goes out to you.

I was in the “cone” for awhile, but Hurricane Dorian did not hit my area. I am heartbroken for the people of the Bahamas and the devastation they endured.

I had the good fortune to vacation in Freeport many years ago. I want to acknowledge all that the beautiful people there are going through and will be going through for a long time to come.

Our love and compassion is greatly needed. Lots of support will be needed there for relief and recovery. This is the time for brotherly and sisterly love and to help if we can.

I have been through many hurricanes including Fran, Frances, Jeanne, Wilma, and Irma. I evacuated for Frances and Irma, so I am well seasoned with this situation. As I am writing this on September 3rd, Hurricane Dorian is still churning off the east coast of Florida, hopefully sparing residents any sort of damage.

But, I have never experienced what our brothers and sisters in the Bahamas just experienced from Dorian. It brings tears to my eyes to see what has happened. The trauma hits on every level.

Given the current situation, I thought I would briefly honor how the Bee Gees supported relief and recovery efforts for another powerful hurricane, Hurricane Andrew. Robin was very familiar with the destruction hurricanes can bring.

As you know, the Bee Gees had homes in Miami Beach at the time Hurricane Andrew went through. For this short post, I wanted to share how they had kind, loving hearts and participated in Hurricane Andrew relief efforts including concerts.

I would like to start by thanking all readers and new subscribers for visiting me here!

For this post, I would like to update you on my progress with breast cancer recovery and how writing plays a role. I am also going to share how afterlife communication with Robin helps me cope and how it brings a strong ray of light into my life to help see me through. For any of you that are my sisters in breast cancer survivorship and recovery, I’m sure you will be able to relate.

Benefits of Writing

It is very therapeutic for cancer survivors to write about our experiences. I also like to share the educational information I have learned and hope it is helpful to someone who may need it.

If you wonder why I write so much, this very good article by Amber Bauer explains why. Here is a brief excerpt:

Early research into the benefits of expressive writing for people with cancer found that women with breast cancer who wrote about their deepest thoughts and feelings reported the fewest symptoms and had the fewest unscheduled visits to their doctors.

Writing is great medicine. It doesn’t only have to be writing about cancer-related issues though. I have found writing here on this website to be extremely therapeutic because I have a platform to write about the things I’m most passionate about.

Writing is good for my life force energy because it is creative, helps me release thoughts and feelings that I have bottled up and also gives me the opportunity to benefit others. I love making my contribution to the literature on afterlife communication and twin souls and I love sharing how amazing Robin is as a Spirit. It brings me great joy and joy is vitally important in recovery.

Most Recent Mammogram

On August 7, 2019, I had my second post-surgery diagnostic mammogram. My first one was in February which I wrote about here.

The mammogram showed that I’m still in very good shape. There is no evidence of malignancy. I have some benign calcifications, but my surgeon is not worried about them because she said they are likely due to my radiation treatment.

She reviewed the imaging report with me which showed the calcifications are scattered, not clustered, within my breasts. When calcifications are scattered, that is more indicative of a benign underlying process being the cause of the calcifications. Therefore, a biopsy is not needed.

I have a great surgeon that I love and that is very important when going through recovery. When going through breast cancer recovery, it is very important to have a doctor that will sit down with you and take the time to go over your mammogram results thoroughly, to your satisfaction, without rushing you. I come prepared to my appointments with a list of questions if I have concerns, which I usually do. Most of my concerns at this point are about preventing recurrence.

I am categorized as BIRADS 3 which means I am required to have short-term follow up in 6 months to make sure there are no changes in the breast tissue. BIRADS is the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System used in the United States to describe mammogram findings.

It is customary for breast cancer survivors to be followed very closely for the first two years after the initial diagnosis. I am recovering from Stage 1A breast cancer; and I’m grateful for the close follow-up. It is anxiety-provoking to get the mammograms, but it’s a necessary part of the recovery journey.

Also, the BIRADS 3 category caused me anxiety at first with the “probably benign” language. But my doctor reassured me that I was given that category primarily because I need short-term follow-up, meaning a mammogram every 6 months for the next upcoming year.

If you have any concerns about your BIRADS category following your mammogram, I would suggest that you talk with your doctor so you are not unnecessarily worried about what it means. They can break it down for you in terms of what it means for you in your individual case.

I am doing everything I can to prevent a recurrence. I am at a healthy weight, I take my hormonal therapy medication, exercise (either walking, biking or yoga), meditate, do guided relaxation exercises and limit my exposure to the news as I find it too traumatic.

Afterlife Communication is Spiritual Support from Beyond

While I have been going through all of these challenges with my recovery, I have been blessed with communications from Robin. I also benefit from reading my journals I’ve kept over the years, documenting my experiences with him. Sometimes, I can’t believe how much time has gone by. When I read my journal entries from 2012 and 2013, I’m always surprised at how close my bond was with Robin in such a short amount of time.

The other night, I read an entry from February 13, 2013. During that time, I was living in Colorado. This was an entry that I had completely forgotten about. I wrote about how on the day before, I saw a license plate that read, “HULLIS,” while we were out driving. As soon as I saw this entry again, all the feelings I had at that moment came back. I was so amazed at the time because “Hullis” is Robin’s first wife’s maiden name.

I remember feeling so shocked that I saw that plate because what are the chances that I would have been in the same place at the same time as this car? Pretty slim, I think. It was an amazing sign that pointed directly to Robin. I have never seen a license plate with this name on it since.

At this time in 2013, I was already beginning to accept that we were twin souls. From this communication I learned that the messages were not always going to be about Robin specifically. Sometimes, the messages I received were about people Robin had been connected to. So, if you are experiencing a twin soul connection, it’s possible that you will receive messages related to something or someone important to them.

It is so wonderful to be able to go back and read my journals where I documented what I experienced with Robin 6 or more years ago. One of the best things you can do for yourself, if you are engaged in afterlife communication, is to keep a journal. You will be so glad you did. I can say for myself that when I go back and read them, I feel an infusion of energy because I am brought back to the moment in time in which a synchronicity or message occurred. It is exciting, it’s healing and it’s life-enhancing.

Past Journal Entries Sync with Current Life Events

A lot of times when I go back and read my journals from 2012, my old writings will sync up with something going on in my life at the current time. For example, a couple of days ago, my husband and I were watching videos on YouTube about Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It’s a place we’ve always wanted to go.

Well, later that same night, I felt guided to read through my journals again because I was looking for an entry on a dreaAfterlife Communicationsm I had about Robin years ago. I could not find the entry for the dream, but I found an entry where I wrote about a woman I met in a workshop who was from Holland! The city of Amsterdam is in the province of North Holland. So that was a nice synchronicity and a nice moment where I felt very connected to Robin.

I did not remember this entry at all because it was so long ago. So, it was such a nice surprise that what I wrote about all those years ago matched what I was doing that very day.

To me, that’s Robin’s way of showing me that he’s with me because in the journals, I am writing to him. It gives me great happiness when I receive synchronicity like this and that’s why I feel the communications with Robin are a ray of light from an Incarnation of Divine Beauty! That is exactly what he is. I think his fans will agree! I need an incarnation of beauty around to keep my spirits up, lol! 🙂

October Life Parallel

Some time ago, I found out that the last day of the Bee Gees’ Spirits Having Flown tour was October 6, 1979. They were awesome during that tour and I love being able to see the videos now. I love the ‘70s!

October 6 is my birthday, so I felt a special connection with Robin around this date. It made me feel close to him and happy to discover this as this was a huge tour for him and his brothers. It’s the little things like this that are really big things that cause twin souls to bond.

So, when I feel I like I need a little boost during my recovery, I go back to this Wikipedia page and reflect on how we both share something important on October 6th. I turned 13 on that day in 1979. Robin was still 29 years old at that time, but would turn 30 on December 22, 1979.

It’s fun going down memory lane.

As much as I’m sure he enjoyed the tour, I later learned from my Bee Gees book that it’s possible Robin may have been glad, in some ways, when the tour ended. I don’t know for sure, but here are some excerpts illuminating this idea:

But Robin pointed out that, “For all intents and purposes, this tour is like being in prison.” The group were whisked into limousines after each concert and deposited 10 yards from their tour plane after each night’s concert. (1)

 

Any thought of leading any sort of a normal life on the road was hastily dismissed as too much trouble. “To go out and buy a shirt would require two hours planning for logistics and security,” Robin claimed. (2)

So, October 6th could have been significant for him because it marked the end of a very successful, but grueling tour. I can see how that could have been difficult for him. It’s important to realize that these tours and concerts that we enjoy so much as fans are really hard work for the artists and their crew. That’s why I feel fame is a double-edged sword. Still, Robin was doing exactly what he was meant to do and was well compensated. The world is better for his music being in it.

In this post, I express some of my personal beliefs about soul families and twin souls based on my own experiences. Some of my beliefs are also based on good materials I have read. I have read lots of information over the years and started to notice certain patterns in the writings that began to match or reveal a sort of internal consistency.

During my journey with Robin, I have never allowed other people or writers to tell me what the twin soul connection is for me personally. I have always had an independent streak and often choose to follow the road less traveled and figure things out for myself. So, I don’t allow others to define it for me.

Yes, I do take their ideas and opinions into consideration and have embraced many points of view along the way that I respect. But when it comes down to it, what I believe is determined by what I have been given personally by Spirit and my own experiences. That is the foundation of what I write about here on this website.

Soul Families and Twin Souls: Areas of Disagreement

Much of what I have come to accept about soul families comes from the work of the late Dr. Michael Newton who wrote Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls.

I like that he did actual between-lives research to come to his conclusions about characteristics of and relationships between souls. Even though he rejected the concept of twin souls and used the term primary soul mate instead, I still respect his work and have greatly benefited from it even though I disagree with him.

I do not believe he had the final say or word on twin souls, as good as his research was. I respectfully disagree with his complete rejection of the twin soul concept especially given that some of my favorite honorable teachers such as Hazrat  Inayat Khan and Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov both wrote about twin souls.

Dr. Newton had problems with the twin soul theory, which you can read about here.

The elements of twin soul theory that he did not like, such as souls being divided in two and meeting only when on their last incarnations are also aspects of the theory that I do not believe are written in stone.

If you are interested in this topic, you can Google, “twin souls meet on last incarnation,” and you will see a lot.

I do not necessarily agree that twin souls meet only when on their last incarnation. Maybe they do, maybe they don’t depending on the people involved. Presupposing that you do believe in reincarnation, how are we supposed to know for absolute sure when we are on our last incarnation anyway? I have read about and met some people who knew in their hearts that they are on their last incarnation. I can’t say the same thing. I have no idea if I’m on my last incarnation or how many I have had. I’m too busy being focused on this one.

The circumstances under which twin souls meet can vary greatly depending on the souls involved. It seems too limiting to me to say that they meet only when on their last incarnation. We are eternal beings. What if we could benefit from meeting each other long before our last incarnation on Earth? I don’t know where this idea came from exactly but it seems a little rigid to me so I question it.

As far as souls being divided in two, this is the quintessential definition of twin souls that is woven all throughout the literature. However, I don’t agree with this completely either.

I believe souls have male and female aspects because it ties into our identity as humans. But I don’t believe that souls are divided into a 50/50 split of half male and half female because we all have male and female within us.

On this website, I like to include different ideas about twin souls from authors all around the world. Sylvia Browne, in her book The Other Side and Back, describes what a true soul mate is to her. I think it is an interesting perspective and here it is:

…We are created with spirits that have both male and female aspects…

 

…We are also created with an “identical twin” spirit whose male and female aspects are essentially mirror images of our own. That twin spirit is our soul mate… (1)

From this point of view, each of us as spirits are a blend of both male and female energies, not split down the middle into one or the other. That personally makes more sense to me.

So, when it comes to twin souls, it depends on what someone means by the phrase, “twin souls.” Different people define it in different ways. That’s the way it is and you can see it all throughout the literature on twin souls. I could research twin souls right now and find 10 different variations for the same concept. That made it very difficult for someone like me who in 2012, knew nothing about this and had no one to talk to.

Still Learning

I don’t have all of the answers about twin soul connections and will never claim to. I’m just a twin soul student sharing my experiences. Just because I connected with Robin’s spirit does not mean that all of the knowledge of the heavens regarding soul connections opened up and descended upon me, lol! I don’t know anything about starseeds, merkabas, DNA activation, templates and upgrades I’ve seen some people write about over the years when it comes to twin flames.

When I read some of this material in the early days of my connection with Robin, I have to admit that I had no idea what the authors were talking about. At this time, I don’t see how these concepts apply directly to my particular connection with Robin. So, I will not be writing about these topics on this website as I don’t have anything valuable to contribute along these lines.

Maybe my writing is not “twin flamey” enough for some, but if it’s not, I can suggest other thoughtful websites that go into these topics. I enjoy reading Cassady Cayne’s twin flame story. She discovered her twin flame in spirit as well which you can read about here. She writes about starseeds here too. It’s very interesting.

There’s so much information and misinformation about twin souls that it’s easy to feel confused. It’s like learning a whole new language and honestly, I don’t feel connected to a lot of it.

In some ways my twin soul connection with Robin still feels new to me. I’m still learning and always will be until I leave this plane of existence. I have some answers that I feel apply to me personally. All I can share with you is what I have experienced directly. Other people experiencing twin soul connections could have experiences similar to mine or some that are completely different. Twin soul connections are actually quite heterogeneous.

Seeking and Receiving Answers

When I asked God the question about whether Robin is my twin flame soul mate and asked for the Big Dipper as the sign, I was searching for an answer and seeking reasons why I was synchronizing so strongly with Robin. I was seeking answers about why I was having such powerful dreams about him (and Maurice) and such a strong pull to his energy.

Basically, I was learning about twin souls and afterlife communication all at the same time which was quite a lot. But I absolutely loved it, as I still do today and I welcomed the experience.

I received the answer when I asked as I mentioned in my Background section and have been given continuous validation ever since. It’s been a long process for me of truly accepting this truth about Robin and me in my heart. Being given the sign of the Big Dipper was in December of 2012 and it was just the beginning for me in terms of my connection with Robin. It evolved into a much deeper otherworldly connection over time. My trust in our connection also evolved and strengthened.

I believe I was given so much validation and had so many visitations because I needed it. I needed more because we did not know each other in this life. I did not want to believe anything about him that was not true. I’m a straight-forward type of person, not prone to fantasy. With me, it’s either true that we have an authentic heart connection or it isn’t and I don’t have time to play around with something that’s not real or authentic based in true spiritual love.

It’s ok to have boundaries and to speak your truth with your loved ones in spirit. They can do the same with you as well.

Spiritual love is transcendent and penetrates the veil which seemingly separates us from our loved ones in spirit. I believe it is at the core of what enables us to communicate across dimensions.

Twin Soul Connections: Alternative Explanations

How do souls become twin souls in the first place? I don’t know for sure, so I ponder different possibilities.

Perhaps souls are nearly identical to each other because they were created that way at the beginning, not necessarily because of soul splitting. Or perhaps they became nearly identical to each other as a result of spending lots of time together during incarnations or between lives where we have multiple shared common experiences.

In some ways, don’t you become more like the people you spend the most time with? Not in every way of course, but I have noticed in my own life that the more I spend time with a certain person, the more I start to adopt some of their traits and the more they start to adopt some of mine, for better or for worse. I believe the same thing could be true for us as spirits in our disembodied state. We become more like the spirits we love and are with a lot, in terms of vibration, light, color and sound.

Perhaps in the spirit world, Robin was a spirit that I was with a lot, but I don’t remember any details on a conscious level. Sometimes I think I’m experiencing a deeply lodged, soul memory of a “time” I did spend with Robin, in some other place or dimension, but just don’t remember exactly what it was. I feel very close to him.

I put time in quotes because according to some things I’ve read over the years, in the spirit world, time is no longer a factor. But I can’t think of any other way to describe this right now.

Sometimes, I feel he remembered and recognized me as well and that is why he came back to communicate with me. Since we are soul family members, it would make complete sense that we would remember each other on some level.

The fact that we met after his death speaks to a very strong soul mate connection that I know we share in the spirit world. It is a connection I have been exploring since 2012. It evolved and strengthened enough over the years to give me the courage to finally begin writing about our connection more openly.

Do We All Have a Twin?

Does everyone have a twin soul? Some people say yes, some say no. Some say twin souls are rare, some say they are common. My honest answer is I don’t know because I’ve never been given any information about this directly. So, I’m not going to commit to a definitive answer at this time. Sorry I can’t be of much help in this area.

Why are there so many discrepancies in this topic? There are so many polarizing viewpoints with the topic of twin souls. I’ve never seen anything like it.

One possible reason is that not everyone knows about this concept. It’s possible that you could have a twin soul and just not know it yet. It took me until age 45 to even find out about twin souls. I had only heard about soul mates. Amongst the people in my life from my childhood to my 40’s, I had never been around anyone talking about twin souls. So, someone could think they don’t have a twin soul and would say they don’t if you asked them. But it could be that they just haven’t met yet. It could also be that one twin has to pass away first before you will find out. I would say that for society in general, that’s too bizarre of a proposition to entertain.

Twin Soul Elitism

Some writers speak to needing to be at a certain level of spiritual advancement or evolution in order to even meet ones twin soul. I do think that maturity is beneficial due to the deep-seated and complex issues that a twin soul connection can bring to the surface. Maturity is needed to negotiate and navigate these issues and challenges.

But, I don’t like any information that suggests a sort of elitism that twin soul connections are only for “special” evolved people. Egotism definitely needs to be guarded against in the twin flame literature.

People who have twin soul connections are not more “special” than other people who are not aware of having one. Just run into anyone who is experiencing a twin soul connection when they’re having a bad day and I’m sure we would see that they are just as human as everyone else. No one in a physical body handles life’s challenges perfectly all of the time, myself included, even with all of the love coming into my life from the other side.

I believe in bringing more love and kindness into the world, and I do, but I’m not perfect at it. I do my best considering that I still have a lot to deal with, with breast cancer recovery and preventing its recurrence. It can get very burdensome at times. We all have numerous challenges we face every single day, especially if you are a parent, having financial difficulties and/or dealing with an illness. Worldwide, we are living in times of great violence and this only adds to the stress.

We all grow at different rates. Someone who is not aware of a twin soul connection now may indeed find that their connection is right around the corner. Or, it could manifest 10 years from now. Perhaps it will not manifest in this lifetime because the twin is on the other side waiting for you.

But I know this for sure: you are not superior to anyone else because you have a twin soul connection and you are not inferior to anyone else if you don’t have one that you are aware of right now. We are all of equal value and worthy of love whatever stage we are at.

If you told me in 2002 that I would be experiencing an afterlife twin soul connection with Robin Gibb in 2012, I would have said that I have no idea what twin souls are and I don’t know what you’re talking about. I know for a fact I would not have believed it, especially because I did not know him and also because of his earthly status.

So, when it comes to this topic, who knows what the future holds for any of us. It’s possible you could have a twin soul connection with someone on Earth that will blow your mind. But, it’s also possible that this mind blowing connection could be with someone who is deceased. That’s not usually what people have in mind when they talk about wanting to find their twin soul! But, that is what the reality could be. And just because your twin may be deceased, does not mean you have to wait until you pass away also to unite with them as I have demonstrated on this website.

If you are a highly sensitive and empathic person, you may be able to detect that you share a soul connection with someone, even if they are deceased. It really does not matter at all if they are deceased. They are still alive and aware in another plane of existence that I believe is closely entwined with this one. To me, this is why afterlife communication is possible.

I had the luxury of being able to detect my connection with Robin’s spirit because he was in the public eye. But even if your twin is not in the public eye and you never met them, it’s still possible to connect and get to know each other after death if they find out who you are and contact you through dreams for example. Your twin could be someone you would least expect, take it from me. I think God takes great pleasure in bringing together people who don’t seem to go together at all from an earthly perspective.

Some Other General Beliefs

I believe that twin souls are souls from the same soul group/family of closely knit souls in the spiritual world that emit nearly identical hues and frequency of light from the core of who they are as spirits.

I don’t believe they are exactly identical as no 2 souls are created exactly alike. We all have our own unique identity.

As souls, we are intelligent, creative beings of light that match and blend with other souls to varying degrees. I believe we all have many soul family members, many that we do not meet in this one lifetime we are living.

With our soul family members, we will share many of the same characteristics in terms of our vibration, light and soul colors. I define a twin soul as the soul within our soul family that we are closest to in terms of spiritual light and soul colors, to the point of being nearly identical.

But just as human identical twins have defining characteristics enabling people to be able to tell them apart after close examination, spiritual twins also have their own identifying characteristics whereby other spirits can tell us apart.

I believe that souls can love each other so much because of shared past experiences that they become a bonded pair. You are a whole soul but ½ of a pair. The shared past experiences could have come from life shared together in the spirit world, incarnations on Earth or both.

In terms of my twin soul connection with Robin, I don’t like it when people tell me what I “chose” with him in my pre-birth state before I even got here. I don’t think anyone knows what I chose as a soul before I was the person I am now. I don’t believe anyone knows what I “consented” to before I was an embryo.  

This a common and popular belief I’ve seen propagated in a lot of New Age literature. What bothers me is that they tell me this, but there is no specific way to verify exactly what it was that I chose before I was born. I also feel a little manipulated when people say that to me because I don’t remember or know what I did before I was born, yet I’m just expected to believe them and take their word for it. Often, the people who say this to me don’t know me very well now. So, how can they know anything about me before I was even born? I think it’s quite presumptuous.

So, I generally recoil from that line of thinking, but if that’s what you believe, we can respectfully agree to disagree.

I feel in my heart that many of the events of my life, including what I share with Robin, are being orchestrated by a Power and Love much greater than I am. My choices are small and insignificant in comparison. I never could have consciously chosen a lot of the incredible things I have experienced with Robin because I never could have conceived of it with my limited mind.

What I share with Robin includes God. And I believe God “… is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…”  (Ephesians 3:20). To me, this means that God is able to go far beyond what I would choose as well. God has much greater things in mind.

For me, I’m glad that it’s God’s will being done in my life and not my will according to my limited abilities to conceive of the magnificent. Being with Robin has really opened up my eyes, heart and thinking in terms of what is possible in my life and with afterlife communication. The blessings have been and are beyond anything I could ever anticipate. They blow my little choices out of the water!

Conclusion

What I have written above are my current thoughts about twin souls based on my current level of evolution. They are based on the information I was given about my soul connection with Robin through direct guidance, synchronicity and other forms of afterlife communication. It is a work in progress.

Ultimately, I feel that talking about my soul connection with Robin in terms of twin souls and soul families is a framework for trying to understand something with my limited human mind that is actually beyond my scope of complete comprehension. I am talking about nearly identical light and soul colors because that was the guidance I was given about what my connection with Robin is at its core. God and Robin were letting me know what is true for us. But I cannot see these soul colors and light as I am not clairvoyant. These are descriptive terms that are a good approximation in terms of discussing such an esoteric circumstance accurately.

So, even though I use the terms “twin soul,” and I believe in its accuracy in describing the spiritual connection I have with Robin, I’m not too rigidly hung up on it either. I hold onto this terminology loosely because that feels right to me and it’s where I’m at. We as humans need some kind of language and terminology to describe what we are experiencing. But I also don’t want my spiritual connection with Robin to be limited by the words I use to describe it. Our connection goes beyond human words just as it goes beyond the physical world.

I know there is a lot more to this connection with Robin than I can consciously know at this stage in my spiritual development. In the meantime, I will continue to document and monitor the messages from spirit concerning Robin that I am given. Through this process, I expect my perspective to continue to evolve.

If you are experiencing a twin soul, soul mate or soul family connection as well, then I would also recommend going by your own experiences. The literature on twin souls or flames can lead you round and round in circles with all the different opinions. I think you have to find your own center and listen to your own heart and soul in these matters. Other people outside of you are not going to have the complete answers about your spiritual connection with another soul. They may have some good advice, guidance or wisdom to share. But I believe the complete answers reside within each of us when it comes to our personal soul connections.

I may not have all of the answers, but at least I’m honest about that instead of just parroting back things I’ve read to fill in the voids in my knowledge. While doing my research in the early days of my connection with Robin, I found that a lot of information about twin souls really did not resonate or make much sense to me. I am not going to accept other’s information about twin souls just for the sake of it. I question and examine what I read.

When reading information on twin souls, I checked in with myself and asked if what I was reading was true for me. Sometimes it was, but more often, it wasn’t. I don’t like boxes and I didn’t fit into the twin flame box very well in terms of what I was experiencing with Robin. This is true especially given that what I was experiencing was an afterlife connection, not one where I could meet him in the physical.

I have found that the answers about our connection do not come all at once. In my own experience, the answers come in increments, a little at a time as my mind and soul can handle them. I don’t know if I could handle it if I got all of the answers about my soul connection with Robin at one time. The way I’ve been getting the answers and the paranormal experiences have been mind blowing enough!

I felt like writing from my heart about this and hope you got something out of it.
