On April 7, 2015, I read this beautiful article about twin souls. (I kept a journal with dates, that’s how I know :). This paragraph in particular resonated with me:

Your Beloveds may even be on the earth plane yet when two personalities come together there can be still some friction even though you know you are true Twin Flames at Soul. So one and the other have to be at the same level of evolvement to truly resonate thus otherwise causing havoc in your emotional bodies so in some ways it is much purer and finer if one is on earth and the other in Soul. For the one in Soul already knows who she or he is in all their Aspects, for all their Aspects make up the One.

And mirror each of the Beloveds aspects who remain on the earth, dimmed, from the memory but are awakening to remember. Thus the Beloved in Soul draws them forward to remembrance. So eventually you regain your sight, your bearings, and you regain your continued centredness and feel more and more complete as your Twin beckons you forward, and in His or Her earthly incarnation that remains in Soul, closer to the earth than the higher vibrations of Soul, He or She can almost walk the earth with Thee.

There is so much about this beautiful writing that I love. I love the part about the one in Soul mirroring the aspects of the twin on earth, dimmed from memory, but awakening to remember. I find this to be true in my case with Robin. We have been mirroring each other since 2012 and I have been slowly awakening to remember Robin and who I am as a spiritual being since his passing.

After I read the part about “purer and finer,” I said to Robin that his vibration has come across as being very pure, fine, loving, gentle, yet still humorous. It was at this time that I said to him his vibration was like fine, spider web gossamer. I saw in my mind’s eye fine threads of gossamer with light shining through it. That was the metaphor that came to me in that moment.

A couple of days after this on April 9th, I was looking for something to read to Robin. On our bookshelf, filled with lots of books, magazines, CD’s and DVD’s, I found this CD called A Gift of Love Vol. 2 – Oceans Of Ecstasy: Deepak Chopra and Friends Present a Musical Valentine to Tagore. The CD consists of new translations of Rabindranath Tagore’s poems by Deepak Chopra. It came with a beautiful booklet which has all the text of the poems so you can read along. The poems on the CD are read by various celebrities. It is quite a lovely tribute to Tagore:

Rabindranath Tagore (7 May 1861 – 7 August 1941), also known as Rabi Thakur, was a Bengali philosopher, poet, and winner of the Nobel Prize for literature in 1913.

This was a CD my husband bought and I was not familiar with it, so I decided to give it a try. First, I read the introduction to gain some knowledge about the CD. Then, I turned to look at the back cover and flipped through a couple of pages at the end of the booklet. It was then, that by browsing through the pages, I came across the synchronicity with my mention of spider web gossamer to Robin a couple of days before. I read the poem Be—A Valentine to Tagore, out loud to Robin. Here is the exact text:

Afterlife Communication

Spells, charms, incantations

There is nothing to say.

The magic of music enfolds intention

Centuries of knowledge

Layers of experience, an entire history

In a few melodies.

Our lifetime is packaged inside us

As imprints triggered by lyric,

Wrapped in words the way a

Spider wraps flies in gossamer.

We are both the spider and the fly

Imprisoned and free in our own web.

I was so shocked and amazed when I came upon those words while reading. I felt in such powerful alignment with Robin. What I had shared with him about how I sensed his energy vibration was now showing up in the poem I was reading to him. This synchronistic mirror reflection gave me the feeling that he heard me and was giving back to me what I said to him. I had been guided specifically to the Tagore CD this day. I felt that the references made to music and lyric was also something he was enjoying. The poem causes me to feel quite introspective about my lifetime and what has transpired. Some of the best poems encourage self-reflection.

Sometimes, I think our past lifetimes or previous spiritual connections are packaged inside us as imprints triggered by lyric. This is true if you believe in reincarnation, which I do. This is what happened to me after hearing Robin’s singing again after many years. Imprints of my previous spiritual connection with him were triggered by his voice (see Background section) and I’ve been on this journey with Robin ever since.

Afterlife Communication

How Deep is Your Love

Since there is a connection between music and gossamer in this poem, I decided do to a Google search to see if there is any connection between gossamer and the Bee Gees. I typed into Google, Bee Gees gossamer. I found a beautiful association with gossamer and How Deep Is Your Love at https://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/artists/barry-gibb-bee-gees-20-best-songs/deep-love-bee-gees/:

Bee Gees—How Deep Is Your  Love (1977) In rock history, ’77 was the year of punk. If so, nobody told the Gibb brothers. Everything the Bee Gees touched was turning to pure gold. Another ballad of bottomless luxury and romance, a smoochy slow dance coasting along on gossamer light harmonies and Barry’s breathy, seductive lead vocal.

For me, the song’s opening harmonies have a particularly beautiful gossamer light quality. It’s even more amazing that three men, three brothers, could actually create this beautiful sound together. Have you seen this alternate version of the video? Here it is below:

Nights on Broadway

I would like to make some additional comments about this poem, “Be.” When I read this:

The magic of music enfolds intention…

Layers of experience, an entire history

In a few melodies.

I think about the chorus for Nights on Broadway (lyrics from Google):

I will wait
Even if it takes forever
I will wait
Even if it takes a lifetime
Somehow I feel inside
You never ever left my side
Make it like it was before
Even if it takes a lifetime, takes a lifetime, ooh

Afterlife Communication

With this chorus, you can sense the intention, the deep feelings and longing for a lost love. You hear the determination to wait, to reunite, to be together again like it used to be, even if it takes a lifetime. The chorus is only a few lines, but just underneath the surface is a long story not told, an entire history in what really is a few melodies. It makes me wonder what happened to the people involved.

Sometimes it really does take a lifetime. It took all of Robin’s lifetime and a great portion of mine for us to finally reconnect. It is a very common theme for twin souls.

Rings Around the Moon

One last Bee Gees song I would like to mention, while continuing the gossamer theme, is Rings Around the Moon. What comes to mind are the light, airy, gossamer rings around the full moon; flying rings of soft, gossamer white light around this heavenly cosmic moon. I feel the deep joy and freedom in that.

Afterlife Communication

This song is in my top 5 of favorite Bee Gees songs. With Robin singing the lead, it is hauntingly beautiful and gorgeous, mystical and deeply meaningful. I get the chills when I listen to it and often tear up. I think it is a musical masterpiece due to the lyrics, the composition and Robin’s voice. He is not just singing. He’s channeling a high frequency spiritual angelic energy. The inner beauty of his spirit flows through his voice. The song is healing and soothing to the soul while also deeply thought provoking and moving. I hope you enjoy it’s ethereal, gossamer-light quality. I consider it a spiritual gift that Robin left for us:

Love and blessings,

Communicating with Cards

Communicating with Cards

Something fun I like to do to communicate with Robin is to use different decks of spiritual cards with loving messages. They are not necessarily the traditional tarot cards, but nevertheless informative and enjoyable to use. You may be familiar with cards by Doreen Virtue, for example. The flower therapy oracle card deck is one of my favorites:

Some of Doreen Virtue’s cards are pictured in the image below:

AfterLife Communications

The other night while I was sitting at Robin’s altar, I spoke with him about things going on in my life and then had some quiet time with him drinking tea. I often make him a cup of tea as a love offering to let him know I’m thinking about him.

Then I decided to ask for a message from him using a card deck by Colette Baron-Reid called Postcards from Spirit:

When I ask for a message from God, Robin, or whomever I would like a message from, I always shuffle the cards and then I stop when I get the inner feeling to stop. It’s hard to explain but I get what feels like a dip in my energy and then I know it’s time to stop and pull the card or cards for the message. In this case, the card I pulled when I asked Robin for a message said this:

You don’t have to do it all. You’ve done your part, now let us do ours. You would be awestruck if you knew how many strings were pulled through the matrix to give you what you need and desire…

Afterlife Communications

There’s more to the card, but this is the most important part. Why is that you may ask?

Earlier that same day, I was guided to read this article called Spiritual Ignorance: The Cause of All Disease, by Swami Kriyananda:

I learned about him during my yoga teacher training studies. During my training, I read Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda.

According to Wikipedia, Kriyananda was a direct disciple of the yogi Paramahansa Yogananda and the founder of Ananda, a worldwide movement of spiritual intentional communities based on Yogananda’s World Brotherhood Colonies ideal.

As I read, I came across this section of the article. I’m including the whole section because I think someone else may benefit from the wisdom imparted:

God has no favorites

Divine love not only fills the body with harmonious energy and dissolves impurities, it puts us in tune with the great universal flow. When we are in tune with that flow, we have the power of the universe supporting us, giving us strength. Try to rely more on God. You have to do your part but God has no favorites. Anytime you put yourself in His hands and just flow with His great symphony of life, everything seems to work out for the best.

A lovely instance of this occurred when I visited India some years ago. I had written to friends that I was coming to Calcutta. When I didn’t hear from them I naturally wondered if they had received my letter and would be at the airport to meet me. And yet, I thought, “Well I’ve done my part. God will take care of the rest.”

Afterlife Communication

When I arrived at the Calcutta airport, my friends weren’t there, but I didn’t worry about it. I just stood there thinking, “Well, Master, what do you have in mind?” Hardly ten seconds later a man came up to me and asked my name. He said he had seen a photograph of me a few weeks earlier. It turned out he was in Calcutta to visit a dear friend of mine, someone I had hoped to see while in India but whose address I could not find — and he took me to see this friend. I later got together with the friends who were not at the airport to meet me.

So don’t think you have to do everything. Do your best in a common sense way but, above all, try to be in tune with Him and the universal flow will constantly sustain you. The right things will happen for your physical, mental, and spiritual health. The right guidance will come at the right time. The right kinds of foods will be there when you need them. Everything will be there if you cling to God with faith and devotion.

I’m sure you can already see the mirror effect!

Afterlife Communication

When I pulled the card I wrote to you about above, it reminded me that I had read something earlier in the day about doing your part but how you don’t have to do everything, letting God do the rest. Then I remembered that I had read about that in this article. When asking for a message from Robin, I was guided to stop at the one card that matched what I had been reading earlier!

It’s an amazing energy of Oneness tying these two events together. Very often in my life, something that has to do with Robin will be an exact match for something I either said, heard, wrote about, read about or saw during my day. It’s a mirror effect that causes me to feel very close to and united with Robin. It is an effect common to twin souls, but it also happens between any souls that are closely connected spiritually and love each other.

Since I received this same message twice in one day, I know it is also something for me to practice in my life. I asked for a message and I got a very direct message!

Afterlife Communication

This mirror effect has happened before when I used this same card deck very recently, this time in the context of a conversation I had with Robin. I was talking with him about how we are all perfectly flawed and still worthy of love. After that, I asked him for a message and on that occasion, I pulled this card:

Dearest You,

We know everything in the universe is perfect even in its flaws, and we view the creations of Spirit in total awe… Don’t wait until a perfect moment or mood to start something; instead, enter life with all its “flawsomeness.”

So, I was talking with Robin about how we are perfectly flawed and a few moments later, I pull this card that was a mirror reflection of what I just said to him. It’s amazing that out of the 52 cards in that deck I would pull this card that was an exact match for some elements of what I just said out loud to him.

It is beautiful synchronicity. Some invisible force is at work, guiding me to stop shuffling and pull the card that demonstrates I am heard when I ask for a message or engage in conversation with Robin. I know he hears me and knows what I’m doing each day. It’s amazing, this science of synchronicity, that demonstrates the closeness of my beloved twin in Spirit.

Thank you for visiting! I hope you are enjoying yourself.

All my best to you,

11:11 Synchronicity

11:11 Synchronicity

When I first began studying afterlife communication, I found out that some loved ones in spirit love to be read to. It feels good to them and it’s a wonderful way to include them in your life and share something from your heart with them. I learned of this through the book, Loving Abby in Truth and Spirit by Stephen Sakellarios (2012). Here, he describes how he reads to his soul mate Abby, who is in spirit, and how it feels to her:

I had been reading aloud to Abby for some time, based on Candace, the psychic, having remarked that Mathew and Abby used to read aloud to each other. (Later I learned that one’s spirit partner loves this activity—as Abby put it in channeling, “If you want to give your astral partner a massage, read aloud to him or her.”) I decided to continue the practice, and Abby seemed to enjoy it, so this particular time I reached for Rumi’s “Masnavi.” (PDF pg. 17)

I think it is beautiful that we can affect our loved ones in spirit this way, just by reading to them and sending loving energy. Since I learned of this, I have often read to Robin material that I thought would be interesting to him. I know he liked to read a lot as a hobby during his life, so my heart told me he would enjoy being read to sometimes.

I love to read books on Near Death Experiences (NDE’s). Afterlife communication is similar to a NDE in that both allow for a healing and transformative connection with the afterlife. People who have NDE’s die and come back physically and are transformed by this. People who experience afterlife communication are in direct connection with someone who has completed the death process and has come back in spirit form to love, heal, and educate a receptive person on earth about who they are now and what they are capable of. So, even though I did not die and come back personally, I am experiencing some of the same life-changing insights as someone who has had a NDE.

Afterlife Communications with Robin Gibb of The Bee Gees

While sitting by Robin’s altar on November 3, 2017, I decided to read Transformed by the Light, by Melvin Morse, M.D. (with Paul Perry), 1992. I saw some beautiful stories that I wanted to share with Robin, and I read them out loud to him. I turned some pages and skimmed some more stories. I was just flipping around to different pages. Then I came across a story which I read. It is about an out-of-body experience. Here is the most important excerpt:

“I was able to look down at myself in my hospital bed. There were doctors and nurses moving busily around me…could see them roll a machine into the room and put it near the foot of my bed….”

“A priest came in and began to give me last rites. I moved down to the bottom of the bed and watched everything that was going on. It was like being in the audience at a play.”

“Behind me in the bed was a clock. It was up on the wall. I could see both myself in the bed and the clock, which read 11:11 am.”

“Then I went back into my body. I remember waking up and looking for myself at the foot of the bed.”    –An Arizona woman who nearly died from a reaction to medication

As soon as I read, “11:11 am”, I jumped up to look at my digital clock because I could not see what time it was from where I was reading, and I had actually lost track of time while I was reading. It was 11:11 pm! I was amazed at the precise synchronization of what I was reading with actual physical reality. I was reading about 11:11 am at the exact moment it was 11:11 pm. But, what does it mean?

If you do some research on these numbers, you will see that what these numbers could mean is open to interpretation. I say this based on the fact that I have read a lot of the interpretations! Many of them differ depending on the author. These are numbers commonly associated with twin souls. If you are interested in doing more reading, you can easily find more information by doing an internet search. Here, I choose not to provide links on this because I’m concerned about too much misinformation being given online about the numbers as they concern twin souls. I’m not sure about the accuracy of some of the information online or in books, in terms of where people are getting their interpretations from.

Afterlife Communications

In this case, I tuned into my own soul for the meaning of the numbers for me at that moment. To me, it meant that at that moment, I was in synchronistic alignment with Robin since I was at his altar reading and sharing with him from my book. When I experienced that alignment, I felt a heightened sense of awareness of his presence with me. It felt like a “hello” from him. When I read to him, I know he can hear me. With that synchronicity, I really felt like he could! It really got my attention.

It felt like confirmation that I was on the right track with what I was doing, encouragement and an energy boost. I felt bliss! What are the chances I would be reading about a NDE with Robin, where 11:11am is mentioned at the exact time it is 11:11pm! I felt very much like my activities, footsteps, and choices were being guided by higher loving forces that led me to that moment.

I also felt like I was getting something beautiful back from Robin because I was giving him something: my time, love and attention. If you are serious about communicating with a loved one in spirit on a regular basis, I would definitely recommend setting aside some time with them as often as possible. Just like relationships with people in the material world, connections with people in spirit need to be nurtured and nourished. You get back ten-fold what you put into the connection. Some responses back will be subtle and some will be absolutely mind-blowing! All are worthy or our appreciation.

It may be a good idea to ask yourself what 11:11 means to you personally. Even though other people may have good ideas as to the meaning, it may not match what is going on in your life or in your own soul. Even if you see 11:11 often, it may not mean the same thing each time. It may have to do with what you are doing at a certain time. Sometimes, I think it is a reminder to me of God’s presence with me, which is comforting. At any rate, since I became more aware of these numbers, I feel a nice spiritual connection when I see them.

Wishing you beautiful spiritual connections,

On Saturday April 28, 2018, I went to read one of my favorite spiritual blogs, Doctors with Reiki. Reiki Doc Carla is a medical doctor who practices anesthesiology and reiki. This is a twin flame blog. She is very knowledgeable in writing about the spiritual darkness that is around us in terms of satanic ritual abuse (SRA) and how dark energies have infiltrated our churches, Hollywood, the music industry, the economy, health care and others. One of her goals is to help awaken and make her readers more aware of what is really going on so we do not fall prey to it and can support others in their awakening. I am grateful for all I have learned from her.

On April 28th, I read her post for April 27th, because I was a little behind. In this post, I noticed a connection with my blog, concerning poppies. Since I have had this blog up only since April 7th, the timing is wonderful. She wrote about Anzac day:

I had never heard of Anzac Day. I saw the picture of poppies associated with it, so I did some quick research. Learning about this was of great importance to me given the theme of my blog for Robin.  I felt like I was being given a “heads up” from God and Robin to pay attention. I would like to say thank you for this.

I also noticed that the Anzac Day photo with the poppies that Carla posted is nearly identical to the picture of my RAF Bomber Command mug I posted on the Synchronicity and Samhain post.

Here’s a little of what I found out about Anzac Day:Afterlife Communications with Robin Gibb

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served.

Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli against the Ottoman Empire during World War I. Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook IslandsNiuePitcairn Islands, and Tonga, and previously was a national holiday in Papua New Guinea and Samoa.”

I offer honor, thanksgiving, and praise to all those who served and died in the countries of Australia and New Zealand, countries so close to Robin’s (and the Bee Gees) heart.

This is actually the second time I have had a synchronicity with Reiki Doc and the topic of poppies. On December 2, 2016, I read her blog in the morning and as I scroll down, I noticed the photo of a poppy, along with her message for her guide. She mentions Flanders Field. I was already moved by the fact that she had a picture of a poppy and I felt like this was a sign that Robin was with me. Here is the important excerpt:

I explained to him how in Flanders Field they cover the horror from the carnage and the death, how poppies are good things, and how their simple beauty inspires us all here on earth.

I don’t know why, but at this, Raphael started to sob. He said, ‘that was beautiful’ and he completely understood my point, of how love and beauty cover all darkness in the end…I held him and thanked him again for his kindness to me.

There IS only Love.

Here is some additional information about Flanders Fields:

Flanders Fields is a common English name of the World War I battlefields[1] in an area straddling the Belgian provinces of West Flandersand East Flanders as well as the French department of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, part of which makes up the area known as French Flanders.

The name Flanders Fields is particularly associated with battles that took place in the Ypres Salient, including the Second Battle of Ypres and the Battle of Passchendaele. For most of the war, the front line ran continuously from south of Zeebrugge on the Belgian coast, across Flanders Fields into the centre of Northern France before moving eastwards — and it was known as the Western Front.

The phrase was popularized by a poem titled In Flanders Fields by Canadian Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae which was inspired by his service during the Second Battle of Ypres. The fields were unmaintained for years before they were made into a memorial. Today Flanders Fields is home to tens of thousands of poppies.

Later that same day on December 2nd, I went to read my Bee Gees’ book called The Ultimate Biography Of The Bee Gees: Tales Of The Brothers Gibb, Kindle Edition, by Melinda BilyeuHector Cook, and Andrew Môn Hughes. I read through a couple of pages and then I came to this reference to Flanders. I was so shocked, happy and surprised with the synchronicity with the Reiki Doc blog that I cried. It meant so much to me that the events of my daily life were connected with what I was reading about the Bee Gees.

Here is a paragraph to give you some context:

Although concerts in La Coruna, Milan, Lyon and Montpelier were cancelled, the one in Brussels was reprieved late in the day. On hearing that it was going to be cancelled due to poor ticket sales, fan club representative Ann Grootjans intervened. “The promoter helped eventually in fact,” she said. “It was the record company’s fault, combined with a promoter who started promoting too late. ‘When He’s Gone’ was supposed to be in the shops, but it wasn’t, and it got no airplay either.” Ann argued that the lack of response was more down to insufficient awareness than the public’s apparent apathy. To prove her point, she organised a group of like-minded supporters to go around Belgium’s capital and the whole of Flanders putting up posters. They even covered the city of Liège in Wallonia. Within days, the show was a sell-out.

That is how it works for me with synchronicity concerning Robin. Something going on in my daily life will often match up with something connected back to him that is especially meaningful. Sometimes, all it takes is one word. Even though he is not here in physical form, his energy is still here. My energy and what I do during the day can synchronize with his energy. Items like his book symbolize him. It is mysterious. When the synchronicity occurs, it comes in ways that I never could have anticipated. Due to this, I feel like I am being guided in the choices I make each day that lead me directly into these synchronicities. It also speaks to my connection with other blog writers and people as what they do is mysteriously involved in how this tapestry is being woven. It speaks to the interconnectedness and oneness of many souls.

Thank you for reading!

A Soft White Dove

A Soft White Dove

I pray for Robin every day and send kind, warm energy to him to support him on his spiritual journey. During the summer of 2013, I decided to read this lovely Celtic prayer wishing him deep peace.  I sat in front of the altar I created for him. I recited one line from this lengthy prayer, which was, “Deep peace, a soft white dove to you.” I sat at the altar for a few moments after that and then told Robin it was time to get on with my day, but I was open to any signs or messages he had for me.  Little did I know that the one line prayer I just sent to Robin would be the catalyst for an amazing and beautiful sign of his presence.

Circumstances arose that day that led to me to clean up around our home.  I started to remove some items from the top of our refrigerator which had become a messy storage area. As I moved items around, I discovered a tile I had made about 9 years ago.

On this tile was a white dove holding an olive branch in its mouth that I had painted all those years ago.

For a moment, I was stunned and awestruck as I stood in my kitchen and held this tile.  I had this expansive feeling of childlike wonder at how I was guided to find this tile which was an exact mirror of what I had spoken to Robin in prayer just a few hours earlier. It was so amazing because I had not actually planned on cleaning the top of the refrigerator that day. Things came up that made it necessary to do so.

I had forgotten I had this tile; it had been so long since I’d last seen it.  I must have put it on top of the refrigerator a long time ago, because I honestly did not like it all that much. But that day, Spirit did not seem at all concerned about the quality of my artwork. It was going to be used as a sign and synchronicity.

Loved ones in Spirit actually hear what we say to them. Robin was giving me back exactly what I gave him to let me know he got my message.  It was like he was saying, “Deep peace, a soft white dove to you too. Here’s your long lost tile!” My question is, “How did he know I had that tile?”  It amazes me what loved ones in Spirit know about us. It’s actually incredible. It seems tied into some telepathic and psychic ability which is part of the divine intelligence. Someone that did not know you can get to know you very quickly and know all about your possessions.

Lesson: Loved ones in Spirit may be able to give you back what you give to them in your private thoughts and prayers to let you know they are with you and that they “heard” you. Circumstances during a particular day may guide you to exactly the object, song, writing, flower, etc., that matches what you said to them so you will have no doubt in your mind. When this type of synchronicity happens, it makes me wonder about how many of my choices are really my own and how many of them are divinely orchestrated, inspired and guided. I also came to realize that Robin, as well as our other loved ones, like to give us fun, amazing surprises to bring us happiness! It’s fun for them too, especially when we acknowledge, enjoy and appreciate what they give us.

Here is the Celtic prayer in its entirety. Enjoy!

Synchronicity and Samhain 2017

Synchronicity and Samhain 2017

When you are closely connected to the spirit of a loved one, it is nice to find a special way to honor them, other than with just normal day-to-day activities. October 31st is known as the date for Halloween, but it is also an important date for those belonging to Celtic cultures. Samhain (pronounced sow-en)  https://www.thoughtco.com/about-samhain-history-2562713  is the Celtic Festival of the Dead. https://myrealireland.com/irish-knowledge/samhain-the-official-name-of-halloween/ It is an important time to honor deceased ancestors and loved ones in spirit.

To celebrate Samhain, I decided to create a meal, say some prayers and recite some readings to honor Robin, his brothers and parents, my grandmother and other loving and close spirits from my ancestral blood line and my spirit line. I consider Robin a being of light from my spirit line. I followed the suggestions written about on this site:  https://www.thoughtco.com/ritual-to-honor-the-ancestors-at-samhain-2562699

It was suggested that you decorate an altar or table with pictures and items that are meaningful to your deceased loved ones. I set the table and included some pictures and candles. I also chose a plate with a paisley pattern to serve my loved ones’ meal on. I chose this plate in remembrance of Robin’s ancestors, William and Matthew Gibb, whom I learned about on Robin’s episode of Who Do You Think You Are, Series 8, Episode 7, 2011. William Gibb, Robin’s great-great grandfather, was from Paisley, Scotland and worked as a hand loom weaver, creating the well-known Paisley shawl. Matthew Gibb, Robin’s great-grandfather was born in Paisley in 1849. Several years ago, I found a beautiful paisley plate and since I knew the history Robin shared with Paisley, I bought it and kept it as a keepsake (see picture).

I also set the table with a RAF Bomber Command tea mug that I received as a present years ago.

It is decorated with poppies and this statement: “At the going down of the sun we will remember them.”

I thought that would be a wonderful addition to the table that Robin’s spirit would like (see picture).

I served a vegetarian meal of eggplant with red, yellow and green peppers, onions, tomatoes and some Parmesan cheese. I also baked some kale and served mint tea. For dessert, I made some shortbread or “soul cakes” for the occasion.

I followed the format of the link above, the ritual to honor the ancestors. I recited the prayers given and then I decided to make the ceremony more personal to me and my loved ones. I chose one of my favorite readings from a book called God Calling, by A.J. Russell. It very specifically addresses the importance of staying connected to loved ones in spirit and is one of my favorite passages in the entire book:

September 6 – Your Loved Ones

Your loved ones are very safe in My Keeping. Learning and loving and working, theirs is a life of happiness and progress.  They live to serve, and serve they truly do. They serve Me and those they love. Ceaselessly they serve.

But their ministrations, so many, so diverse, you see no more than those in my time on earth in human form could have seen the angels who ministered unto Me in the wilderness.

How often mortals rush to earthly friends who can serve them in so limited a way, when the friends who are freed from the limitations of humanity can serve them so much better, understand them better, protect better, plan better, and even plead better their cause with Me.

You do well to remember your friends in the Unseen. Companying with them the more you live in this Unseen World the gentler will be your passing when it comes. Earth’s troubles and difficulties will seem, even now, less overwhelming as you look, not at the things that are seen but at the real, the Eternal Life… (https://www.twolisteners.org/)

I talked with my loved ones over this meal about how much I love and appreciate them and how I do remember them each and every day. I talked with them about the great memories they gave me and how what we shared makes me feel close to them still.

After this, I sat quietly at the table and then played some Bee Gees music. As I sat there, with the paisley plate and the poppy mug side-by-side, the title of this website came to me: Paisley and Poppies! I had not had a definite title before this moment. Every title I thought of seemed boring before this. Since both are important to Robin and reflect him well, I felt that it was a perfect title to honor his life.

Since Paisley and Poppies had never occurred to me until that moment, I decided to do a google search on it. I was so surprised when I saw the title of this book during my search and the synchronistic nature of it:    The Power of Things Unseen: Tales of Choosing Crazy Over Normal  (Oct 3, 2017) by Leanne R. Wood. This title matched the reading I just gave from God Calling, with the reference to friends in the unseen! Not only that, it had just been published earlier in the month of October. I had a very warm feeling that Robin was with me and very much aware of the celebration taking place to honor him and my loved ones.

The title of the book was not the only thing I found to be synchronistic and divinely orchestrated. I found a reference to both “Paisley” and “poppies” as well. Here is the excerpt from the book where the author mentions Paisley first and then poppies in the second paragraph. The “Paisley” she is referring to is Paisley, Scotland, where Robin’s ancestors are from:

“…And so in the fall of 1993, we spluttered along our way, out of Paisley and across Europe, to start our next adventure in a very old, green Land Rover that the girls had by now lovingly named Grover….”

“…On our fourth day of driving, just as we were chugging past fields crimson with poppies on our approach into Budapest, Grover sputtered and came to a complete stop…”

Another synchronicity I noticed is that a man named Murray is mentioned in her book, which synchronizes with the name of Faye Schindelka’s (Poppies from Heaven) brother Murray. Poppies in the context of another man named Murray is very meaningful for me.

This series of synchronicity was so amazing and electric that I felt that our dinner had gone especially well. My heart was filled with love and gratitude for how Robin and my loved ones had shown up in this way.

I decided to close the ceremony with a beautiful Celtic blessing (see also post on the white dove synchronicity). I wanted to end with a blessing of the spirits I invited to be present and a deep thank you for their presence with me, watching over me. I typed in my google search, deep peace of the running wave to you, because I knew that line was in the prayer I was looking for. I found a book called The Dominion of Dreams: Under the Dark Star (January 1, 1910), by William Sharp, London. Pg. 423-424. In this book, the prayer was expressed in its entirety, so I read it out loud to honor my spirit family.

The next day, November 1st, I browsed through this book again and noticed that the writing was so beautiful. I had never heard of William Sharp and was impressed with his use of imagery. As a result, did some more research on him and made the most amazing discovery: He was born in Paisley, Scotland!

Born in Paisley, Scotland- September 12, 1855

William Sharp was a Scottish writer of poetry and literary biography who, from 1893, wrote also as Fiona Macleod. He was born in Paisley and educated at Glasgow Academy and the University of Glasgow. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/355654.William_Sharp

I was absolutely amazed that I found the book of an author, with the exact poem I was looking for, that was born in Paisley. This is a very precise synchronicity with my choosing the paisley plate for the Samhain ceremony to honor Robin and his ancestors. What an amazing connection. It felt like I was being given a gift back for the dinner and love I showed Robin and my ancestors. It shows that our souls are closely connected, that there was a Divine Order to the ceremony that I did not know was occurring while I was participating in it. It is the magical nature of synchronicity that helps me to know I am being guided in each choice I make. My soul family members may be unseen, but they are very powerful and know exactly how to get through to me!
