Kung Fu Teachings About Soul Connections

Kung Fu Teachings About Soul Connections

This post about soul connections is inspired by the 1970’s classic television show, Kung Fu.

For the past couple of months, I have been watching reruns of the 1970’s television show, Kung Fu. I vaguely remember watching this during my childhood, but I could not understand the teachings about soul connections as I do now as an adult.

I watched an episode which gave a beautiful description of soul connections in the context of physical death. It got me thinking about my afterlife connection with Robin. I share this because perhaps this will resonate with you as well in terms of your soul connections with deceased loved ones.

Below, I have transcribed the dialogue between Kwai Chang Caine and Master Kan from Kung Fu, Season 1, Episode 15:

Kwai Chang Caine: Master, what is the best way to meet the loss of one we love?

Master Kan: By knowing that when we truly love, it is never lost. It is only after death that the depth of the bond is truly felt and our loved one becomes more a part of us than was possible in life.

Kwai Chang Caine: Are we only able to feel this toward those whom we have known and loved a long time?

Master Kan: Sometimes a stranger known to us for moments can spark our souls to kinship for eternity.

Kwai Chang Caine: How can strangers take on such importance to our souls?

Master Kan: Because our soul does not keep time. It merely records growth.

Soul Connections Between Strangers

The context of this dialogue is that a new acquaintance of Caine had just died. He felt extraordinarily close to him even though they had not known each other very long.

I love how this scene addresses this phenomenon of feeling very close to someone not known for long. There is so much emphasis in our modern world on love only being legitimate when you have known someone and known them for a long time. If you did not know them for long, or at all, the love you say you have for a particular soul can be quickly invalidated with a, “You didn’t even know them so how can you love them?”

That is understandable. However, the strength and depth of soul connections is not solely determined by the length of time you have known someone. In fact, you can “know” someone for a long time and not connect deeply at the soul level at all. Interactions can be maintained as surface and shallow. So, the depth of connection does not necessarily have anything to do with time that you have known someone.

Millions of people love people in the public eye they have never met. They love them because of a positive impact they have had on their life. It is possible that they might not like the celebrity if they got to know them on a day-to-day personality level. But the reality is that it is one form of love to love someone for their art, sports, acting or singing and the inspiration and benefit they gave, whether you know them or not.

Prior to Robin’s death in 2012, in April, I started to feel I had a soul connection with him even though we had never met and I did not know him. I couldn’t explain it, but I was drawn to pray for him and keep tabs on what was happening for him in terms of his health after I found out about his illness. This concern for him developed even after years of not following him or his career. I felt that I loved him and cared about his soul. I wanted to support him spiritually through prayer and mantras even though he had never met me and would have had no knowledge of me even existing.

Someone could easily invalidate my feelings stating I was just attracted to a celebrity like millions of other people are. Yeah, but why would I pick someone who was terminally ill and near death? Usually, people are drawn to celebrities who are alive and well.

I was pulled and drawn to him inexplicably and magnetically. I had to try and reach him. So, I started communicating with him by just having a dialogue. I didn’t know if he could perceive me or not. I just had to do it. I had to at least try to connect with his spirit. I was blessed with responses back from his spirit, such as this dream visit and many others which I have documented on this website:

Afterlife Communication: Dream Street

According to Shivani Bajaj, in an article called, On Soul Connections:

Often we experience a soul connection when we vibrate at the same frequency and this happens after a lot of inner work.

I would say this is true in terms of my connection with Robin. To me, twin souls are not souls split in two, or being half of a soul. They are whole souls that vibrate at a nearly identical frequency of spiritual light. I was drawn to him because we do vibrate at the same frequency which often manifests in synchronicity such as what I wrote in the post below:

Afterlife Communication: Starry Ceiling

Synchronicity lets you know when you share a soul connection with someone. I had done a lot of inner work prior to the manifestation of this connection and continue to do a lot of inner work healing my past. This is because in order to connect with a twin soul in spirit, your vibration needs to be cleared of trauma and other accumulated life issues. This is the ongoing process that I am now engaged in. I recommend this article to help with this process.

Kung Fu Teachings About Soul Connections: Commentary

So when Master Kan said, “It is only after death that the depth of the bond is truly felt and our loved one becomes more a part of us than was possible in life,” I strongly resonated with this. This can definitely be true between souls who knew each other. It can also be true for souls that didn’t.

For those of us who did not know each other at all or even meet, our bond and connection can only begin and be realized after physical death. Yes, this is possible no matter how much people ridicule this or try to deny it. You can begin or resume a pre-existing spiritual connection with someone after they die, even when you did not meet in their most recent lifetime. However, you have to be open to this. Not everyone is and that is fine. If you are, you could be in for some of the most life-changing, wonderful experiences of your life.

It was only after Robin’s death that I became aware of the bond we share as souls. I did not know we shared a soul connection while he was alive in the physical world. It was only after his death that I felt the true depth of our bond even though we had never met. The synchronicity, telekinesis, and dreams I have experienced in terms of afterlife communication caused me to feel a close and deep, eternal bond with his spirit.

It is very interesting to have a bond like this with someone you never met. It ties into the question Caine asked, “How can strangers take on such importance to our souls?”

Well, my answer to that is that our souls are not really strangers to each other. The soul is the energy light vibration that lives on after we die. We can recognize each other’s energy signatures as the soul shines through.

Our earthly selves, our physical bodies and personalities, are strangers to each other. I don’t know anything about what it was like to live with Robin or even have a cup of tea with him. But our souls go much deeper than this. Someone who you did not know or not know for long could be a long-lost twin soul, member of your soul family or past life companion.

The soul knows what the mind cannot compute. And that is how you can love someone who is for intents and purposes a stranger.

All of the stories I share on this website have one common purpose: to show that powerful soul connections with someone you did not know during their physical life are possible. It is always my loving intention to show how afterlife twin soul connections can manifest using my experiences with Robin as examples. I am just one person of many experiencing this type of amazing connection.

We limit ourselves too much as eternal souls if we think our deep and loving soul connections are restricted only to the people we know now. I believe that your soul is connected to other souls that you don’t know right now. Someday, you will find out about the others who you are connected to, just as I did with Robin. The connection may show itself when you least expect it.

That is what my experiences with Robin’s spirit have taught me. After he died, he became more a part of me and my life than was ever possible when he was alive.

Thank you for reading!

Love,

Robin and Strauss

Robin and Strauss

Robin Gibb Inspired by Strauss

For this post, I have the pleasure of writing about a music education journey I have been on. It involves Robin and Strauss, or more specifically, classical composer Johann Strauss II and how his musical compositions likely inspired Robin and the Bee Gees to write their famous song, ‘I Started a Joke.’

This journey involves mysterious synchronicity which kept pointing to Strauss, so I felt the guidance to follow this connection to see where it was going to take me. Robin really took me to school on this one, so I hope you enjoy it! He doesn’t let me rest on my laurels, but it is really fun and I enjoy it so much.

Robin and Strauss

During the early morning hours of Feb. 22, 2021, I read the book Tragedy-The Ballad of the Bee Gees by Jeff Apter. I was reading it to connect with Robin’s spirit. Due to the fact that I have already read two books about the Bee Gees cover to cover, this book is one I just skim through periodically because a lot of the information are things I’m already familiar with.

So, as I flipped through the pages, I came across a story about an interview with Don Pietro, an American radio DJ at the time,  who asked the Bee Gees about the meaning behind, ‘I Started a Joke.’ According to the book:

Robin recalled how he was on a Viscount plane and the roar of the engines reminded him of a Strauss composition, ‘and the tune came to me.’ After a nervous pause, Barry added, ‘With a lot of our songs, you need to make your own personal meaning, read into them what you want.’ (1)

This story about Robin being inspired by a Strauss composition was news to me. I found it fascinating that he heard this composition in the roaring of an airplane engine. That’s how the minds of musical geniuses work.

I started my own joke with Robin and asked if he had heard music in the whirring of a fan or  swooshing of a clothes washing machine too! The Bee Gees created ‘Jive Talkin’ from inspiration from the sound of driving over a bridge in Miami, so why not! 🙂

Anyway, I folded the page over so I would come back to it later. I wanted to look more into Strauss’ music because I was not familiar with it.

Pottery Leads to Strauss

The next day, on Tuesday, Feb 23rd, my husband informed me that there was a second season to the pottery show I like on HBO MAX called “The Great Pottery Throw Down.”  I finished the first season and loved it because I used to throw pottery as a hobby. If he had not told me there was a second season, I would not have known…and I would have missed the sign I’m about to write about.

On the first episode of the second season, one of the contestants mentioned that the inspiration for a 16-piece dinner set he was going to make was Richard III’s Yorkist rose which was a ‘white rose’ and Harry Tudor who was a ‘red rose.’ One of the judges mentioned that the contestant was representing “The War of the Rosesthrough his pottery.

The narrator said this contestant had a passion for history. This reminded me of Robin and his passion for British history which he talks about in this video:

When I heard The War of the Roses mentioned, it immediately jogged my memory about a book I bought and read years ago in 2016 called, All You Need is Love, by Jewelle St. James. I remembered that The War of the Roses was mentioned in this book.

This book has been very important in my journey of discovery with Robin. It is about her past life and spiritual connection with John Lennon of the Beatles. I could see many similarities between her story and mine because for both of us, our spiritual connections were triggered when they died.

She found herself having deep feelings of grief after John Lennon died even though she had not been following him at all. I found myself having a similar sort of grief even though I had not been following Robin’s career. I share this quote about how she felt after she found out he was shot in New York to illuminate this point:

My thoughts were erratic. New York … why didn’t I find that out … before it was too late? Why haven’t I been paying attention to where he has been? Inexplicable feelings of grief, desperation, and loss washed over me, leaving me drained and confused. (2)

I felt exactly the same way after Robin had died. I had thoughts like, “Why did I lose track of them (The Bee Gees)? Why wasn’t I paying attention? Why didn’t I go to a concert while I had the chance?”

It was the grief of missing his entire life. This made no logical sense at the time, but since then, I have come to understand this grief more fully.

So, after I heard The War of the Roses mentioned on the pottery show, I paused it and got up right away to see if I could find the passage in this book about The War of the Roses. My recollection was correct and I found the exact passage.

After I read this, I began to think of something else I read in this book years ago. It was about how Jewelle’s daughter, who has psychic abilities, told her that it was her job to help people remember John Lennon and his music. I decided to look for this quote as well, which I found easily through my tablet search function.

I read this passage first which was at the bottom of this page. After I finished, my eyes traveled to the beginning of the page.

To my surprise, there was a mention of Johann Strauss!

This was not something I had remembered because as I mentioned, I had not read this book since 2016. I thought to myself, “I’m syncing up with Robin again.” It felt like a beautiful connection because I absolutely love connecting with him around subjects that have to do with his music.

Here is the quote about how John Lennon had been spiritually assisted by Johann Strauss during his career. It is Jewelle’s daughter that is giving her the information because according to the story, John Lennon’s spirit contacted her:

“John had a teacher who had always helped him with his music. Through this teacher he has grown to love waltzes.” “Does this teacher have a name?” “Johann.” My mind raced. Waltzes … Johann … “Is this Johann Strauss?” I asked.

Joanne paused for a minute, then said, “Yes, Johann says that’s how people knew him.” The girl looked puzzled. “Mom, who is this Strauss guy?” “A man who wrote beautiful music …” I trailed off, not knowing what to think, yet feeling a sense of overwhelming awe. (3)

Well, I felt awe too after just reading about Robin’s connection with Strauss the night before in the Bee Gees’ book. So, this whole thing with the British pottery show and British history took me right back to Strauss…and Robin. It was nice to see this connection between some of the things he loved.

Strauss for the Third Time

A couple of days after the synchronicity I mentioned above, I was reading a book I had just purchased called, Twelve Steps to Heaven: Introducing Twin Flames, Angels and Soul Wisdom by Jayne Chilkes.  Her writing on twin flames is very beautiful and I strongly resonate with it. If you are interested, you can read it beginning on page 111 in the Afterword in the link I provided above.

I have a habit of flipping through books when I first get them. As a result, I came across a mention of Strauss again, for the third time within a handful of days. Mind you, I never hear about Strauss in my day to day life.

I usually listen to Mozart if I’m going to listen to classical music, so seeing Strauss come up this often within such a short period of time was noteworthy.

Here is the brief quote where Jayne Chilkes’ spirit guide is telling her about the music he likes:

“…Classics, mind you, I do not like this modern stuff, no, but the music where there is the melody from the heart. I am very fond of this. I was not quite so struck by the Strauss Brothers-very good-, but they did not move me like the Russian Rachmaninoff….” (4)

Well, to each his own. The main point I noticed was Strauss showing up three times and how his sentiments matched Robin in terms of singing from his heart.

Signs and the Rule of Three

This appearance in this book was the last time ‘Strauss’ showed up in my life spontaneously. But, this really got my attention because I have read over the years to pay attention when signs show up in threes.

According to a website called Psychic Elements, there are reasons “3” is important when it comes to signs and messages:

Its simplest and most obvious reason is that one time is random, twice could be coincidental, but three becomes a pattern. So, for example, if you heard a certain book mentioned on TV, then read a reference to it on Face Book, and then someone you knew casually dropped it into a conversation, maybe you should take a look at it – it may contain important information for you.

When something appears on your radar three times in a short space of time, then it will have significance for you. If you can’t quite work out what that meaning is, just wait a little. In the meantime, journal about it, mull over it and let it percolate through your consciousness. Writing about the signs, and allowing your thoughts to land on the paper is a wonderful way to open up your intuition to possibilities. (5)

I did what she said in terms of mulling over the synchronicity with Strauss because I did not quite understand why he was showing up so much all of a sudden. I did some additional research to see if I could come up with some answers. This led me to deeper insights about the song, ‘I Started a Joke.’

Which Strauss is It?

In the quote I mentioned above, Robin said that the airplane engine sounded like a Strauss composition which inspired the tune for ‘I Started a Joke.’ But during my writing and research for this project, I discovered that there are several classical composers named ‘Strauss,’ including Johann Strauss I, Johann Strauss II and his brothers Josef and Eduard Strauss. There is also another composer named Richard Strauss who is unrelated to the others.

So, even though I thought he was talking about Johann Strauss II at first, I thought to dig a little deeper to see which composer he was most likely talking about.

I did a little more research on ‘I Started a Joke,’ this time on Wikipedia. I found this noteworthy quote of Robin’s about this song:

According to Robin Gibb, the melancholic melody of the song was inspired by the sounds on board an aeroplane:

The melody to this one was heard aboard a British Airways Vickers Viscount about a hundred miles from Essen. It was one of those old four engine “prop” jobs, that seemed to drone the passenger into a sort of hypnotic trance, only with this it was different. The droning, after a while, appeared to take the form of a tune, which mysteriously sounded like a church choir. (6)

In the first quote from the Tragedy book, he said the airplane engine sounded like a Strauss composition. In this Wikipedia quote, he said it sounded like a church choir.

So, now I’m confused. What happened to Strauss?

I decided to look into Richard Strauss a little more. His work with symphonic poems sounded beautiful, and something Robin would have liked, but there was no mention of church choirs associated with him.

So, I went back to studying Johann Strauss II and saw that he did have a connection to church music as you can see in the quote below from naxos.com:

The report in the Allgemeine Wiener Musik-Zeitung confirms beyond doubt that a piece of church music by the younger Johann Strauss was played on 4 August 1844 in Vienna’s Kirche Am Hof (known also as “The Church of the Nine Choirs of the Holy Angels”).

…Strauss’s composition was given in an a cappella (i.e. unaccompanied) choral performance – or, at most, with organ continuo – and that the version for wind ensemble was first heard at another event, perhaps in the open air….  (7)

I put two and two together and hypothesize that ‘I Started a Joke’ was inspired by the airplane engine that sounded like the church choir music of “the younger Johann” who is Johann Strauss II.

On August 4, 1844, Johann Strauss II was 18 years old. Robin was 18 years old when ‘I Started a Joke’ was recorded on June 20, 1968. Both of them showed genius level musical talent at a very young age. It seems that 18-year-old Robin was inspired by 18-year-old Johann Strauss!

The Whole World

Another thing I noticed from the naxos.com article was the text of Strauss’ church music/choral work- Graduale: Tu qui regis totum orbem. This means “Thou who rulest the whole world.”(8)

I see the lyrics for ‘I Started a Joke’ here:

I started a joke
Which started the whole world crying
But I didn’t see, oh no
That the joke was on me, oh no

I started to cry
Which started the whole world laughing
Oh, if I’d only seen
That the joke was on me

In writing this song, did Barry, Robin and Maurice gather inspiration from the text of Strauss’s choral work, including the words, “the whole world?” I may never know, but I can’t help noticing the glaringly obvious exact match.

Since Robin heard the church choir music of a Strauss composition in the airplane engine, maybe he knew about this text and it helped inform the lyrics to the song.

The graduale Tu qui regis totum orbem (1844) was the only sacred work Johann Strauss II ever composed and perhaps Robin knew of it for this reason.

Conclusion

After this close examination, I surmise that the answer to “Which Strauss is it?” is Johann Strauss II. As for why I got Strauss in threes, I feel like Robin wanted me to learn more about the inspirations for his songs, which is in essence learning more about him.

And if I can help remind people of how truly gifted he was in terms of how his mind worked musically, then all the better. He doesn’t need my help in any way in this regard. I know millions of people remember and love him and his gift. It’s just nice to give a shout of praise on his behalf when I can because I love him too.

I hope you enjoyed this journey with Robin, Strauss and me. Until next time, take care.

Afterlife Gifts: A Spiritual Social Network

Afterlife Gifts: A Spiritual Social Network

I believe that deceased loved ones can still send afterlife gifts from Spirit. It can be fun and amazing to see how they show up in our lives. To me, it feels like a spiritual social network including people we love in other dimensions!

Afterlife communication is all about ongoing energetic connections with our deceased loved ones. We can keep our connections and relationships alive even after death. I feel strongly that deceased loved ones, Robin included, love this interplay with us who are still embodied. It was made clear to me that he still wants to interact and communicate from his home in spirit.

It seems to me that gifts from deceased loved ones can be given through the spiritual social networking medium called synchronicity. It’s actually a way they can offer gifts that show up in physical form even though they are disembodied.

To reinforce this point, Kevin Williams, in this article reviewing the after death communication work of Bill and Judy Guggenheim (authors of Hello from Heaven: A New Field of Research), states that:

…most people intuitively recognize their sign right away and feel it was intended just for them. Some people report they were sent a sign spontaneously as a gift…(1)

This quote is true for me on a very personal level. In this post, I would like to share a story about being sent gifts that connect with Robin’s energy in specific ways. It involves a t-shirt, stamps, and variations of his surname.

     Afterlife Gifts: Poppy Valentine

Around the last week of January, 2021, my husband received a package in the mail. It was from Poland. I noticed the stamps on the package. They looked like poppies. That got my attention quickly for obvious reasons.

I told my husband about the package and he told me that the poppy stamps were a synchronicity because the package was a valentine’s gift for me. But, he didn’t want to tell me what it was because it was a surprise. That got me curious, but I had to wait until February 14th!

So, on Valentine’s Day, I finally got to open it. He got me a Bee Gees t-shirt printed with the album cover art from, “Idea.”

He said he chose it because it was very unique. Here it is. I have come to love collecting Bee Gees t-shirts that are not very commonly seen:

    Bee Gees Idea Album Tshirt

Then I understood why Julian said it was synchronistic that the t-shirt was delivered with poppy stamps: it connected right back to Robin and this website. Receiving this made me feel his presence so strongly.

I wanted to make 100% sure that the stamps really were poppies, not just flowers that looked like poppies, so I did some research. The stamp said “Polska” on it, so I typed “Polska poppy stamp” into google. The exact image of the stamp I have came up. Here is the stamp:

    Poppy Stamp Image

I clicked on a link provided with the image to get more information. It confirmed that it is a poppy. I like to have proof in writing, especially when it comes to afterlife communication. Here is the link and a screenshot with additional information from the stamp catalog:

    Stamp Catalog Image

I couldn’t help noticing that there is a variation of Robin’s last name there with “Gibbons.” I thought that was extra fun to add to the poppy stamp afterlife gift even though I had no idea who Stanley Gibbons was.

I have written about how a variation of “Gibb” once showed up on a $20 bill I was given for change at a grocery store. The same name, “Gibbons” was written on it. It’s amazing how the universe will bring reminders of our loved one’s presence with us in the most uncanny ways. It doesn’t have to be exact to count as a reminder either. “Gibbons” is a close enough match:

Variation of Gibb on $20 Bill

    The Gift of Gibb

During the early afternoon of February 27, 2021, I was talking with my husband about how the surname “Gibbons” showed up on the description of the poppy stamp. I had not mentioned it to him before, but it occurred to me to do so because we had been talking a lot about this website earlier that morning. I thought he would like to know that the “Idea” t-shirt and poppy stamps had an additional connection to Robin with a variation of his name mentioned.

While I was talking with him about the “Gibbons” surname associated with the stamp, I was multi-tasking and using my phone to research articles on how to clean our dishwasher.

I found this article from Today. I was so surprised when I read the freelance writer’s name: Her last name is Gibbs! Here is the link.

I laughed and showed my husband the article. He was surprised and I was too, yet I have grown accustomed the quick signs back over the years. It felt like an intricate, beautiful web of connections with Robin’s spirit being woven in that moment. Within seconds of talking about the poppy stamps and “Gibbons”, “Gibbs” shows up! I love it! What a beautiful gift.

According to John Holland in the book, Bridging Two Realms, “A loved one’s name showing up just when you were thinking about them,” is a common sign of after death communication. (2)

It is one of the more attention-getting and moving afterlife gifts.

Stamps and the Isle of Man

I was curious about Stanley Gibbons since I did not know who he was. So later in the day on February 27th, I continued my research while writing this post. According to Wikipedia:

Edward Stanley Gibbons (21 June 1840 – 17 February 1913) [1] was an English stamp dealer and founder of Stanley Gibbons Ltd, publishers of the famous Stanley Gibbons stamp catalogue and other stamp-related books and magazines. (3)

I know absolutely nothing about stamp collecting, so finding out about the Gibbons stamp company is all new to me.

Interestingly, on Feb. 27th during my research, I also discovered another connection to Robin related to Stanley Gibbons. It is this Isle of Man stamp below. I was really amazed when I saw this. The Isle of Man is Robin and the Bee Gees’ country of birth:

Stanley Gibbons Isle of Man Stamp

So many connections are associated with the t-shirt my husband gave me. This is the gift that keeps on giving. That’s why I see this as a spiritual social network.

In this case, it involves a network of energies including my husband, The Bee Gees and Robin’s spirit, poppy stamps, a freelance writer, a stamp dealer, and me.

Robin’s signature is all over this. His last name and birth country all showing up unexpectedly within a few hours of each other? Pretty awesome!

Cleaning dishwashers has nothing to do with stamps, so it meets C.G. Jung’s criteria for these synchronistic events being symbolically meaningful connections (for me), but acausal and unrelated.

It’s actually pretty rare for me to see anything about the Isle of Man come up in my life, so this is very special. It really was a divine idea for my husband to give me this gift of the “Idea” t-shirt! Maybe he was influenced by energies beyond our dimension, unbeknownst to him.

It’s a mysterious power that clusters these names and events together. I consider them all afterlife gifts and feel Robin’s spirit woven in and through them. It was one of the best Valentine’s Day gifts ever and I am very thankful for all spirits and energies involved whether alive or deceased.

    Follow the Breadcrumbs

There is one last thing I would like to mention. If you are engaging in afterlife communications, I cannot stress enough how important it is to scratch beneath the surface and do additional research on the signs you are given.

If I had discontinued my research when I confirmed the stamps were poppies and did no additional research on Stanley Gibbons, I never would have seen the Isle of Man stamp that is so meaningful to me.

With afterlife communication, you really have to be willing to do the extra work. If you miss the sign, your loved one may attempt to send it again. But, it helps them a lot on the other side if we do our work and follow the leads and “breadcrumbs” they give us. “Gibbons” was a big breadcrumb and I followed it!

Social networking in the physical world requires some effort. The same principles apply to social networking with our deceased loved ones. Loved ones on the other side very much appreciate our extra efforts. The reward for our extra work could be layers and layers of communications from them that will amaze us!

Thank you very much for reading. I hope your spiritual social network is alive and well!

Afterlife Communication: Touched By Your Love

Afterlife Communication: Touched By Your Love

this post, I will write about afterlife communication with Robin and how I have been personally touched by his love as a spirit. It is inspired by the song “Charade” by The Bee Gees. Happy Valentine’s Day!

      A Door Opened

In my previous post, I wrote about how in 2012, a door opened by which I could communicate with Robin’s spirit. It opened automatically and mysteriously. The thing is, since then, it never closed. I had no idea in 2012 that almost nine years after his death, I would still be in communion with him.

If someone had told me in 2013 that in 2021, I would still feel connected to his spirit, still be communicating with him and that I would have a website, I would have have been amazed and surprised. In 2013, I could not have imagined sharing any of these stories.

That is the power of afterlife soul connections. They cause you to do things you never would have done. They cause you to grow, to spread your wings and to come out of your shell.

Since Robin’s passing, I have lived my life as fully as I can, moving across country, surviving breast cancer, and loving my husband. The door is still open. Something miraculous definitely happened to me when he died physically. His death set off a chain reaction within me which has resulted in accelerated spiritual growth and learning.

When that door opened, a river of afterlife communication, synchronicity, soul family, and twin soul energies, flowed into my life. I had never experienced anything like this prior to Robin’s passing: a mysterious soul connection with someone who had been famous that I had never met.

Maybe you are like me and feel a strong soul connection with Robin and/or with someone else you never knew. Maybe you love them genuinely and know it’s not a bunch of b.s. Perhaps you felt deep grief and sadness upon their death. And if you are like me, you know that it is stigmatized to admit to having such a connection with a previously famous soul, even though in your heart, you know it is true.

Soul Connections with Deceased Famous People

To address this issue, I would like to share a reassuring video by a psychic and a medium named Bridgette of Above Life Channel on YouTube.

In her video below called, “When Famous People Die and You Feel the Impact,” she validates the fact that famous and non-famous people, who did not know each other, can be connected at soul level and that for some of us, we will feel the void and the impact of the loss of that life.

We could experience it as an “instant opening” as she puts it (2:51 into the video). We may even become fixated on learning everything about them that we can. Well, I would put myself in that camp, but it kind of goes along with the territory.

I encourage you to watch her 11 minute video so you understand better what I’m talking about.  If you ever felt deeply grieved after the death of someone famous that you did not know, you may feel encouraged by what she has to say and not feel so alone or weird.

When I heard her say that we could experience their death as an “instant opening,” it resonated with how I experienced Robin’s death as like a door opening. It took his spirit being released from his physical body for me to feel this.

I know it sounds strange, but I could feel that release back in 2012. Actually, I was in tune with his spirit close to one month prior to his passing, in April, 2012, and I had no idea why at the time. It seems my soul knew what was coming but my mind of course didn’t and I was confused.

To this day, I feel the charge of his energy, or supercharge I should say. I am the “stop gap open” that she is describing (2:46 into the video). His death really shook me hard, as Bridgette described, because our soul energies are connected. That is why he feels like family to me and why our energies synchronize on a regular basis.

When Robin’s soul left his body, I felt that “pull over” into spirit to connect with him. I felt like I was being “pulled over” even though I was still here embodied. That’s the best way I can describe it.

These soul connections include mega-fans and people who were not fans, like me. (Bridgette addresses this at 1:41 into the video.) Prior to this door opening in 2012, I was not much of a fan of Robin or the Bee Gees. What I mean by that is I was not following them, not listening to their music (even though I did like it), read no books about them, saw no documentaries about them and never been to a concert.

Spirit doesn’t care about any of that. Soul connections are about many things, including our shared energy light, experiences, or possible past lives together, and not about how good of a fan you were.

So, if you are like me and feel suddenly magnetically drawn to someone in the public eye upon their death, that you never followed when they were alive, Bridgette could have some answers for you.

Has a famous person’s death shaken you like this? The effect of these connections are profound. Bridgette has this to say about the famous people in spirit that we are connected to and how they are aware of the impact that they have. This quote is from 8:46 into the video:

…And that spirit totally knows because their job has been achieved when they have touched your soul…they get a gold star…you’re helping them as well to evolve and to come closer to the ethereal energy of our spirits. So, do not feel bad about that… (1)

This was incredibly helpful to me. I know that Robin knows the powerful effect his spirit has had upon me. I have shared these posts to bring you into his loving energy and also to support you on your journey of soul connections with your loved ones in the afterlife. You are not alone. A big reason why I continue to write these posts is to destigmatize and demystify afterlife soul connections.

      Touched By Your Love

When I heard Bridgette say, “…their job has been achieved when they have touched your soul…” I thought about the lyrics from “Charade,” by The Bee Gees. I have been meditating on this song off and on for months now because I feel a deep connection with it.

Here is the video of “Charade.” This song is beautiful beyond measure with the voices of Barry and Robin and the incredible symphonic arrangement:

At 1:16 into video, Robin sings the lyrics below in a hauntingly beautiful way that really touches my soul. It’s not enough to read the words. You have to listen to and feel how he sings it:

And this feeling knowing you blessed me forever
And believing I have been touched by your love (2)

This is how I feel about Robin, so I will borrow their lyrics and dedicate them to him in this letter:

      Dear Robin,

Your job has been achieved. I believe I have been touched by your love as a spirit and as a singer. You have touched my soul and blessed me forever through your communications that you are so good at. The way this happened after your death is miraculous and speaks to your power as a spiritual being. Thank you for our eternal connection.

Millions of other souls have been touched by your love and blessed by you through your music and the beauty of your spirit. The ones who share a soul connection with you will know what I mean.

I hope and pray that you are touched by our love for you and that you feel blessed forever by us on Earth as well. Happy Valentine’s Day!

      Love,

      Christina

For me personally, a lot of things come with this “instant opening” that occurred at Robin’s death. A lot of things come with being touched by his love spiritually. It is life-changing. This includes a psychic connection as manifested in dream visits and synchronicity. I’m not sure how else to describe it.

I have documented numerous stories of afterlife communication in the form of synchronicity on this website to demonstrate what I’m talking about. This all served to shock me awake, which is exactly what he did, especially in 2012. This post below is one of the more revealing messages I have received:

      Afterlife Communication: Levine Synchronicity

On a very frequent basis, things I speak to him about when no one else is around are mirrored back to me. This reflection back, this synchronicity, feels very much like a psychic link with his spirit.

Recently, I experienced an interesting occurrence of synchronicity as a psychic connection that is positively Orwellian, but not in the way you might think! 🙂

Afterlife Communication: Orwell, Tea and Synchronicity

Regarding long-term afterlife communication with Robin’s spirit, I do my best to bring variety to the offerings I give him. Whether it is tea, food, music, readings or mantras, I want to mix it up so things won’t get boring.

On February 1st though, I had been feeling just that: bored. I was bored with offering Robin the same Sleepytime tea. I love this tea, but I was getting a little tired of it because it’s been my “pandemic tea” and I’ve had a lot of it. Since I drink it, I was offering his spirit the same, but I had enough of it, at least for now.

I was thinking about this only and keeping it to myself, not talking about it with him or anyone. I thought that I really needed to start offering him another kind of tea. I thought, “I think I’ll offer him the “love tea.” This was a tea that I gave him around five years ago. I couldn’t remember the brand name and I didn’t have any of it. All I could remember is that it had to do with love. It’s the perfect offering for a songwriter who devoted so much of his career to singing love songs.

So, later in the evening, after I was done privately pondering how bored I was with giving the same tea for offerings, I watched a show with my husband. It was from The Great Courses and was about author George Orwell.

Julian had watched the entire course last summer, but I didn’t watch any of it at the time because I was involved in other events. Since then, he has been sharing with me how interesting he thought Orwell was and that he felt like a kindred spirit.
Since he was so affected by Orwell’s biography, I decided to start watching the course.

Within the first few episodes, I could see why he felt he was a kindred spirit. He was an unconventional sort who had compassion for outcasts and the same passion for writing that my husband has.

Also, there were a lot of things that reminded me of my blog posts in his story: Orwell’s father’s employment regarding the poppy/opium trade, a mention of “princes and prime ministers” (I recently wrote about Robin’s life including “princesses and prime minsters”), and the English countryside. So, I was thinking about Robin quite a bit while I was watching it.

After we were done watching the course for the night, my husband reminded me that he had sent me PDF’s of Orwell’s different novels last year. I had not had the chance to read them because I’m up to my eyeballs in reading as it is for this website as well as other things.

But during the early morning hours of February 2nd, I couldn’t sleep, so I went in search of the files on my computer.

I was able to find them, including one called Burmese Days. During the course, the professor quoted from this novel. I found the quote to be so beautiful, I thought I would read a little more of the novel.

I browsed through the first few pages of it which is the introduction by Emma Larkin. Then I came to something that really got my attention. Here is the quote:

Emma Larkin: Introduction to Burmese Days

In Burma, Orwell acquired a reputation as someone who didn’t fit in. Unlike his contemporaries, who prided themselves in being pukka sahibs, Orwell preferred to spend most of his time alone, reading or pursuing non-pukka activities such as attending the churches of the ethnic Karen group or befriending an English opium addict who was a disgraced captain of the British Indian army. (3)

What is it that got my attention? The word “pukka.” “Pukka” is the brand name of the “love tea” that I could not remember earlier in the day! Seeing “pukka” mentioned jogged my memory.

I thought, “Oh my God, I cannot believe that the brand name of the “love tea” is showing up in George Orwell’s novel, of all places!”

What is the likelihood of the brand name of this tea showing up within hours of me thinking of it, in such an unusual place, by chance alone? Not very high. This definitely feels guided and orchestrated. Pukka is a word I never hear in my daily life personally. I know about it only in reference to this tea.

I said to God and Robin, “Thanks for the reminder! I’ll get you the tea, lol!” I also thanked my husband because without him, I would not have had the copy of the novel which gave us this synchronicity.

Here’s the Pukka love tea. Maybe you have had it. It is very floral:

      Pukka Love Tea Image

Years ago when I saw this tea in the store, I was drawn to the infinity symbols on the box decoration which have come to mean a lot to me since Robin’s passing.

      The Infinity Symbols

So, yes, I do feel a psychic connection with Robin’s spirit through this synchronicity. I am amazed at the interconnectedness of these completely unrelated thoughts and activities all leading back to “pukka.” The interconnectedness and mirroring of meaningful, unrelated events is the hallmark of synchronicity.

The meaning of pukka in Hindi is truthful, real, genuine, faithful and sincere.

I’m always fascinated by the specific events in my life that do sync up with something to do with Robin’s spirit. Why did this word “pukka” sync up on this day and not something else to do with him?

Ultimately, I believe the reason for the synchronicity lies in the meaning of the word. It is pointing to these spiritual qualities that are so vital for healthy relationships and close soul connections. These are the qualities of the higher planes of the spirit world and energies that we always need in our plane of existence on Earth.

We have all experienced lies, insincerity, and fake, disingenuous energies. “Pukka” is the counterbalance to that.

      In Closing

I hope you have enjoyed this post which included guidance on how to view afterlife celebrity connections with more compassion and understanding towards yourself and others.

Bridgette has a couple of videos on her channeling sessions with Andy, Robin and Maurice which you may enjoy:

      1. Andy Gibb and the Bee Gees Pre-Channel

      2. Andy Gibb and the Bee Gees Channeling Session

I have often heard Robin’s energy being described as shy, calm and introspective, which is true. I would just like to add my two cents and say that his energy is also extremely strong and powerful as I have experienced firsthand. So, no, it’s not always shy and calm! If he wants to get your attention and deliver a message, he knows how to do that.

Take care! I will be back in March with another post.

      Afterlife Communication Through Song Lyrics

I write this post in remembrance of Robin and Maurice Gibb who would have been 71 years old on December 22, 2020.

It has been documented in afterlife communication literature that deceased loved ones communicate through song lyrics.

For this post, I will share an amazing synchronicity regarding the Bee Gees’ song, “Cherry Red.” I love this song, so I figure that is a good sign to write about my experience with it! I hope you enjoy it.

In 2012, a door opened which allowed me to communicate with Robin in the ways described on this website. It came out of the blue because I did not even know there was a door through which I could reach him until after he passed away. I keep the door open now for his spirit so we can connect when the time is right. I have a story to share with you now which is about one of these times.

      Cherry Red Reminder

I have been baking at home more this year due to Covid 19. On Sunday, November 29, 2020, I decided to research lemon curd recipes. I had recently made a sugar-free lemon yogurt cake and it got me thinking about other lemon deserts.

I read through this recipe and saw a link for a silicone whisk. I need another whisk, so I took a look. At the time I clicked on the link, it was for this Cherry Red whisk.

This whisk immediately reminded me of the Bee Gees’ song. Here it is.

After I was done looking at the whisk and recipe, I decided to listen to the song. I have heard it many times, but there were some lyrics that I still didn’t understand.

They were singing “something….green…” I couldn’t figure out what they were singing, so for the first time, while sitting at Robin’s altar, I researched the lyrics on my phone.

I found out they are saying, “Turquoise green, greener than the deepest sea…” Turquoise was the word that I couldn’t understand.

So, that mystery was finally solved. Robin and Barry sing the harmonies beautifully with Maurice accompanying them on guitar. It has such pretty imagery.

This song is a soul mate love song with the cosmic theme of the stars. It is about a person sadly missing their true love. They are reflecting on how their senses are heightened as the result of the presence of their love. Cherry red is sweeter and the green of the sea is more vivid when they are together. It’s so true that when you are in love, life is brighter, things taste better, and colors are more beautiful!

If it weren’t for seeing the ‘Cherry Red’ whisk, I may not have listened to this song that day. It is significant that I did, which I will explain next.

      Green Turquoise Reflection

The day after researching the “Turquoise green…” lyrics, which was Monday, November 30th, I was drawn to email someone I had not contacted in a while. Their email address is one I keep at an email account I never check because I have the email forwarded to another account. So, I haven’t logged into it for easily a year or more. But, I needed to log in to find this email address of the person I wanted to contact.

When I signed in to my account, there was only one unopened email. It was in my junk folder. It was sent to me just a few days earlier on Friday, November 27th. It was from an artist from Etsy that I purchased jewelry from quite a while ago. She was promoting holiday sales.

Even though it was in my junk folder, I still clicked on it to see what she was selling. To say I was surprised at what I saw next was an understatement.

There were multiple photos of Green Kingman Turquoise jewelry!

Here is the Etsy link I received and a screenshot of the jewelry as it was displayed on Nov. 30th. I’m putting this screenshot here because the jewelry displayed at the link may change over time.

I felt very close to Robin’s spirit at that moment because it was such a specific synchronistic connection to the “Cherry Red” song lyrics.

Trish MacGregor and Rob MacGregor, in the book, Synchronicity and the Other Side: Your Guide to Meaningful Connections with the Afterlife, put it this way:

Synchronicity is a connective tissue between the everyday world and the other side, the world of spirit. (1)

Synchronicity shows one aspect of how spiritual, unseen energies like to work, which is to pull the same things together. Synchronicity shows how the Universe likes to communicate. It is a mechanism by which loved ones of all types can connect. When we love someone, whether embodied or disembodied, and we are energetically similar or nearly identical, we can reach each other through synchronized life events with very specific details.

      The Personal Nature of Synchronicity

I believe one of the major reasons for afterlife communication in the form of synchronicity is to create and maintain that sense of wonder, connection, closeness, love and bonding with a deceased loved one. It makes it impossible to forget them, which is the idea! They want to be remembered.

The closeness I experience with Robin now is the closeness I look forward to experiencing with his spirit and my soul family after I pass away. And one never knows when their time is going to come. The circumstances around the world at this time show that this is the case.

I knew the images of the green turquoise were a reference to the song lyrics and a twin soul mirror. I had just researched his “Turquoise green…,” lyrics for the first time and then I received green turquoise the next day when I checked an email account I never check. The timing was miraculous since I had not signed into this account for so long, but did so just in time to receive the communication in a timely fashion.

It was there waiting for me, unbeknownst to me. It was absolutely extraordinary and all because I had been guided to search for lemon curd recipes! You never know how synchronicity is going to come to you. This was very well orchestrated by those in spirit who watch over me.

I have never purchased green turquoise jewelry from the Etsy artist I mentioned above. I do not own any type of green turquoise jewelry, nor did I know about it so it is not common for me. I know about the usual blue turquoise, but the green turquoise gemstones came as a complete surprise to me which makes the synchronicity all the more powerful.

When it comes to souls you share a connection with, whether living or deceased, I have discovered that you are going to have what they have and get what they get on a frequent, recurring basis. To me, it is a sign of being united in spirit. The mirroring can show up in various, unpredictable situations in your everyday life. This time it showed up for me through unquestionable visual synchronicity.

As far as afterlife communication with Robin’s spirit goes, it was powerful, precious and meaningful to me for my email to synchronize with the specific lyrics he was singing. It was an incredible gift and deeply personal. Now, green turquoise will hold a special place in my heart going forward.

Robin has many advantages as a spirit, one of which is to use his own songs for communication! 🙂 God, Robin and whoever else is involved in creating and orchestrating synchronicity really touched my heart with that one. I will always remember this.

If you are interested in how twin souls communicate through music, I highly recommend this excellent article by Jonna called “Twin Flame Telepathy Through Song-What You Should Know.”

Spiritual Laws Are at Work in Synchronicity

Some may say this green turquoise synchronicity is simply the Law of Attraction at work. I think there is more to it than that. The Law of Attraction may be part of it, but that’s not all of it. I’m burnt out from the Law of Attraction. It’s my opinion that the Law of Attraction gets too much credit for everything that happens in a person’s life. It’s super popular to talk about, but by only paying attention to this one law, other spiritual laws are neglected.

In the book, The Laws of Spirit, Dan Millman writes about 12 different spiritual laws, one which is the Law of Action. (2)  I would like to apply this spiritual law to this turquoise green synchronicity.

If I had not taken the action to research the “Cherry Red” song lyrics, I still would not have known what the Bee Gees were singing. If I didn’t know they were saying “turquoise,” then no connection would have been made when I saw the jewelry in my email. Checking my email was another action I had to take to receive the message.

Therefore, afterlife communication requires those of us on earth to cooperate and take action so spirit can deliver the message. Our loved ones in the spirit world need our active participation. One easy action could open the door to an incredible experience. If we don’t take action, they may not have much to work with to give us a sign of their presence.

Inspired by the Seas of Australia?

According to Wikipedia, “Cherry Red” was recorded in February, 1966 and released in March, 1966.

At that time, the Bee Gees were living in Australia. They were teenagers when this song was recorded, as Barry was 19 years old and Robin and Maurice were 16 years old. They were so gifted to be able to capture soul mate energies and themes through their lyrics, voices and music at such a young age.

Barry wrote this song. It seems that the lyrics could have been inspired by the beautiful Australian seas surrounding them. That makes logical sense.

Here are some views of turquoise green seas that could have inspired the lyrics:

Since I received this synchronicity, I thought it would be a good idea to research the spiritual meaning of turquoise. According to Rodika Tchi, in her article “Turquoise Stone Meaning and Use in Feng Shui or Jewelry,” the meaning ties in directly with the sea:

The water-energy in turquoise can facilitate a better flow of energy in one’s body, thus promoting gentle detoxification and improving the state of one’s immune system. (3)

Here is some additional information on the symbolism and spiritual properties of both blue and green turquoise.

      In Closing

I would like to close by saying it has been wonderful writing here all year. I hope you are finding the posts beneficial and enjoyable for you. I would like to thank all of you who have subscribed and those of you who take the time to read my posts. I appreciate you.

Writing about my connection with Robin’s spirit helps me get through rough and painful times such as in 2018 when I had breast cancer and now in 2020 during this pandemic that has affected everyone in some way. It’s a good creative exercise for me as well as being educational and spiritually fulfilling. Writing gives me a good outlet for expressing myself which is something I really need to do for my well-being and long-term recovery.

I learn so much while I’m in the process of writing because I’m actively doing research while writing. For this post, I especially enjoyed learning about the Australian beaches the Bee Gees may have visited or known about.

On a different note, I realize that some of you may have lost loved ones during this pandemic due to Covid or other illness. Or perhaps it has been a rocky time in other ways financially or with relationships. I acknowledge this with compassion for you and wishes for you to be comforted and supported at this time.

I plan to take the month of January off, but plan to be back with a new post around the end of February.

Best wishes for a good holiday season. Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday in spirit to Robin and Maurice. You are loved and remembered always.
